@@MrLopezclasses I want to buy a sail boat soon and it will probably be an old one. Perhaps with original electrical system. So I will need to be quite careful to look carefully and test everything. This video was helpful as I had no idea about why reverse polarity can be so critical on a boat.

When you say that ground and neutral should only be connected at the source, do you mean in the electricity plant?

I understand that if I connect a portable Honda generator to my boat shore power to charge the batteries when I am at anchor, the reverse polarity light will come on. Is this the same situation as you describe in this video?

Hi Marcos. Not necessarily. Reverse Polarity is a wrong connection at the input of the AC Panel. It is when Hot and Neutral wires are wrong
