I'm overwhelmed by too much stuff. We become attached to stuff #1 we don't want to be wasteful and of course the memories and # 3 we fear we can never replace it when we need it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts so openly. It takes courage to recognize the connection between our surroundings and how we feel inside-it’s not easy, and you’re not alone in feeling this way. Decluttering can feel overwhelming when it’s tied to deeper emotions or patterns, but it doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. Here are a few thoughts that might help: Start Small and Be Kind to Yourself: Instead of tackling everything at once, focus on just one tiny area-a single drawer or a corner of a room. Celebrate even the smallest progress, because every step forward matters. Shift the Focus to Self-Care: Think of decluttering not as a chore but as an act of care for yourself. By creating a calmer space, you’re giving yourself more room to breathe and feel at ease. Embrace Imperfection: It’s okay if things feel temporary at first. Decluttering is a journey, not a one-time fix. The fact that you’re trying shows incredible resilience-give yourself credit for that effort. Create Systems That Work for You: If you feel drawn back to what’s familiar, try creating simple habits or routines that help keep order in a way that feels natural for you. For example, “put it away, not down” can make a big difference over time. Seek Support if You Need It: Sometimes, having a friend, family member, or even a professional organizer to help can make the process less daunting. You don’t have to do it all alone. Remember, your worth isn’t tied to the state of your home. Progress might feel slow, but every small step forward brings you closer to the peace you deserve. Sending you encouragement-you’re stronger than you think. 💛
