Oh that was awesome, and then Henya, mentioned Mel and Kson's first collab and it was on CB and Henya went to watch it, then started to browse around. Pretty sure Henya had previously put 2 and 2 together and knew Mel did that kind of content. About the thing about chat being respectful and stuff. Filian joined Mel on the other site once (not doing anything sexual), and she isnt too good with lewd stuff. She even mentioned about halfway in that the chat in the porn site was nicer and more respectful then 99% of the communities on twitch. Thats what the science team is. No community is ever completly 100% asshole free, but Mel did a great job at making hers one of the kindest and most understanding on the internet

It definitely helps that with how she makes just hanging out and having a good time while also being lewd the focus of her cb streams, it really drives the assholes out. Because if someone is going to be toxic in the chat, it's just going to completely ruin the vibe for everyone, so no one in the chat is going to tolerate those assholes. Plus with how Mel is about sexual and kink education, she really hammers home the concept of personal boundaries with her community, because respecting boundaries and keeping tabs on what people are comfortable with is like the #1 rule of bdsm.

I was once in Apricot's/Froot's stream the day after watching her lore video again for the umpteenth time (its such a cute lore video), and I asked her if Melody invited Froot to VShojo IRL. She replied, "Yep, Melody invited me. Melody invites everybody." That tells me Melody is really good at recognizing talent when she sees it.

I remember back in the day before Vshojo was even online but Mel was everywhere. She was clipped to high heaven and you could piece together her talking portions of her streams right from her content. She also had quite a few MMD videos done at the time (they're still on her channel) - Silvervale was particularly big on those, and even Commander Zen got in on the act back in the day, back when Zen was mute. Mel also did a fair amount of collabs with people, like Nagzz who calls her his Oshii, and Noble who they seem to be pretty good friends.

Absolutely, she's really wholesome first and has always been that way. I first came away once her clippers started posting her clips back in 2020 and when she first did her own KZbin videos (she did A History of Hentai) - I find her to be an exceptionally knowledgable person. I know she is porn first but I could care less about that. For example her convo, with Michi about sexual topics got me more interested because seeing the difference between Michi's abysmal lack of knowledge and Mel's knowledge was not only astounding it was seeing Mel try and give Michi the correct info (Michi needs visuals because she has a lack of reality too). I prize knowledge above and over everything and I think THAT is what keeps the science team members. The porn attracts them but the one's that stay are for the adorable nerdy girl's big brain. I think if Mel really sat down she, with the help of her manager, could create these videos she was talking about, getting away from "doctor speak" and cover all the relevant and correct info in a fun and engaging way.

@@TheGunnyMac Exactly, I listened in on that convo in the middle of the night, and Michi is talking about her UTI. UTI's are actually pretty dangerous as it can cause mental problems. I suspect Michi has never been properly treated for her UTI ever, because she is an adult and unmarried, lots of her meds are probably there to handle the symptoms of her UTI, If she went to Japan and got proper treatment I bet a bunch of her problems would go away pretty quickly too

Lovely vid! People really need to learn more about where Vshojo came from and what it really is. So many people just expect the stiff corpo culture, some even get uppity when Vshojo doesn't do the things they never did. I'm exceedingly happy that Vshojo came into being. We need more healthy organizations that operate more along the lines of professional peers helping professional peers, working together to succeed together. And considering previous industry norms of idols and the sex workers, we very much need healthy and successful examples that others can follow. And the fact that it's incidentally helping contribute to social progress is just icing on the cake.

I have seen so much mis info regarding Vshojo. I think this is something they could do on their main channel and have as a play list. A history of Vshojo and what growing pains they've had good and bad, how they overcame the bad and how they celebrated the good. I know of a VTuber that could do this exceptionally well for them (Rima Evenstar is an excellent researcher and she does deep dives into all srts of stuff)

One thing I love about Vshojo is all of the non-Vtuber's y'all collab with. I probably wouldn't be following any of you guys if y'all didnt do streams with Chilled Chaos' group, Ray or Rubber Ross. Dude, right? I remember Mel being a big controversy back in like 2019 or 2020, and big KZbinrs like MoistCr1tikal backing her up, and she was also on one of his band's music videos. The following year, her Twitch clips started showing up in my recommended page, so I thought "Oh, I guess she does gaming streams, too", and after Ironmouse and Nyanners clips also started showing up, I caved and started watching VShojo and other VTubers and never looked back. It's nice to see their growth.

@@sandenson I didn't even know Twitch was a thing. She published her "Is Hentai Art" video and I was hooked, I was swamped with just her clips. She was also doing MMD's and game play on her channel. then I caught wind of Silver and Mousey through her vids and checked out their channels. the Zen came into the picture and Mouse, Silver and Mel did Lewdcast and we met Vei, Nyan, Connor, Takahata, who went VTuber and started showcasing a LOT of VTubers, some of whom have become quite popular today. Very exciting times. I do hope that the new Vshojo batch that do sign up is a decent size and really opens up the diversity, like I saw Mel's think that this was going to be a LewdTuber agency but it isn't, it's an agency where anyone can join and take advantage of their resources to grow one's brand and business however one sees fit.

It's legitimately my favorite thing how happy Mel is making lewdtuber content. It's so obvious how much she loves what she does, and it makes her such a joy to watch. Not only that but the incredibly kind, supportive and open-minded community she has developed it is astounding. I grew up with a lot of shame surrounding sexuality, and seeing something so intentionally positive and open in that area has helped me and I'm sure many other people. Regarding sex ed ... you absolutely cannot and should not assume teens know all this stuff. That sentiment drives me crazy. I didn't learn what the word "masturbation" meant until I had already been doing it for 6 years. Teens are extremely good at pretending they know things they don't. They won't admit what they don't know, especially when it comes to sex, so you gotta explain everything to them.
