Did the lock break during your trip ? I have a Rinowa Hybrid and This is scary cause …… we can only rely on these 2 locks and if they open ……. It’s over ……. Can you help me understand that ? 😅

yeah one of the locks did but mainly because been traveling with a dented frame that causes more force to be applied to the locks = breakage

It’s a lifetime warranty… 2k may actually work out cheaper in the long run for early adopters and frequent travellers

I switched to Rimowa after my Samsonite that I owned for 4 years came back with ripped zippers, I got it new for like 200$ and it was supposed to have 5 years warranty. They flat out refused to repair it as they were sure it must have been excessive force during whatever and so it isn't covered. I paid them another 200$ to get it repaired, the bag was gone for nearly 3 months. If that keeps happening I will have a suitcase that isn't available 1month/year and coats me 100$ per year for maintenance - and even with this I am still stuck with not having a suitcase if something breaks for an extended time. With the Rimowa I can find some place that will fix it for free practically everywhere AND I always have my suitcase available...

Fixes are not for cosmetic purposes, only functional. Most.likely they aligned the both sides.
