Why Purin likes Batou so much. Purin Cries --- Ghost in the Shell SAC 2045 Season 2

Ghost in the Shell SAC 2045 is completely underrated show, and plagued by "CG" haters that ignore how good the show is so, I'm posting this clip to show that it's not true. Yes the CG can be a bit jarring to look at at first, but it is GOOD CG and good animation with said CG...the backgrounds are also beyond beautiful... we should be praising things like this, because this is what good CG should be like....end rant.

I wish they could have saved Purin's ghost at least. If not, make the new Purin aware from the get go that she does not have a soul, so then she could be like... the successor of Purin's will.

She does aware from the get go that she doesnt have soul or in this case a ghost, when she trying to access her memory of why she suddenly awake in prostethic facility she found out that she no longer have a ghost and after hacking the section 9 databse she found that she's already dead and is just a clone

Souls and ghosts aren’t the same thing in GitS. It can be argued her soul came back to her new body as on multiple occasions she has reactions she can’t understand (like vetting) why since she doesn’t have a ghost.

That's one of my biggest issues that the Purin without a ghost acts exactly the same as a purin with a ghost. Like aren't ghosts supposed to be what differentiates cyberized humans from robots and here we have basically a robot with human memories acting exactly like a person like the ghost was never important. They also basically recon Batou's and the Major's personal moral opposition and disgust to ghost dubbing established in the Innocence movie and the earlier seasons. This thing is a shit show.

GITS has always been about the battle between the cybernetic and "soul," or ghost. However what the show considers the ghost and what any tradition considers the soul is very different. In the GITS universe, what we see as the enigmatic "ghost" is more the measurable material affect of the Soul, not the Soul itself. 2045 embraces the transcendent nature of the Soul implicitly by dropping the notion that it is something graspable or effable. Purin can lack the mathematical element of the "ghostline" and still operate by a Soul, because what defines the Soul as we are truly able to comprehend is it's embodied interactions in the real world. Her life post-resurrection and continued love for Section 9 is her ghostline. 2045 quietly does away with ghostlines the same way the whole Saiyan and Namek sagas were supposed to train us as audience to distrust the powerlevel system in DBZ. Its all fake numbers for something that can't truly be digitized.

I think it shows how brutal the setting can be, as realistically as her non serious attitude would cause in such situations. It was bound to happen as she was too deep in a false sense of security, taking on risks the others could've helped her with alone was a core character trait of hers and it ended horribly as you'd expect in a militant setting.

For the majority of the show I would've been in agreement with you but those last 3 episodes did A LOT for the show imo, it didn't necessarily fix every issue but it did make a lot of initially weird decisions make much more sense.

My dude you do understand the major isn't the most important character in any of the GITS stories right? Just a very fucked up and most often in danger one? She's not the most powerful cyborg, nor are their team the only ones carrying out operations like this. But Purins backstory kinda explains all of this- she's a fan of him cause he helped her after a horrifying traumatic experience, she's competent as a hacker/programmer cause it's a relatively common skill in their time that she was personally attached to, she dies cause of the core character trait of her false sense of security as she's never worked in a militant setting before. Really the only confusing part is why tf they let her actually go with them for anything if her only advantages are with the tachikomas.

But even then, she's never the same as the major- just an expert in a different way. She actually ends up being a sort of haunted character cause of her mistakes. I think a lot more time should've been spent on addressing her willingness to side with an ideology of hiding from painful things instead of fixing them given how important a theme that should've been in her life.

The ending was great. It is like any other typical sac ending. Very confusing at first…but think on it a lot deeper and the ending makes sense…and philosophically it’s as deep as the 1995 movie. Was thinking of doing a philosophy video explaining the ending, but eh…that requires a lot of work I don’t want to do and I’m a bit busy with my own stuff.

@@robertkemp5362 You should go to the reddit page, and check up on some of the ending explained threads there, and you'll get a better understanding of the ending, and why the events leading up to it makes sense. If you don't like the ending...okay fine. But i don't see how you can't like this ending if you liked the ending of 1995 or the other SAC shows. They all end like this, in this manner.

I know what happened: Takashi put made everyone either believe the nukes were fired or avoided depending on the person and put everyone on earth into double think inside stasis pods. The Major had the choice to pull the plug on Takashi but didn't because the world they were in was without and she didn't want to go back to a world filled with war obviously. Since when has any GITS anime or movie ended like that?

Incredible Episode, otherwise godawful show. Its not just the CG but the overall story is pretty dogshit. I come to GITS to be Challenged and Blown away, not left annoyed that I was guessing plot points episodes in advance and characters not at all behaving like themselves.

SAC end in Solid State Society for me, that was *chef kiss*. I prefer Arise, SAC_2045 is a very mid season and finale for one of the most important anime of the 2000s, a shame because i was hyped for a sequel.
