Assembly and fabrication is a different discipline than line maintenance. This gentleman was correct to ask the A&P/IA how much assembly and fabrication that they had! You don’t earn the kind of money that he just spent by asking the wrong questions! I’m glad the MOJO Channel is inspiring new pilot’s and builders! Super interested in the TSI now as a possible future build project for myself. Can you comment on the IFR capabilities of the aircraft, most notably if it has been tested extensively in IMC? I know it has an impressive modern IFR avionics suite, but what about its ability to disperse the static buildup in the clouds? I can’t seem to find anything about it mentioned on the Sling website. Does it have static wicks? Thanks for the awesome videos as always!

Question to Max: You mentioned that you like how snug the Sling was. I noticed that your knees were right up against the bottom of the instrument panel. Were you able to push the rudder pedals full-deflection in each direction? Also, have you considered a more roomy airplane? It seems you'd be more comfortable in a Bonanza. Good on you for bringing young folks into aviation. Volunteerism is what started me down the path to what has become a 40+-year aviation career.

or a rockwell ... there are a lot of roomy planes. But withthe Sling he gets a brand new airplane, with a less fuel consuming engine without giving up cruise speed . Cheap maintenance and for a selfbuild a very orthodox construction so unlikely to get surprises. And it still can have 4 persons :-)
