In Aurora's doco-movie"ONCE" there's a whole 'back-room/bathroom' moment where Aurora retreats to, she experiences an unreal 'anxiety attack' & ends up guzzling down on a bottle of wine to get through her difficult feelings @ the time, it actually makes me sad. I'd love for you to dissect what you think was going on @ the time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIW8iaqBm7SppNk 45:13

Hey max, I enjoyed your analysis! If you haven’t seen/heard Aurora perform “runaway” at the noble peace prize, it is worth watching. Though it’s not an interview, I think you’d really enjoy her body language in correlation to her lyrics. She has a raw honesty that her fans get drawn into. She was even barefoot, which made me smile☺️ She is the definition of “authentic self”.

Love your reactions. Here's another Norwegian that you might consider reacting to. Shortly after turning 9, this little barefooted girl arranged and performed a masterpiece cover of the Screamin' Jay Hawkins' 1956 original, "I Put a Spell on You". Although this song has been performed time and time again, many think this studio performance got closest to the original artist's intent. To further confound the issue, it also just doesn't seem rational that this is coming from a little Angelina Jordan. You may not prefer critiquing child singers, but this child prodigy is like nothing we've seen before. "I PUT A SPELL ON YOU" (black and white studio performance) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKipnaJ5hb2tedU - A Child Prodigy - Angelina Jordan is a child prodigy who: began singing at 16 months old; shows a clear preference for jazz/blues (Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, Etta James, Ben E. King, and Amy Winehouse), a talent which always work its way into every performance with her vibrato and riffs; she arranges all of her music; entered Norway's Got Talent at 7 y/o, and ended up winning; has performed around the world; her parents have kept their focus on her having a normal childhood so 90% of requests and offers have been turned down. The largest performance she has sung for was for over 40,000 people, while still a preteen in Norway. Having won Norway’s Got Talent, she was invited to compete America's Got Talent "The Champions" in 2020, at 13 y/o. She auditioned with her own arrangement of "Bohemian Rhapsody", earning herm a pass straight to the finals. By 15, she has over 160 cover performances and 5 originals. She has signed with Republic Records at 14. Her parents have still tried to preserve a normal childhood as possible for her and her little sister. She turned 16 this January, and Angelina's presence in the music industry is increasing (Here is Republic Records' page about Angelina - www.republicrecords.com/artists/angelina-jordan ) Here are 2 other videos you may wish to sample. The first is her "Bohemian Rhapsody" audition for AGTC and the second is her final performance on Norway's Got Talent, where she arranged and performed "Summertime". This second video has English CC and is broken into 4 parts: a spotlight on Angelina's experience on NGT; her performance of "Summertime"; the judge's responses to the impacts Angelina has made on them; and the announcement of the winner. Here are the time breakdowns of this performance: spotlight 0-1.40; performance of "Summertime" 1.40-4.20; judges summation 4.20-8.00; winner selected 8.00-12.48. If you wish to only listen to the song, I've included the judge's comments below. I've also included the backstory on why Angelina always performs and records barefoot. AGTC - "BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY" (includes golden buzzer) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnSUmXdtoMSKitk NGT 4 - "SUMMERTIME" (spotlights Angelina, pre/post performance, winning NGT, and has English CC) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH-XnHSlm5acqZI - Norway's Got Talent Judges Reflections on Angelina - Omer Bhatti: “We were in shock when she started to sing…it was a discussion whether it was an impression of that kind of music (ref to Gloomy Sunday performance) or the real deal…and the next time we saw her, she owned the stage, when she rehearsed, she told the bassist what she wanted and had full control. And we were like…ok…you are a star…we have something special here…”. Judge Lisa Tønne: “…I am so happy that there is a human like you on earth. For me, this is not human like talent, I can’t explain it. … I’ve never ever experienced such a talent in my life.… “Don’t think. Just sing”. Judge Mia Gundersen: “Angelina, you have a gift that you got at such an early age. And to be able to convey this talent to the world is a huge task for an 8 year old, but you nail it. There’s almost no one that can convey in the way you do in this age. There are a lot of singers out there, and some of them sing great. But you have such a unique style. You have to protect your style. You have to understand that for yourself because it’s a gift…" Judge Bjarte Hjelmeland: “It won’t help how many times you say ‘Don’t you cry’, I can’t help it but to cry. You know I promised you and myself to not cry, but you hit something inside me whenever you sing, and you hit something in many people when you sing. And I’m thinking to myself, in 10 years… I think that is unimaginable…You sing so amazingly good.” - The Barefoot Princess of Jazz Backstory - Angelina is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz". She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio recording. The story is that when living in the Middle East, at age 6, she came across an orphaned girl about her age sitting in the street, earning money by weighing people on a bathroom scale. She noticed how really cold it was and that the little girl was not only barefooted, but had scars on her feet. So 6 year old Angelina took off her own shoes, shoes that she loved, and gave them to the girl. Angelina decided she wouldn't wear shoes in her performances to remind her of all the children in the world who had no parents, proper clothes, or shoes. She remembers that girl every time she takes off her shoes to perform. Of the encounter, little 6 year old Angelina wrote in her diary: “The world is very strange. Right then and there I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.” In 2015, at 9 years of age, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter (making her the youngest published author in Norway). The book and her attire Angelina wore for her AGTC audition (above) were designed by her grandmother, who was herself a child prodigy in poetry and art. She has performed in charities for children, helping to raise 21 million euros and millions of dollars.

