I think good policy can be made without legalizing murder. The US has a higher birth rate in general than other "developed world" countries but unlike you who thinks its a bad thing I think sustaining reasonable population growth when we're the wealthiest country on earth makes perfect sense. Why do you think "universal childcare" solves anything? I think the best carer of a child is the child's parent, whether birth parent or adoptive. I think everyone sending their kids off to be cared for in a state-run or mandated facility sounds more like the hell you deserve for the greedy life you choose. Both parents should not need a full-time job to support their family. At some point we need to prioritize our children over our money, and that's exactly what anti-abortion is about.

Sure there is adoption and that is a wonderful thing for want to be parents. However, there are some women who have severe mental illness or severe health complications, severe drug addiction or has been traumatized by rape that cannot carry the pregnancy through without risking the babies health and mental well being in the womb or as soon as he or she is born. Too many children are out there who have no parents in this world, and many of those babies and children in those orphanages or foster care are disabled, have health problems or mental illness or mental challenges. It takes certain loving, financially well secured parents to take that on. Those poor children lack a home, love, security and financial healthcare to help improve their lives. What upsets me, is that I know some women who could never bore children of their own and want to adopt, can't because you have to meet high expectations and meet the criteria to adopt those children. You need to be have lots of money to adopt children. That is sad for those women who want to adopt but can't because they are not financially secure enough, or have a history of some mistakes they made while they were young that won't allow them to adopt.

I applaud this Pastor, Joel Hunter, for correcting his course to focus on all of human life and to turn away from the racist rhetoric dispensed by the President, also facilitated by the modern Evangelical Church. I agree with Pastor Joel: The Modern Evangelical Church is more sensitive to loosing money at the collection plate than they are to caring out Jesus Commandments. I believe those big edifices that all of the church goers come to each week is expensive and MUST be paid for. Salaries have to be paid. So if anything gets in the way of that, it must go! This includes Jesus and what HE stand for when He commanded: "Treat all Person's as you would have them treat you." Ultimately it's about money and power. There is no doubt in my mind, the Evangelical Church as a whole is going to experience a rapid reduction in members. If there is one thing Trump has done for the church, it is, he has helped to pull back the vale of hypocrisy that Evangelicals have been hiding behind for so long. Their intolerance, bigotry, selfishness, and shortsightedness is written on the billboards of these times. Personally, I can no longer attend this type of establishment any more. I Love Jesus, and He is sufficient for me. Best wishes for the Pastor and his movement.

I quit going to two churches back when Obama was elected. It seemed like all the bigets came out of the woodwork. I could not stand to listen to their gossip and their talk about how God was taking all the wealth from the heathen and giving it to the righteous. Instead of feeling lifted up and supported, my heart felt broken, You all have given back some my faith and reverence for Christians. We are not cheats and liars. In recent years, I have met more Christians out of the church, than in church. Christians working to help and encourage other. I felt down one day and God said to my heart, "Look around. I have many people set aside for ME with unity, love, and power." Our unity and love brings God into the midst of us and gives us power to transform the corrupt into what we and God want. It gives us favor with each other. Jesus is our big brother. We are his occupying army. We must stay in unity and love. God is love and He makes us more than conquerers. We represent God's way of love. Violence is not our way.. Behold the love we share glorifies God. In our midst the wounded and lost will find peace and healing. We must never give up. We must never allow them to again be lost or destroyed.

I don't know where you live but where I live there is an EXTREME shortage of foster homes and permanent housing for these children. There are not enough people willing to take on the task of being a foster parent and some of the people who are willing, do it for the wrong reasons so those children are suffering even more once they are in the system. You cannot just support pro life, you must support the programs that protect those lives once their actially here. All to often they are going without the love and stability they need. Many pro-life Christians and churches go beyond wanting to end abortion. Many churches out there help run places to meet the needs of those with unwanted pregancies and can help provide the resources needed to have a healthy pregnacy, educate them on pregnancy and parenting, and help with their baby once it's born. Many talk to their congregations about prayerfully considering being foster parents or adopting a child. Many with use some of their funds or allow fundraisers to help pay for a family to adopt (it's actually really expensive and difficult). Many will go through the process to adopt a woman's unwanted child when it is born. There are many churches who are willing to welcome and love and help these women who are planning on giving up their children for adoption. Many churches/Christians support people in many ways. Many provide financial help, many run food banks or just donate food to individuals directly, many have drives to meet other needs in their community or in individual lives. There are Christians all over taking care of people. I find that people make a lot of assumptions about what people who support this or that are like. Their assumptions can end up spreading lies and hate. This is not very Christianly for us to do in my opinion.

