Main reason of overcrowding in sleeper is people travelling without ticket,unconfirmed waiting ticket and general class ticket holder illegally travelling in sleeper class.

I also experienced the same problem while traveling by Hirakhand express a few days back. The sleeper coaches seemed to be equivalent to general or un-reserved class.

​@@livingroomtheatre174Railway department should run sleeper train separately. If railway wants to provide facility to AC passengers then it must provide facility. Sleeper coach has reduced from 10_11 to 5_6. If the remaining sleeper coaches are left, they should be removed and AC coaches should be installed. In its place, sleeper trains should be run separately. Railways should run ac and sleeper trains in equal quantity. Because all classes of people live in the country. And all have the right to travel smoothly and comfortably in railways.

@@rahulgupta-ei4mp Railway has it's own reasons (or you can say excuses). But that doesn't mean customer (passengers) should suffer. Right? If someone is paying so much for AC class and booking confirmed seats in advance they should not suffer due to waiting list passengers simple

@@livingroomtheatre174 When did I say that air-conditioned passengers should not get facilities? They should definitely get facilities. But it is wrong to reduce the number of sleeper coaches and give all facilities to the upper class. The government should definitely provide facilities to air-conditioned passengers. Separate air-conditioned trains should be run for them. But at the same time, trains with sleeper coaches and general coaches should be run separately. If a rich person's ticket is not confirmed, he has many options. He can travel by his personal vehicle or by plane. But a lower middle class person has no option other than trains. Because just as the upper class contributes to the economy and development of the country by paying income tax, similarly the lower class contributes significantly to the GDP by its labor and hard work. That is why they should also get good facilities. Congress may have been very bad. But Congress used to start trains for all classes.

Poorva Express is the prime example of such trains... It departs from Howrah around 6 am.... Enters Bihar around 11 am and there the problem starts there even in 3rd AC you feel like sleeper... Whole state of Bihar And UP condition of Poorva express is like that

Mai v separate AC or non-AC trains chalane k baare me soch rha tha. Glad that you resonated the same thing. AC train full speed or comfort se travel karegi or baaki bachi non AC train sabko leke chali jaygi. Iske saath saath railway 24 coaches ko 26 coaches mei convert karti hai to passenger capacity v badh jaygi. 26 coaches- all either AC or non-AC, sabhi khush railway v khush

Indian railway is already heavily subsidized(53% on an average). What do you want it to wind down/scale down operation on the back mountain of losses? The solution given in this video is a good idea to separate AC trains from Non-AC trains. There should be complete AC trains and Non AC trains should be complied of Sleeper and general class. Government should fund these trains(non ac) even if they are making losses due to social obligations.

UPA government introduced trains like Jansadharan, Garib rath and Duranto for common people. NDA government introduced Hamsafar and Vande Bharat only for rich people.

lol. You are another angootha chhap. Garib Rath is not at all a good train. Firstly it is ICF coach and secondly it has a poor concept of side middle berth. It is a worst train in today's world. Rather AC economy coaches should be brought in such as Humsafar. With low 3AC fare. And you spoke about Duronto express, it was too much costly train when it was launched with no stoppages. Learn the facts before you comment directly

@@shikharsingh9950 Bro Gareeb Rath is a history now. Trust me side middle birth was a nightmare. And ICF coaches are not at all safe. Future is LHB coach and 3AC economy. What had happened in 2005 cannot be continued in 2023 hope we understand this

Same with Pune Bhusaval which is my fav train for Lonavla/Mumbai. It is almost a unreserved express with only 1 ac coach and 13 non ac coaches

With DFCs coming in, traffic pressure on regular lines will reduce. That will be the perfect time to introduce parallal trains - example Poorva AC and Poorva General/Sleeper. That will be the best solution as of now. With fencing job almost done, we can expect the full AC ones to go at 160, and sleeper ones at 130.

I think there is one more reason due climate conditions, railway will eliminate non AC couches in future, introduced AC chair car AC sleeper instead of General and sleeper, and reduce ticket prices for this service so General people can obtain this couches, But sadly railway still building non AC couches so by default we have to use those new non AC couches for another 3 decades which is terrifying railway should consider long term goal for it and introduced 2 new genral ac categories for low income people like i mentioned above.

Why should we incentivize this? If you want good and fast service, you should pay accordingly. Otherwise, you can always use ramshackle buses if you just want to ' save money '.

