Hi, as someone who started in a body shop in 1957 (worked on them new). This was in the day of torches/air chisels with a 1.00/hour helper, (Me). Shop made frame machine made from a grease rack. I once straitened a frame of 1939 Ford by tying it to a railroad track! No wire welders then. The first "BONDO" that I remember was "PERMEND" and was passed out free for a trial. Keep up the low buck work as it is a dying art.

I’m just starting a full restoration of a 57 210 that needs full floor pans and trunk pan as well as quarters. I’m also teaching myself to weld. I’ve restored several cars in my lifetime but I’m 63 and retired Air Force. Time may be limited lol. I enjoy your videos. We are not all Kindig restorers. Just hobby people.

Cleanest 57 Hard Top on KZbin is way less fun to drive to local shows, worrying about someone touching it or even staring into the shinny paint too long. This will be a fun driver and solid too, that's what we do this for.

This is a do anything car. Go to the store, go to car shows, take Dani out on a date, drive across country. Do fun stuff with your cars, keep building them YOUR way. They look awesome, they’re done right and you should be very proud of what you built. We need more DD Speed Shop and less fair ground posers! I can wait to hear this one roar to life. Dan

I like to think of it as the moment a car is saved from the scrap yard the gloves are off, you can do as you wish repairing it (within reason of course) any sort of repair is better than what the cars fate was about to be. There's always a special place for rat rods because they're still going down the road👌 A good drunken quote from one of my buddies "for every classic survivor that goes back on the road anonther 10 Nissans will die which makes the world a better place".

You will win rattiest but now because of you I’m going to be able to do way better on mine than I have been. I can go back and make some changes. Not just the tubs but trunk I want to change to a fuel cell and a flat floor. Glad you are going LS stay 6speed take it anywhere.