When you grow older and study these things you begin to realize this, and that's why older people tend to be more conservative, at least those who aren't in the bubbles of academia or politics. Hiking the minimum wage will have severe adverse effects on job growth as there are literally millions of people who just want to get started in the career of their choice but there's no way they can bring $15/hr value to a company as a walk-in, so this forces people to go into student debt to become "qualified" first through some expensive degree program or internship when they could have just started working at a lower wage that was affordable to the company and worked up to $15+ within 6-12 months with no debt. And setting a federal pay rate this high would destroy businesses in most of the rural parts of the country where $30-40k annual is the AVERAGE for all types of careers, so restaurants, grocery, and essential public services would have to hike prices dramatically (and fire people) to afford the new employee costs. The USA is the world's richest country with the world's most powerful military. The threshold of social programs possible before a country of this much power becomes socialist is not independent of these factors. That's why it's better for US social programs to be state-level rather than federal-level, and even "red" states that vote straight Republican at the federal level will often elect Democratic mayors, state reps, and state governors who want to expand state social programs. The message is simple: there's nothing wrong with social programs, we just don't trust Washington DC to handle them all, and the ubiquity of Medicare fraud is a fine example of why. With what the US throws into Medicare we could nearly have a single-payer system. But when the ACA bill was passed none of the Republicans supported it. Are they against social programs? Or are they against mandating that people buy ultra-expensive private insurance under the burden of an ever-increasing penalty, crony capitalism masquerading as a social program! Who benefits from Republican policies? Everyone who pays less taxes, everyone effected by drug, gun, and sex trafficking across the borders, everyone who can't rely on the police for self-defense... everyone whose ancestors were freed from slavery.

It actually just describes a Christian who actively shares the testimony of Jesus & his good news of Salvation. Let me first say, he has my respect, however, in attempt to explain his position he makes some assumptions that may not be true to Pro-life advocates and Trump supporters in general. I address two things he mentions; first, Pro-lifers are pro-life, hence, soup kitchens, church programs for addicts, pregnant single mothers, etc.. etc for those in need. Church and many other NGO's seek to provide these aids knowing that there are some of us who fall in hard times, or just have difficulty in life - -- but the issue of pro-life came to the forefront because of Abortion - this is not to deny needy people after birth. Secondly, a mother cannot take care of her children if she is sick, lacking strength and ability to do it. She must take care of herself first, her health. The world needs America to be strong, to fight against communism, terrorism, racism, etc. Do you see any other country taking the place of America? The only country which stands in the way of China from taking over Taiwan is USA. If USA was weak economically, militarily, and in leadership they will not stand a chance. The world needs a strong America to help--- hence we do not mind America first agenda- because in her strength, others are able to ask help from her. Look at Afghanistan - Taliban has taken over because they know that America will not intervene - they saw the weakness and went in and now we have another chaos - who will take in the refugees? who is going to extract the Americans stuck there while Biden is relaxing in Camp David. Oil prices are soaring, history of America is being deleted as we speak. No nation is without fault, NONE. But as Christians are we to perpetuate misunderstanding, unforgiveness etc? I just found out that he is a Pastor and I do not mean any disrespect. But why didn't he stand up to what is "Christian" and remove himself from Obama when Obama signed same-sex marriage and lit the White House in rainbow. It seems odd to me that now he walks away from his church based on Pro-life misassumption. There is no judgements day. Religuin is a human condition only. When we pass from this life we will have "Life REVIEW" I died during open heart surgery and was greeted by spirit guides/angels who showed me that my time was not done here and that I must return. We all have a date of birth and a date to die here on earth. We have agreed to in order to grow our soul. I actually felt the most incredible love, warmth and acceptance. I no longer live in fear.
