The plateau is real 😂. We definitely go through periods of burn out with making the same videos over and over and it often does feel like “work”. We try to keep changing things up and adding in new storylines like our flip house to keep the viewers interested (and allow ourselves something new to work on). Overall we love what we do and the “bad” days are SO much better than the “good” days working for someone else 🥰

I’m not, nor do I want to be…a reseller. I’ve been enjoying your videos for years. It comes down to you guys being genuine, honest and consistent. I’ve got 3 adult kids, and there are always, always disappointments. You’re sharing your life with us. That’s what I relate to. It’s so tempting to compare ourselves and our problems to others. But, hey, our problems are what we have and they are real to us. Being unapologetically genuine and truthful is how I see you guys. You’re going to be a success at whatever you do. You work hard, it shows. We love being kind to others. We always need to be kind to ourselves. My mom/grandma opinion. It’s worth what you paid for it…zero 😂 You got this.

Brotha, your wife is healthy you’re a beast mesomorph and you guys are doing very well in a time where many people are struggling. My advice would be to give a timeline on how much longer you are willing to wait on your barn house and if it is not met cash out on your current property and buy a house with a shop on the property of your dreams. Either way you slice it you are going to be paying a bank loan so you might as well get something that is already closer to what you want.

I hate that you have to justify being able to complain about the stress in your life. Your problems are your problems no matter what anybody else’s problems are. I think you and Allie are doing a great job at what you intended your KZbin channel to be. I hope things start turning around for you and getting a little less stressful. And I look forward to every time I see one of your videos pop up!😊

Hi, my opinion only. Sell the barn and the lot and keep the home you have now. Go travel while your bodies are still young. Make videos of vintage markets around the world like Italy or Thailand and your travels. Too much money and time invested in such a large “property” for what? You could sell on eBay from anywhere in the world. You are a business man and you could do anything you set your mind to do. My husband says, timing ! Do something new! What is your gut feeling telling you and Alli? ☮️ Yvette

Please never quit car chronicles. It’s honestly nice to have the personal side to y’all’s channel that helps us resellers relate. Just prayed for God to calm y’all’s minds during that unknown of the build. One verse I really rest on in life is Phillipians 4:6-7. When I was suddenly let go from my first post-grad position after 6 years, it’s like God supernaturally blocked my mind on what I was going through and provided peace which matches these verses. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Would love to meet up if y’all are ever in Tallahassee.

Ryan, first sorry for the long comment. However, we found ourselves in such a situation a few years back. I think your video when you bought your ranch may have inspired us. We liquidated in Ohio in search of a new location we looked at property in several states including Florida. We love reselling so didnt want to leave country. We looked in states that were favorable to what we wanted. We settled on 20 acres in the Ozarks in Missouri. Main reason most counties its do what you want. Where we live permits are not needed for most anyrhing. If we build something and it collapses on us, our fault. Relieved a lot of stress and worry in our lives. I guess just wanted to tell ya all, keep your heads up high. Things always have a funny way of working out. Much love to the 2 of you.

