What are your thoughts on playing in independent men’s league rather than a club sport? My college didn’t have baseball as a club sport. What about late bloomers?

In light of the portal and how universities are looking for players, perhaps playing a club sport is the best option for high school grads going to college. Definitely an interesting option to consider for today’s youth. Thank you for your thoughts.

it's certainly not the best option, but it's an option.

If you cannot play anymore, you can consider working with staff of said sport by being a student manager as well. Be among your “people”, but still be able to keep school first.

Sometimes that itch will remain. But by working with staff, you can be a part of a D1 program, making similar relationships and having great stories. Seeing how the sausage is made at a level that even the players don’t get. A life in baseball can be made outside of playing.