She just grew up in a very safe environment, there is enough stability in her context to actually be free. As a person from a third world country I can tell you a lot of people who are like her here are middle to upper class people. I admire these people but we also have to reflect on what environmental factors allow us to be free and impulsive. You need to be incredibly secure inside and that's a result of a stable and safe upbringing. A luxury if you will.

She’s fluid in motion, and poetic with her descriptions as she responds. Without even singing, she still has the ability to completely draw her listeners in, and allows them to connect to her beautiful mind, and get a genuine feel for the way she sees and experiences the world. I especially enjoyed her interview with the two Australians. She made them so uncomfortable with her honesty and unique personality😄. But I absolutely love that about her. Yes it's fun watching and listening to your input on people's communication skills, actually the only one I've seen from you was your previous Aurora review, truth be told, guess Aurora is the only person that catches my attention, I'll keep an eye open you might come up with somebody else that may be interesting to me.....thing is......what captivates me from Aurora is how real and authentic she is, she cares about important matters and raises her voice and stands for every word she says....and on the other hand....she doesn't give a flying fuck for stupidity and irrelevance she is an amazingly beautiful spirit, and a stunning artist, absolutely different and unique, in every aspect....I'm 69, musician painter and proud granpa, seen a lot of freaks, tons of "normal and common" fellow humans, but most people seem to be hooked to useless standards, trying whatever possible to belong in one of these highly advertised trends fill of empty rules moving in the only direction it commands serving very obscure ends and purposes like blind sheep not knowing where they are being programmed to move and you see where we're all at in these times power and money are the worlds gods now, what a fucking waste. And as I have seen so far she has a way to touch you, mem and any one that's in her presence digging deep in our cores in a personal way, Aurora is wise in her own manner and ...... man she's so good this would certainly be a better world if more people could have access to her and her music is spectacular she is one of the kind Amen

For those saying it is impossible to be free when you come from an unsafe childhood or environment(it is just a little harder than otherwise but the what you will become which is the whole of you(with our own unknown parts and known and constantly knowing more of ourselves) and that is beautiful(just like you). While at times it can be challenging to be hopeful, know that hope is not a medicine that just makes you forget about the pain and suffering but something that helps you to keep on believing and being yourself adamantly because what better a person to be than yourself that is with all your "flaws". That is not to say to ignore all the setbacks or challenges and get on with life but to shine the light on them and shine it alone and together with the people you love throughout your daily life. So one has to be brave to believe in and be themselves when the outside world says it's not the way... All the suffering is outside us it is not us(that doesn't mean there won't be pain cause when we are open to love we are also opening ourselves to immense pain as well). If you look at little children, all their pain is outside of themselves meaning they don't internalize their pain as much as adults or teenagers or little children who have been hurt multiple times continuously. And little children forgive easily even though they may act out on their pain, it's all so temporary... And through growing up in this society we are prone to internalising our pain and blaming ourselves for it and when there is great suffering that's when we should fight because the suffering is not at all ours to hold on to... This is where we should shine our light and be brave to keep doing it even though it may seem like it's not making anything better but just being yourself is powerful enough to do anything you want to do... Life is not all logical and those who are fully logical are not the most peaceful ones too... We all deserve peace and it is with our own power to see and believe and be ourselves without the layers that we accumulate throughout the years of growing up in this society. Remember, healing doesn't mean there never was pain or suffering it just means you chose to be yourself in its own form rather than what you were made or had to be.. Whether we grew up in a safe environment or not we all have our own pain and burdens(neither one greater than the other because we see our pain as the most powerful because it is to us).. but one thing we all have got to know is that our pain is not the scale to our value... And don't suppress any emotions it will come back in an another form which sometimes can be harmful to others and us. So find a healthy release and don't suppress any emotion. Because it is a part of us, It is a part of who we are. And we owe it ourselves to be free and the best of ourselves(and the best version is where you'll also find your utmost peace) and it's okay your not your best self every single time it doesn't work like that. But at least you just have to try to heal your traumas(physical injuries will heal without us trying to heal you just have to give it the right nutrition but mental injuries we should try to heal) so that we can share our profound joy and life with the people we see and meet and know and love. This comment has no intention of hurting anyone but just a friend in the corner of the internet sharing some truthful insights. Not everything has to work for everyone! Thank you so much❤ I love you all so much for reading it to the end!🎉✨