Samething happened with me and our family in this April in Karnataka express. Sleeper was full of waiting list becoz of 6 Ac coaches and 7 sleeper coaches. All general public was in our coach S7

1:29 I disagree. Like Earlier long Distance Mein AC travel was common. But recently Airways ka Kharcha Tumhara 2AC k nearly equivalent ho gaya hain. Toh People Generally shift to Airways and last mile k liye Railways this is Specially true for Middle Class. India Mein Dheere dheere middle Class Badh rahe hain Ekdum 200 km ka distance agar na Ho people try to get AC Otherwise General Non AC Compartment

आपका सुझाव अच्छा लगा उसके लिए मैं आपको धन्यवाद देता हुँ। लेकिन मैं कुछ औऱ जोड़ना चाहता हुँ। रेलवे को लॉन्ग रूट पर कुछ ऐसे ट्रेन चलाये जिसमे आधे ट्रेन स्लीपर क्लास के हों औऱ general क्लास के हों। दूसरा खासकर जो ट्रेन बिहार UP से जो ट्रेन गुजरती हैँ या terminate होती हैँ चाहे पुरे देश मेँ कहीं से भी आए उस रूट पर 1 सिर्फ जनरल केटेगरी औऱ 1 स्लीपर केटेगरी ट्रेन हर रूट पर चलना चाहिए ताकि साधारण लोग भी ट्रेन से यात्रा कर सकें। आखरी सुझाव लॉन्ग डिस्टेंस पैसेंजर ट्रेन भी चलने चाहिए जैसे टाटा नागपुर पैसेंजर। रेलवे के मकसद सिर्फ मुनाफा कामना नहीं हैँ बाकी साधारण लोगों को यात्रा करवाना एक सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी हैँ। धन्यवाद ❤

Jyada AC coaches lagane ke piche sirf ek hi kaaran hai. Revenue badhana. Kyoki AC coaches me although AC aur blanket ke kaaran cost jyada hota hai, lekin fir bhi inke hogh charges ke kaaran railway ki jyada kamai hoti hai. Aur ab indian railway piblic ke comfort/affordability ko secondary rakhke apni profitability ko primary rakh rahi hai.. Yahi kaaran hai ki garib rath exp ko almost kai jagah se band kiya ja chuka hai.

For me Vande Bharat rakes should be replacement for Rajdhani, Sharabdi, Gatiman's current coaches only. Too many Vande Bharat trains will eventually clog the route, but not carry enough passengers. Instead we need normal trains with enhanced non AC capacity

शुभम, आपके सुझाये गये समाधान का मैं हृदय से समर्थन करता हूँ. रेलवे को देश की आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर आबादी की बड़ी संख्या को यात्रा से वञ्चित करने का कोई हक नहीं है. हमें सिर्फ तेज गति से चलनेवाली ट्रेनों की ही जरूरत नहीं है बल्कि इससे ज्यादा कुछ कम गति वाली और समय से चलनेवाली और साफ-सुथरा सामान्य बोगियों वाली ट्रेनों की भी जरूरत है

Antyodaya Express me seating ka byabastha tha. Sleeping long distance ke liye zaruri hote hai. Isliye Antyodaya long route pe aur nahi laye. Aapka full sleeper aur full Ac wala idea bilkul sahi hai....full AC me AC 3, AC 2 aur AC 1 hona hi hona chahiye.

This is a good initiative by the railways. All coaches should be AC and railway should try to reduce cost of tickets as if all coaches will be AC then it will give more revenue to railways so slightly reduction should be done in prices of tickets. And if still poor people can't afford it then it's not railways fault, railway isn't your dad's property, look for an alternative. All the illiterate fools who over crowd any trains should be arrested on the spot and fined a handsome amount of money. If u can't afford AC coach then it's your fault, travel in roadways buses. We won't ruin aur aesthetics to for some poor people.

सबसे पहले तो यही करना चाहिए जनरल टिकट वाले यात्रियों को सबसे पहले रिजर्वेशन कोच से निकालना चाहिए, नॉन एसी रिजर्वेशन कोच में लोकल टिकट वालों के ऊपर पूरी पाबंदी लगानी चाहिए, इन लोगों के लिए सरकार अलग से ट्रेन चलाएं , आजकल तो यह लोग कभी-कभी ऐसी थ्री टायर में भी चढ़ जाते हैं,

बिल्कुल सही कहा आपने सही जानकारी दी है। सिलिपर कोच में तो कन्फर्म रेल टिकट होते हुए भी बच्चों के साथ चढ़ भी नहीं सकते हैं लोकल सवारी गेट । दरवाजे पर खड़ी रहती है। इतना भी रास्ता नहीं छोड़ते की आप अंदर पहूंच सकें। आप आवाज उठायेंगे क्या।

Issue of mismanagement at ac coaching happens in bihar route of entire india... For well known reasons. ..where fertility rate is still 3 means each women gives 3 kids.... So socialism approach is only for that section on india.. Rest of entirely hindustan is now development oriented

Yes... the problem of unreserved ppl taking all the spaces of sleeper is pathetic. They sleep on the passage, some men sleeping on the floor between sleepers....Really uncomfortable experience.

