I've seen plenty of mature students doing well in radiography because of their maturity! I can't imagine how you can juggle placements and university work with 2 kids! All the best!

I am in the US I will be hopefully going into radiology in August!!!! Kinda scared but hey Your videos Definitely helped me for sure your knowledge numbers and everything in-between has helped me out

Definitely feeling that the jobs are slowly coming back. In my 4th year (currently on week 13 of 38 week placement) through CSU and hoping to get a job in regional Vic when I graduate at the end of the year!

@@Syria.. sure have! There are SO many jobs available at the moment, but definitely an increased amount of interest in the course. It will definitely help if you are open to moving if another job shortage comes along :)

Congratulations on your second child. (Keep em' coming ??? :) ) I think what you are talking about might be more true in metropolitan areas, especially in Sydney and Melbourne. Here in South Australia (where there is only one radiography programme), I think it's still true that everyone gets a job during or soon after their degree. If you are willing to move rurally, it's supposedly very easy to get a job. I've got a classmate who got a job last year (during our 3rd year) because she is from a regional area and the employer likes her.

that's great to hear! its true that it's more competitive here in Melbourne and Sydney, especially most of us prefer to work in metro! i know some people who spend the start of their careers in rural and then find jobs in metro once they have more experience. all the best to your final year! may i know is your final internship or placement paid or unpaid?

@@SallyOverShare Mine is a 4-year degree, so not only is the final year unpaid, I have to pay tuition. Being an international student that's a lot of money. Also, I want to say that your channel has a surprising reach. I've got your videos recommended to me by one of my tutors, who is also from Hong Kong.

I feel that dissatisfaction as well, it's disappointing when they replaced paid internship with 'placement' several years ago. It is also difficult for some students to financially support themselves if they need to relocate fre the placements. I'm glad to hear that my videos are recommended by your HK tutor! They must be somewhat helpful!

Will do! It takes a lot of social skill: being able to read the room, doing small talk, and not being annoying by asking too many questions. Relax and take it easy, you cannot be close to everyone and befriend with everyone right away. And most of the time we don't remember the students after they are gone (we see too many in a year), unless they are terrible at their jobs. So if you make a small mistake, let it go knowing that no one will remember it next week! Smile, always willing to lend an extra hand, willing to do the dirty work or boring job that no one else is interested in. All the best!

do I need to take an online exam in Australia before I can practice? or I just need to register like in UK? well in UK(United kingdom) you just have to register. and you can practice right away.