I love your and Allie’s videos! Y’all are the cutest couple! Troubles can happen to anyone, no matter your financial circumstances in life. I was a Cardiopulmonary Therapy director at a rehabilitation hospital, whereby I cared for quadriplegics who had tracheostomies and used ventilators to breathe for them, and my husband was a school teacher, and we were newlyweds. Then, my paramedic brother fell at his home in the next state away, but he happened to have passed out, fell forward in his pantry, and his head hit all of the shelves on the way down to the floor, and he broke his neck in 5 places and became a quadriplegic. I provided care for him for ten years, while my husband returned to college in his 40’s, got a second bachelors degree in accounting, and then got his MBA. He was working for the largest offshore oil companies as an accountant, while I began having severe spine pain myself. I ended up having to have surgery on 6 places in my spine, because my discs were blown out, and after my first surgery, I wasn’t allowed to lift more than 10 pounds. We were spending many thousands on his care, because I couldn’t do it any longer. After a very few months, we could not afford his caregivers, So, my brother moved back to his hometown to a nursing home, and just after that, Hurricane Ida and it’s spin-off tornado hit all of us on the Southeast coast of Louisiana (and we’re farther south than New Orleans) and we sustained $156K in damages, and we had 80% black mold in our home, but our supposedly great homeowners insurance offered us $29K-and that happened to everyone down here! And all of the homeowners insurance companies pulled out of south Louisiana, and with only 1 company writing new policies, the insurance costs went up 287%- no lie!! So, in February of this year (3 years later) we finally got our home repairs completed. Now, with 5 spinal fusions and a laminectomy, I’m disabled, and my husband has just been diagnosed with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes and fatty liver and pancreas disease. He now works when he’s able on his eBay store, but I feel horrible, because he’s been complaining of severe exhaustion for 3 years, to the point where he has to lie down after working. He really enjoys eBay work, because of the flexibility of his schedule, because we, especially my husband, serve in the ministry at our church, as he teaches adults’ Sunday school, and I teach the pre-K through second graders in Sunday school, and my husband occasionally preaches at our church, and we love it there so much. We are praying for y’all, because I know troubles can happen to anyone. I am absolutely heartbroken, because my brother had to have his leg amputated this week, and if his decubitus wound (aka bed sore) does not improve, then he will lose his other leg at the hip, and I’m completely outraged and gut-wrenched that so much has happened to him since he’s been gone in just 3 years. We are going through a great deal since we were homeless and grief stricken, but that’s nothing compared to my poor brother! He’s had a hemorrhagic stroke, a heart attack, had to get a pacemaker, had Covid multiple times, and chronic kidney infections, and bowel infections! I am beyond horrified that he’s gone through so much! If the wounds on his left leg become infected, like I said, he’ll have to have that leg amputated at the hip. Please pray for my brother, as we’re praying for y’all. I am beyond devastated at his suffering. We are going to visit him in 2 weeks, and I’m looking forward to seeing him, but simultaneously dreading having to see him in such of a condition that he is in, and yes, I blame myself, because I feel like I have failed him by my having a deteriorating spine. I’ve actually had so many fusions that I’m 2” shorter! But my brother had a good life with good health under my care, and then my spine pain got the best of me. My husband has begun to recover, but I’m praying for both of them. I just wanted to let you know that y’all are loved and appreciated for your videos! Allie is such a darling! God bless you, Ryan and Allie, and please continue your car chronicles! 🙏❤️🤗😊🎉

When you find yourself in a rut, seek new ways to break up the monotony. Do something different. So you can't leave the country, but can you take a day trip? Plan a weekend getaway? Visit a place nearby that y'all just haven't been to yet? Taking a step back from the projects can help you gain perspective when you have been pushing so hard for so long.

Good Morning Ryan , I think we all feel what your feeling at times and when things seem to keep road blocking with the domino effect . When my wife and i feel like the way your talking about we always find what is good and right in our lives and think how much worse it could be . You and Allison are gifted people i have said that before. I feel like maybe in your earlier videos you had that exciting with starting the you tube channel and traveling its exciting and would defiantly put you in a different state of mind. When we watch Allison's channel you can see her passion for creating items and taking something plain or boring and turning it into an exciting piece , I feel like that is also the case with the ranch , you both have these special skills that you can perceive an item of its value and also how to make it better. Every night before you go to bed you and Allison should have a talk about the day im sure you guys do that already . I think the car chronicles is a great idea because it makes you vulnerable and when you are that way for the moment you can really get alot off your chest and i feel other people can relate to what your talking about . I really feel like your an awesome guy and i know personally over the years watching your videos i take little pieces and apply them in my own life , i feel like the little steps in life are the most important ones . If you took all of it away tomorrow but you still had Allison you would be just fine or vice versa. You both are truly a team so you never have to go through anything alone . Ryan i feel like at the end of the day when you put your head on the pillow if you have your Health , Wife , Family , and Good Friends in your life you already won , Anything after that point is just a Bonus ! Keep up the hard work you both are very special people!

