The Nobel Prize for year 2024 is awarded to David Baker, Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper.
The video discusses what computational protein design is and why the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2024 has been awarded for this groundbreaking achievement.
The video mainly covers four key points:
What computational protein design is.
The scientific principles it’s based upon.
The individual contributions of the Nobel Laureates in this field.
The significance of this discovery and its future implications for science and medicine.
We’ll explore the topic from a simplified perspective, making it easy to understand the process and importance of computational protein design, and how it’s revolutionizing the world of biochemistry.

Thank you so much for the explanation. Was the 90% Accuracy determined by NMR?
@AllBoutChemistry
@AllBoutChemistry Сағат бұрын
Depending upon the amount of time and resources utilized in NMR one can achieve very high level of accuracy Now the structure accuracy in percentage is difficult to state as these are experimental methods and unlike computational methods, it's difficult to get a reference structure to compare with.

Does Hassabis really participate in Alphafold research himself or he is the boss who funded the project?
