Cynthia is ambiguous on a lot more than where she lives. In Black and White, a trainer mentions that Cynthia supposedly goes swimming at night as part of her exploration of a nearby area. However, that same trainer mentions that if anyone tries to get close to Cynthia at night as she's doing this, she goes running, and actively mentions that Cynthia doesn't want anyone to see her in a swimsuit. Between that and her hiding where she lives, it suggests that Cynthia herself does not like opening up to or exposing herself to other people (no, not in that way, you perv). She is very guarded with her personal life, never letting anyone ever truly get close to her. This characterization seems very consistent across every incarnation. Normally, this guardedness suggests insecurity, but considering she never lashes out against anyone when faced with it, it seems like she's just embarrassed by what she hides. Like she has interests that she doesn't think aren't bad, but she'd rather keep hidden anyway.

Honestly, I fell in love with her because she was just helpful and appeared so much , open to talking to you all the time, and giving you tidbits of who she is. I like that they made him have an alter ego, it was smart since no one would have suspected him being the master mind behind Team Galactic. Only the anime version doesn't make you feel sympathy towards him when he technically dies at the end. I love all versions of him the same regardless.

+Nyk V.D. Except Cynthia suspected it for basically no reason (because he got emotional at TR invading the ruins? Cyndy, I know this guy named Eusine...). Making Cyrus look older is an odd category because he's already easily mistakable for nearly twice his actual age (lest we forget that he's not even 30). So making him look older than he should is weird in any canon. Probably the only one where he looks like he could be relatively close to his actual age is DPA but even that puts some massive strain on the timeline because he would have had to have been in Galactic in his mid-teens for a certain other character to have gotten involved. Anime Cyrus just...isn't Cyrus. Sure he has the same name and looks almost the same, but his entire goal was something he says in the games he'll never do because it would mean he could never accomplish his goal. He says directly in Platinum that he would never "go off somewhere alone" (and yes I know he stays in the Distortion World but he isn't stuck there and can leave as easily as you and Cynthia do). And he basically tells everyone that the new creation is only for him. Yeah I know there's that scene after the speech, but it's almost certain that he meant the godly power was only for him, because he later confirmed that there would in fact be others there. I feel like the anime writers played up to the "world only for me" line and decided they knew everything they had to.

+BJGvideos Yeah forgot to mention that. I definitely agree. I don't like how they made him emotional. It was very OOC of the writers. I think they made Cyrus that way to turn him into a cliche villain. I guess it was less more tike consuming for the writers instead of expanding his character. Cyrus as a character had so much potential to be one of the greatest villain in DPP, heck maybe the whole series. Its too bad. I felt that Ghetsis fell victim to that as well.

If you survived that fight with more than one pokemon, ESPECIALLY in Diamond/Pearl, but also in Platinum, then you either used Action Replay or were a god. to this day, i really appreciate how relatable she is as a character. yes, her and her Garchomp are ultimately unbeatable (since her last appearance), but she is pretty relatable in a lot of ways. her seemingly humble childhood, her apparent humble start as a Pokemon trainer, her passion for ruins and history, and of course, her love for ice cream. at first glance, she just seems like some strong character that no one can ever defeat, but she has a lot of qualities that give her a more down-to-earth feel, and i really appreciate that about her character.

Fun fact, Cynthia takes up 3/5 of the hardest trainers in pokemon history. DPP, BDSP, and Volo all are some of the hardest trainer battles, and if we really needed to we can include Unova Cynthia making her take up 4/5 or exclude DPP and make it 2/5. Yeah, Cynthia is basically badass, and probably will be one of the if not the toughest trainer battles of all time for a very very long while

What I really like about Cynthia is not only she is a beautiful, great Champion, but also unique as a Trainer. She is smart, badass, had a nice taste of clothes, and an awesome theme. Her appearances in the anime/manga are pretty cool, no doubt, but it's really the games that made her stand out. Like Red, the rematches in Platinum and especially the new Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl made her a very powerful opponent, with her absolute highest level being 88 out of her Garchomp. She's the definition of tough.

I recently commented on the Cynthia Team Buddy animation, I just want to say I do not dislike this channel, just a particular video and perhaps others like it. Cynthia is my favorite champion for three reasons: one, her team is very diverse. Two, her personality and her love of ruins yet taking so long to pick which ice cream she wants. And three, she is the only champion to have ever beat me in the Pokemon games.
