As myself living in Punjab, common people don’t even know that our state is in such a grave situation. To be very honest as other people said, living here isn’t difficult ig that’s why people don’t care enough about these matters. And also Our government doesn’t bother to tell its people the truth. The government should really really become strict and stop giving freebies at once, be it is provided to the people living in the state or the other states. It should stop and they should work to get out of this debt hole. Thank you for this wonderful video.

Excellent report! I was born in a Punjab village, lived and studied there till high school in 60's. Village school was pretty bad, lacking teachers, and those teachers were there not to teach but to collect the salary. After high school, my parents took me to Chennai and only then I realized how much harm the Government schools in the rural villages were doing to the students. I spent a year going to tutoring institutes to catch up. Luckily, I was was able to get into government engineering college in Chennai and that changed my life and even migrated to US 40 years ago. During my last visit to my village school in 2017, I was shocked to find my high school had only one functioning classroom, one small office room, two teachers, and no lab. All other classrooms were decrypt, leaking, and non-functional. Even these 2 rooms were functional with the financial help by a native son who now lives in Canada. If my school is a sad model of how the state governments have degraded education all across the rural villages, it is complete destruction of future for the rural youth. It is not just a loss for the community, or the Punjab state, it is loss for the nation! Imagine for a moment if the government had educated their rural youth, how much wealth these educated would have created that would have raised the state revenue.

I think if a state has a rich history why not promoting it's tourism sector and make Rajasthan a national epitome for tourism for all the world and especially for west. And For manufacturing sector it's not a one day show to begin it requires decades of planning both state and central coordination.

@@faltuadmi4260 well most people in IT sector get good salaries compared to other fields. So they also spend a lot, in food, clothes, maids, cars, tourism, home services that creates a huge market for the people of the IT city to grow and increase revenue and lots of jobs. Once an IT city is generated the state government also gets a lots of tax too when the IT people spend money. Then other developments happens or follows.

Could you please create a video about Delhi? It's disheartening that despite the significant direct and indirect taxes residents pay, the city struggles with a fundamental issue: poor road infrastructure. While central Delhi and affluent neighborhoods may seem to have improved, the majority of Delhi's population lives in areas with subpar roads. I reside in Sector 22, Rohini, and the journey to the nearest mall takes me through Begumpur, Sector 23, 24, 25, and Rithala. Unfortunately, you can hardly find a 1km stretch on this route without encountering potholes. North West Delhi is in pathetic conditions and the govt is completely ignorant about it. I have written to the departments and the email is forwarded to some IAS but after that no action is not taken.

From Punjab, The reason people of Punjab aren’t speaking about it is because it is not affecting them individually at present. They are only thinking about living comfortably in present without worrying about the future. The ground water level is going low day by day but still large majority of farmers are growing wheat and rice repeatedly for decades. The situation of infrastructure is rightly said. Although roads and such are in average condition, the real issue is there’s lack of factories. Solid and strict actions should be taken to increase the crop variety. And honestly, most people here have enough income to pay for electricity, but still want freebies. Hope the situation changes in incoming years! WMK

In my opinion subsidies should only be given to the needy not to all. Most of the people in Punjab are rich enough to afford these basic amenities. Govt can utilise these money on making govt hospitals and schools better. Govt hospitals are very crowded often.

Even if it is to nearby countries like Singapore, Vietnam or Sri Lanka that can work. All we got, Dubai [UAE], Sharjah [UAE] and one in Thailand. Same problem with all the states in India. Their expenditure is far more than their income. The majority of expenditure is towards payment of interest and loans from previous year and in salaries and wages of government employees. Major income is from the debt loan and devolution of central taxes. The cause is simply all political parties are vying for the power by giving everything for free. Free power, free laptops, free bicycles all freebies. Some governments provide free job, free higher education in private college, free houses, free furniture. Everything free. This is the consequences of freebies in background . Instead of investing in long term goals that will sustain a state in long run ,they are investing in short term goals to satisfy people for one time .
