No, the cruelest people have not only been the ones talking about God. 'Every group of people or individuals who have been or who are the cruelest of people are still people who don't even believe there is a God. You can't blame religious people for cruelty when it comes from ALL kinds of people no matter what.

No, what they have in common is the story in the Garden of Eden of Adam and Eve. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all acknowledge this and the old testament to be true. That is all the same. Maybe that is what is flawed or made up to begin with.