Stress is stress man no matter financial state or what causes one family stress vs another. I have stress for things in life that are completely different but doesn’t make my stress or your stress mean less. Keep your head up and find keep doing the things that help make you happy during these times and things will get better! I just started an eBay shop and I’m loving it but dealing with the stress of starting something while making sure day job and family are being taken care of first and I do the things to that make me happy to keep my head up and move forward with every adventure I embark on!

at about 22:00 even you say "do you ever get into a point in life where things don't exactly go as planned" (even though they should for the effort and the intelligence you have, added that myself). I am currently in nursing school I was supposed to graduate about a week and a half ago, 15 month program to become an RN. I was doing fine, hadn't failed a class yet. Term 5 comes around and it just starts falling apart. I ended up withdrawing from 2 of the classes and failing the end hesi which makes you pass the 3rd class. I don't make excuses if it's something I have done myself. The teaching was horrible, it's for-profit college (first mistake), I'm 30k in, and I have to pay probably another 7-8 to retake these 3 classes, I'm almost done................. I shouldn't have failed them the first time. The tests are not even the information taught, they don't teach us how to take them, how to think like a nurse there is little support. So I'm like ok, fine we gotta retake these last 3 classes, fine, let's take them one at a time. They will allow it. I have taken the summer off to screw my head back on, and go back and finish up in October. They also said if I take more than 1 term off, I have to RESTART THE PROGRAM. All of a sudden they are making rules that have never been spoken of. I was gonna play their game, even though REALLY they are at fault, my father and I studied our butts off, he's been studying with me all through this. IT was not lack of studying the material. I am now stuck. Do I give a crappy school another 8k? to MAYBE PASS? WE are looking into ADA about me having ADHD, and seeing where they failed and how we can make this easier, I have some time to do that. Sorry this was long, I needed to vent it, it's happening NOW. But yes sometimes we get to a point in life where things don't go as planned and you feel stuck and you don't know what to do. I am not young, but I am not old. I'm 39, 40 in December, this was going to be a new career for me so I could make enough money to live. No I would not move country.................. if it came to that .......... because of political crap in our country it would be Australia, but it would have to be a lot worse than it is now. Same thought process though..... maybe universe is telling me something too, that I am not to be a nurse........ not to give this crap school anymore money. I apologize I'm not in a super encouraging mood, but I sure won't down talk you and your videos. I love watching them, I havent watched a ton of them, but I'm watching them more and more. I mainly watch Kevin, Dave and Cary. I check you out inbetween. :) keep it up :)

I was going to make a completely different comment, but since you brought up the aforementioned.... I think it's perfectly normal to feel sad when things in life don't go well for so long. Sometimes it seems like life is a ride on a roller coaster. Leave it in the hands of God. This too shall pass. Thank you for your videos.

Hi Ryan, I feel your pain with the home stuff. I rehabbed several places, including my own. In my own home now...I bought this home with a bad well...Yep. And the country approved it! And do you know how hard it is to try to prove it was BAD when you bought it!? Even though I had a neighbor testify that the people who sold us the home had a garden hose borrowing water from the neighbors...it was like everyone knew but they LIKED them (or were afraid of them) and didn't know us (the new owners) so were afraid to speak up on our behalf. I still have a bad well...for decades. And I wanted a garage, but you speak of variances? I heard about them for many years from my ex husband, an architect when we were together so I just did't even try for the garage. I was working full-time and I felt I could not handle that headache. BUT I love the property...even with all its issues. Its peaceful and quiet and beautiful. So, I decided to put up with it...I buy fresh drinking water from the store, and I reuse my bathwater for flushing the toilet and I installed a 500 gallon vessel to hold the water from the bad well (it only produces water in winter. At times I run completely out and that really really sucks. And if I ever want to sell? I guess will have to find a cash buyer. But I believe that everything happens for a reason. None of us are so special we will never have problems. I find that belief has gotten me through a lot. I share with you now as maybe it will be something for you to think about too. For me, someday maybe I'll get my new well...and I'll be as happy as when I graduated college. Speaking of properties and loans, have you ever watched the movie "The Big Short"? Its a comedy thriller ...I was totally fascinated. Ok Thanks for sharing Ryan. Yes, life isn't always perfect no matter how hard you try to set things up to be that way...I know.