I believe short duration night trains should be of MEMU categories where they can accommodate everyone...... दिल्ली Saharanpur MEMU express like setup can be a trendsetter. For example -- in Delhi Howrah Sector, instead of so trains having equal no of sleeper coaches, one can expect dedicated sleeper coach trains and rest AC trains....... this can reduce a lot of congestion. In Delhi Chennai sector where they hv many trains, one can enroll AC express trains for thrice weekly basis and rest sleeper trains on daily basis so as to eliminate crowd and WL issues -- 💯 agree with what brother said

Shubham bhai abhi main 14 may ko 12368 vikram shila se anvt to Ara aaya S8 me 53,54,56 mera seat tha but sleeper me railway ne waiting ticket 480 tak de rakha tha hum aapni hi seat pr baith nahi paye because bheed had se jayada ho gya tha jab 139 pr call kiya to bole ki kanpur me problem slove kar denge but koi bhi railway staff nahi aaya bheed ko dekh kar jab ki railmadad se msg bhi aaya tha jab dobaara call kiya to bole ki hum kuchh nahi kar sakte jab railway kuchh nahi kar sakati to waiting allow kyon kar rahi hai , waiting aur general ka ticket hi band kar de kam se kam confirm ticket wale jaanwaron jaise to journey to nahi karenge ek to 4,5, month pahle ticket lo fir bhed bakari jaise bhar kar journey karo washroom na jana pade isliye public bhukhe payase safar karate h buri halat to bachhon ki ho jati hai jinko washroom tak nahi le ja pate congress k time kabhi problem nahi hoti thi but BJP government ne sleeper coach kam kar k public ko jaanwaron jaise haal kar diya hai month ka 10000 , 12000 kamane wala kaha se ac ko afford kar payega modi k muh pr ab thukane ka man karta hai

all coach should be AC and should provide 6-7 sleeper so that all general, waiting and other passenger could travel. AC would give better quality journey, less loss for railway and more seat for general passenger. we all know the condition of general and sleeper these days

Very well explained... but there could be another problem that people may board antyodaya express without any tickets as ticket checking in such trains may not be possible because of extreme crowds.... so most of the people will opt for such options and this could be a loss to Railways.

Its a good initiative. 3AC Economy coaches production shall be increased. Solution might be bit complex but we need more RRTS corridors to divert the passengers travelling in short distance.

Antyodya express ko band karne ka main kaaran hai ki mostly inn trains me log tickets hi nai lete hai WT jaate hai... Aap aaj bhi kisi normal train k general class me travel karo to usme jo log kam distance travel karte hai vo log 100℅ WT hi jaate hai....

I don't mind railway increasing ac coaches in trains, as long as they bring back, student, senior citizen, defense and other concessions & increase general coaches per train, to cater bottom of the pyramid.

I will give u an perfect example Train number 17322/17321 use to have only 3ac coach's, now this train have only 3 sleeper coaches 🤔 i think the demand is high because it runs 50hr

Economy AC coaches sleeper se bi jada log lete hai. Sleeper 82 log lete hai and Economy AC coaches 93 logo ko lete hai. And AC general ke baare mai bi sooch na padega

Almost 2000 seats reduced from Hyderabad to Mumbai - Sleeper coaches across all trains running on this route. Its a short route of 12-15 hours. Except for Duronto which is a bi-weekly train, no seats are available. For Duronto also, only some tickets are available at the last moment. How can somebody plan their travel. Even when the speeds are not increasing, how is reducing number of sleeper or general coaches going to help. Railways need to increase sleeper coaches so that people can travel. Flights are anyways super expensive....

Solution 1-Regular checking of TTEs with police to catch general ticket holders in sleeper coach in every 3 or 4 hours. 2-All trains should divert their route to exclude Bihar.I have seen the Biharis illegally occupy sleeper class seats. 3-We have to search answer why in UP,Bihar and Jharkhand the trains are over crowded even if most of the trains are running through these route . 😊😊

Railways should make all their trains fully AC coaches and reduce the waiting list drastically. Also it can run full Sleeper class and general class trains separately.

It's only UP and Bihar. Trains that go from Bengal to South, West, Central, North East don't have this problem. Bengal only gets involved as the trains from north india to bengal have to pass through UP and Bihar. I travelled a lot in Poorva and the condition is pretty good from Howrah to Asansol but as soon as it enters Jharkhand/Bihar it gets overcrowded as hell even in 3rd AC and it remains this way till Aligarh. I think the reason for this is (as pointed out by many commentors) the inflated fertility rate of UP and BIhar/Jharkhand.
