McNicholas is such a square... should never have been let anywhere near a weekly music paper.... let alone editing one!

I agree with connor here to be fair. Alot of the characters hanging around Pete at that time were quite sinister. Your train station low end level drug abuser was being employed as a driver or a tour manager. Just so there was perpetual access to drugs. If someone tough like Alan Mcghee couldn't even handle that circle, then it must have been bad. These guys weren't funky junkies by any means

@@wimblewomble21 there's no denying it could be a toxic environment but McNicholas' attempt to both insert himself into the narrative at the same time mewling about his 'feelings'... spare me. I dealt with some of the 'characters' hanging around Pete at the time...a square meal and a good nights sleep is what they needed. Just say no kids.

@@timhall3575 at that time it was probably very hard to deny pete any air time or not acknowledge him. He was dating the biggest supermodel in the world!!!!! A few of those lads got a good night's sleep and a square meal at her majesty's pleasure, and it still didn't change anything. He was surrounded by people who weren't qualified to be in the jobs they were doing.

The age old question. Who is to blame the media or the people that lap it up?