Yeah, the HAIK is very good. If you're gonna watch that, I recommend watching the whole documentary. There's two parts, the part that's the doco and the concert at the end. If you watch the whole thing, you'll know who some in the audience are and what is going on a little better. But seriously, the Nidarosdomen concert is where to start! For some, like me, it's such a powerful performance that it is life changing. Depending on your life story and personality, her very being combined with the music and performances can be like a drug, but in a good way. It's hard to explain, but if you decide to go down that rabbit hole you'll understand what us "Warriors and Weirdos" see in her. Deep down I almost believe she is put here by mother nature herself to show us the way :) Oh and your analysis was very good! Edit: You probably don't really do typical "reaction" videos, but is there perhaps a way to bridge the gap by instead of doing reactions, you could do an analysis of how she manages to take command of people's emotions during her performances?

Thanks for doing another Aurora analysis! You've done a very good job of tapping into her personality and what makes her so loved, aside from the music. Speaking of which, I get that music is not your expertise, but that's obviously a huge part of why she's so loved too. She has the (very unique!) voice of an angel, is an excellent songwriter, with great music and deep, thoughtful lyrics. And she's an absolutely fantastic performer. It almost seems unreal that one person can offer so much in one tiny package. But it's the entirety of that package that makes her so loved. It's EVERYTHING.

Being an "open" person, and having a very philosophical mindset certainly contributes largely to her "freedom", because TRUE freedom and liberty are entirely internal, and can only be limited by one's own personal self-censoring. But being a multi-millionaire at the age of 26 doesn't hurt either, when it comes to "personal freedom". Just sayin'...

We look nothing alike but I talk to people in this same flavor except mostly they just look at me funny or do this nervous laugh, I guess because they don't know what to say. I try to make space for them with silence because maybe they're just being thoughtful before they say something in return, but many times that seems to make it worse for them.

I absolutely agree 👍 She’s so genuine and intelligent, and she’s a very intelligent songwriter too. She got a question once, of what she wanted to be reminded of, and she said a genius 😊 When she was about 13 years, the pupils took an IQ test, and she scored high. She was on a tv show once, and she said that to distract herself she thought of the decimals in PI. The host asked how many she knew, and she answered that at one point she knew about 200. But she didn’t know as many anymore. And the host asked how many she knew, and Aurora listed about 80 decimals right there, and could’ve kept going. To me she’s one of a kind, and her songwriting is really something to explore 😍😍

Love your reactions. Here's a fellow Norwegian that you might consider analyzing.

For sure, your ideas/talk about Aurora, totally agree to all of them. She really does show herself, the thing I liked about Aurora is that she gives me the "It's ok to be weird" vibes you know! Also I suggest you watch her Instagram lives (On YT) she's so interfered or like talkative to the audience and gives advice to us .

I discovered your channel tonight with your first Aurora video showing up in my recommendations. Being a huge Aurora fan I obviously loved it ! While watching I thought how interesting it would be if you did a video about Diana Gabaldon. Diana's mind is extremely fast and I've always found her quite fascinating. Her creative process is very unique. I don't know what about Aurora made me think of her but yes I would be very interested to hear your thoughts on this!

Maybe you don't understand because you're not a weirdo like most of her fans. Maybe you're a normal human who needs open his mind a bit more. I really don't know. I think in this time of pure plastic bullshit in the music industry that doesn't mean anything, she looks like a real thing and people needs to know that there is something or someone that isn't lying to us.
