@@rcbarnson6488 yup i was thinking wtf is draymond doing lmaoooooooo. TBH a rear naked choke takes a fraction of a second once you understand to squeeze your elbows together and how to put your arm around his neck. Hell I've even done it many times with one arm by grabbing the shoulder lol. It's just most guys don't know how to do it but it is very easy to learn. Once you understand it, you can pretty much choke out anyone who's never trained before. Actually that fight made me realize draymond has no fighting background. Paul George is just a racist mf similar to Stephen A Smith who is extremely racist. They literally made up a BS rule on the last minute to protect Draymond. You can look at any NBA fight and they all scuffle and grab anyone they can. In fact its more respectful to grab and pat your opponent on their back because it shows you're not taking the game personally but showing sportsmanship. Paul, Gilbert and Stephen A Smith made up a trash rule to save Draymond because Rudy is half White.

Look at the angle/area Draymond came from....from his viewpoint, he saw Rudy's arm wrapped around/over Klay's shoulder/lower neck area... It makes sense that he'd go in on Rudy in the same way. He did go too far, though... Once he'd pulled Rudy away from Klay, he should've dropped his hold.

They made that "cardinal rule" up on the spot. We've seen time and time again how players/coaches from the opposite team try and pacify the player from another team. Off the top of my head, Bron and CP, Simmons and Kat. It doesn't matter what team the other dude is playing for. If you're close to him, stop him. The cardinal rule is stop the players closest to you.

The whole grab your teammate not an opposing player narrative is getting so played out... I agree with the principle but you can watch any NBA scrum ever and people just grab whoever is closest to them every time, happens in literally every sport yet someone isn't getting yoked up for it all the time. I respect dray for standing up for his guy but it was a stupid how far he went with it, never liked the guy but with that said he's super entertaining and I guarantee his teammates love him. Guy is a great player just loses his cool so easily lol

Hearing PG explain that in a NBA scuffle, you are supposed to grab YOUR teammate, and not your opponent makes so much sense. I still don’t agree with what Draymond did, but at least that gave me a different perspective. This is why it’s important to have players speak, have their own platforms and use their voice in media. They can give insight that the other talking heads in sports media just can’t.

You’re at a decided disadvantage when someone 5 inches shorter than you somehow sneaks you into a chokehold from behind and then drags you away until others prompt him to eventually release you. Rudy should have poked Draymond in the eye. That would’ve been justified and later explained by him struggling to free himself.

But see… that’s the grey area… if you’re gonna say guys don’t really throw hands in those situations or pretty much in the league period, then we can’t give him the cop out of saying “Go grab your man” I felt like we all knew nobody was about to throw hands so that Draymond stuff was unnecessary because clearly Rudy was just tryna break it up. If Pat Bev on that team…by Draymond doing that he would’ve reacted then would’ve been a bigger situation it needed to be because of Draymond
