John, you are the man bro, love your attitude and drive to push yourself to progress 😎👌 you are a good example of how to move forward in a difficult process and it pays you great dividens as well as the people that see and hear you(you can apply your principles of hard work, dedication and positivity to any situation and be successful 😎👌)appreciate you bro and congrats on knocking out some banger tricks, I know Aaron kyro would be proud 👏 these videos are the kinda stuff mogley talks about wanting to see(the process)and I agree that it is nice to hear you talk about what your gonna do, how your gonna do it and why you didn't land it. This process is crucial to learning and understanding why(it's the way my brain works anyway)I love that you make different kinds of content and care about the community as a whole(different ways of thinking, viewers and skaters etc.)keep killing it John, you are an inspiration. Also used to love your old style NYC videos riding around on an electric board looking for a skate spot and just destroying it. Felt organic and like hanging out on a trip. I feel you have that vibe no matter what you do and that's why it is so easy to hang out with you, just wish I had more time, with life, family and job there's only so much time left for recreation.

really miss this style of videos where you would just skate around and talk about whats on your mind. yeah its not nyc streets but its cool challenges and seeing you get better as a skater. love it man keep it up

I love a fresh deck, they just feel sturdy and the pop is fantastic. What I actually hate is new griptape. For me that's what needs to be broken in because it's usually way too grippy and takes a ton of effort to flick the board.
@wattso1695 Жыл бұрын
just rub the extra grip to smooth it a little.
@5teeleDuke Жыл бұрын
When I get a fresh deck I'm usually landing my go to tricks within a few tries. I actually prefer the grippyness of new grip that's why I skate mob grip. You actually don't have to slide your foot as much, if its taking a ton of effort you gotta change your foot positioning. Something about fresh grip and a new board just makes the board suck up back to your feet after throwing a flip trick. Also it's the best time to learn 360 variations.

I knew a sponsored skater that would sell us his slightly used boards for 10 bucks. It was affordable to skate back then.

I like this style of video. It’s fun to watch someone set their skate goal, and go after it. Whether or now they’re successful doesn’t even matter. It’s the chase that I enjoy watching.

Is it easier to pinch into manuals heel side or toe side
@progressdaily100 Жыл бұрын
You don’t want to pinch on manuals at all, try keeping the board as flat as possible

I don't skate, me personally I'm a scooter kid but OMG john hill you are crazy. I'm sure people tell you but the amount of effort you put into your tricks everyday and that you leave out of videos is absolutely insane. I can't imagine being able to go at it this hard everyday. And I'm sure your taking this not trying to be cocky but you are like my role model for real I hope some day to be as productive and stay as balanced, happy, and calm as you are (at least in videos maybe your a terrible person off camera).❤❤Ty for helping me so much and keeping me happy I love your videos and they are what I look for right when I go on you tube. Stay radical Broh. Btw every single day I live by the "quote" I guess, of progress daily, it really helps. I hope you see this lol.

No pros purposely skate old, beat down boards. Stop lying. Also, pros do nose manny nollie flips cause they're better. Nollie heels out of everything are easier, that's why all the weak pros with weak tech skills do them. Require no set up, your toes naturally hand off the board, you can get lucky 57% of the time. Even nollie heelers don't nollie heel out of stuff cause they know shits weak.
