On one of your trips up to the upper peninsula, you will have to go to Isle Royale. You can only take a boat or a plane there. No cars are there and there is tons of hiking. It’s gorgeous there.

We wanted to go there so badly but it didn’t fit into our schedule. We will definitely plan for it in the future and try to camp for a few days. We have heard this is a gorgeous place to experience remote nature at its best.