“eBay millennial millionaire” I think you should reread Anthonysolis comment . It’s probably the nicest I’ve ever heard someone say put your big girl panties on and bless your heart all in one. 😂 I’ve watched you guys for years and I’m thrilled with your successes. If you aren’t happy change it. You have the money apparently to live a life you’re happy with so do it. I’m definitely the suck it up person. Yes your stress is valid but it’s not gonna go over well with most who are struggling to just pay basic bills. You don’t need my prayer or sympathy. You need to stay on your grind and make your dreams reality. You did what took before you can do it again. ✌🏼

A piece of advice sometime gave me that I've always loved is "the only way out is through". When the barndominium is done you'll be able to look back on all that you persevered and feel proud. Re: vacations, if you're worried about planning too far ahead, there's always great deals on last minute vacations. Why not go now???

Ryan and Alli, just think on the wise words of my Grandma, which were This Too Shall Pass and It Will All Come Out In the Wash. I hope that helps. It certainly helps me when I am struggling with things.

I have no place to give advice, but you asked and I care. I am personally practicing taking time each day to be in the state of gratitude. Maybe this could help. You seem to be enjoying the rebuild but it's just not happening as smoothly or as quickly as you want. Maybe the trick is to give up the emotions tied to the few things bringing you down and enjoy the ride from the grand scale of it all. BTW I have done a lot of construction projects personally and in business. No one ever promised easy, it rarely ever is. But you end up learning a lot. 😂

Stress is stress no matter who you are or what your doing....no justification needed to express it. You have gone this far, if you can afford for a bit longer try to see it through... However if THE DREAM is dimming dont let it drain either one of you of JOY.

Hi Ryan, I'm so sorry to hear of the struggles you and Allison are faced with. I wish there were laws to protect people financially and mentally when faced with governmental bs, such as permits etc. And noone should ever have to deal with idiots trying to be contractors that have no business trying to be. Ironically, my son is a contractor that builds pole barns, and pole barn homes etc. So we understand, 1st hand, your frustrations. You 2 are so great and we love watching your videos. I think these talk videos are great because when you watch these videos, you feel like you know the people in them. It'd nice to be able to see both sides of the coin. Just think back and do some things that may be fun..go dumpster dive and see if you can find some treasures. Get a metal detector, go to the beach and treasure hunt. Do a staycation, go to Disney or even take a cruise on a glass bottom boat. The most important thing is that you and Alli have each other...there is nothing more great than the love you share with one another. We appreciate you guys and think you guys are wonderful and are doing great things. Keep up the good work. Spread cheer and love, as you do, all will come around back to you. Karma is Karma, good or bad...just remember that. Big hugs from us to you guys.

to address what you said about rage declining from my experience people who offer a ridiculous amount usually aren’t great customers anyway they will ask for partial refunds & or return the item to waste your time & money

As a former trader in the 30 year bond pit at the Chicago Board of Trade that turned into an eBay reseller there is a saying that carries over to resellers and social media influencers. Everyone thought trading was like printing money. Now everyone thinks influencers are having a grand old time posting a few videos that are easy and fun to create and then monetizing them and making easy millions. As is usually the case people don’t realize the hard work that goes into any success. Therefore, all come under the saying, “it’s the hardest way to make an easy living!” Or is it, “ the easiest way to make a hard living!” Lol

There will always be someone with problems worse than yours - but the reality is they are YOUR problems and are what YOU are dealing with and it’s healthy to feel and work thru negative emotions …..as long as you don’t stay in a negative place and impact the things that are within your control……when things don’t turn out the way we wanted them to or hoped that they would it is a loss so you go thru stages of grief ……feeling like your life is on hold, for whatever reason, is stressful…..hope you guys can make some progress or have a new plan that moves you forward 🙂

Maybe it's a sign that you have been blessed and put in a position to help others and not yourselves so much anymore. We get caught up in the rat race and the competition of money and stuff that we go completely blind to the reasons why we are all here to begin with. Everything happens for a reason and sometimes we have to take a step back and be appreciative and thankful for the signs being put in our faces. It's all a test brother. Stay strong and keep a good heart. Maybe it's time to direct the focus on something else. You will know better than anyone so tap into the worlds energy and listen to your gut feelings. I appreciate this video alot in this point of my life. Thanks for sharing 🙏

I feel like you need someone who is more knowledgeable about how to go about this and if it is possible. A real estate lawyer, a good real estate agent that can give you insight if the property or house can go up in value with what you are going to do and if you are overlooking anything else you may need for your business to grow in the area because the property is a double (residential and commercial). If you are getting permits you might as well get all the permits you need for now and the future.
