I started making music last year and recently discovered your videos and they are very helpful. I was confident enough to upload my first track. Thank you so much! Subbed! 👌🙏

Hey Alice. Thanks for another great video. That was really helpful. I really love how your kick drum sounds. Really tight and punchy. Can you talk more about that or link a video of how you mixed it, if you already made one. I will try to look through your videos for the kick drum one. Thanks again!!!!

Still the best production channel on this platform. perfect tuition as usual Alice. (I would say that sometimes you don't want your drums perfectly glued but that's for another day)

There is one channel from which the rest people from youtube copy ;-) Nicholas Di Lorenzo, Alice certainly won't be mad about the name. Thanks for tips [missing EQ on reverb channel, reverb without EQ is game over]

Is the Venn Audio clipper your go-to clipper? What should someone look for when choosing one? Also, for clippers, saturators/distortion, compression, and limiting, is there a quick/easy way to accurately adjust the output level so your ears aren’t fooled by changes in amplitude when assessing the processing chain? I know some vsts have the option of linking input/output gain, but I’m wondering if you have any suggestions to make this aspect of mixing smoother/easier in general. Thanks so much, your content is wonderful. ❤
@samgruse38245 ай бұрын
K-Clip VST has a link between input and output to achieve this. You could also add a meter before and after your saturation to ensure you have the same volume before and after (using a utility to remove the volume after saturation). If you have the same volume after the effect, then you should just have the effect (increased harmonics) without increasing the actual volume.

Could it be, fast and slow attack are mixed up a few times at about 4min?

So you do plate on one channel and room on the other send and both are feeded by already distorted/compressed drums?
@Madkay7 ай бұрын
yes, otherwise you will distort with reverb ON and will be mess. If you want be creative in this way, create new channel - put reverb - then distortion/compresion and blend for taste.

i hear one time "compressed sounds work well with other compress sound", thats sauce.
@disjean477 ай бұрын
3:42 btw, what you think about clipping and add transient shaper for get back transient instead of compression ?
@stefandoughty437 ай бұрын
@@disjean47 personally, i would put a transient shaper first. The purpose is to change the shape and feel of the drum sound. Clipping is about taming the nominal level and saturating it.
