I am Maltese ,and the only thing that I like ,is Gozo because is safe , nothing else .The people are all spies for the government. It means if you don't support the government you are busted. Here everybody knows everybody. Therefore is not a place that can make you happy ,actually it make you angry. The roads are snake shape and parking in both side of the road ,which driving becomes impossible. If I was your age I go back to my country which is Florida ,cheaper to live, and nobody knows you. Great place.

Anthony my friend there's advantages & disadvantages WHEREVER you live. Don't forget Malta is a small island 'where everybody knows your name" like the song in the TV series "Cheers" 🍻☺. The "Political Gagbini/Spies" were in their prime during the Dom Mintoff era and it split the population. I don't think this is still going on 🤔 in Modern EU Malta, as far as I know - been living abroad for 50yrs!.. Political "interference" is horrible occurrence in Europe especially Eastern Europe. My friend try and focus on the "positives" for a happy life. After all isn't that the reason we like watching "Alex in Malta" - HIS POSITIVITY!. God bless.. 🙏. Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

Malta is too small of a country its 30KM that is the size of an international airport.

Malta is 316km squared , it feels bigger than it actually is because of the rough terrain & narrower / more bendy and short roads (also there is a lot compacted into a small area, like living in a big city for example) its also very easy to travel a plane ticket is as cheap as 20 euro to anywhere in Europe or just take the ferry to Sicily. I don't see the size as a problem at all

I love every bit of Malta. I have had my greatest adventures there and across the globe by the friends I made there, many years ago. Without Malta, my life wouldn't be complete. I miss my friends I made on Malta so much! They are now spread all across the globe. Even met the love of my life there (though it ended rather tragically). Thank you for your videos, Alex! They make me really sick for Malta again!

I think people are leaving Malta because they're being priced out of Malta. And squeezed out of Malta by lack of space. But that will fold in on itself as it always does everywhere. The huge concrete buildings will end up in the Mediterranean in about 30 years. Too bad I won't be alive to see that.

Alex, can I throw you something of an "off the subject" question? It's a question I've had about Sary (Sari?) since she first appeared in your videos: being American, I couldn't help noticing her American English. Is she actually *_from_* Finland with Finnish her first language ? I was part of the Disneyland Paris opening crew in 1992 and knew a few French people who went out of their way to learn English from Americans instead of Brits (as is usual) and so I'm wondering if she made the same decision. Love your videos!
