Ricky Rubio is a streets won't forget player. Injuries and other issues probably didn't let him develop the career he could have had but he still had a great career nonetheles. Great player to watch

I feel like Spanish players are somehow too selfless. They create so much game, give so many passes so smartly, involving their teammates but they don't mind not being the ones to score or even get the assist. You see that on Rubio, you see that on Calderon, Marc Gasol, Pau Gasol and you can keep on going. They could put +20 points a match if they wanted to play that way. But that selflesness is also the key of their internation team. Second best team international country in history after USA by far.

2:51 maybe that guy is Raül Lopez, a former Utah Jazz player. He became his personal trainer. Raül could've been a monster if hadn't got injured in his knee. Besides that, played Euroligue and ACB at very top level.

It is really a shame that Ricky Rubio's game didnt translate to the NBA and it's rules. Of course I'm spanish and I'm biased but to me he's one of the best FIBA players I have seen. Everybody remembers Pau and Marc but Ricky's level of play in the NT the last few years is comparable.

On the 16-66 season he started and played over 70 games in, he had a positive plus minus. Playing 34mins a night for a 66 loss team and he walked away having won more than he lost on the court. He was a winner in a losing situation.
