For a relationship to work normally there needs to be physical attraction. And by the way, Sakura liked Sasuke for his looks and for his popularity at first. She got over that quickly in the story. She fell in love when she actually got to know him. He may not have loved her back like she wanted but he accepted her feelings without complaining, he cheered her up when she was down, he protected her, saved her life, listened to her worries and reassured her, he was willing to die for her and ultimately he implied if he did listen and stay with Sakura when she pleaded before he fled the village she would have made him happy every day like she said and he thanked her for being willing to do that. Sakura was indeed the only one who filled his lonely existence. They were both pretty close.

Because Tsnuade uses a good chunk of her power to stay young, she can't beat Sakura at full max. Alright, let me just make something clear. I don't hate Sakura, however; she's one of the worst written characters I have ever seen. This is why I think why Sakura's love for Sasuke is superficial, it is not genuine in any way shape or form, she only likes him for his looks. I have never seen any other reason than that, hell even Sasuke himself wondered why Sakura loved him and she couldn't even answer. This was one of her greatest flaws because her love for Sasuke always put herself and her comrades in danger. Especially during the Kage Summit Arc when she tries to fight Sasuke alone by tricking everyone else. I don't think poison will be enough to stop a guy who was aligned with one of the most dangerous criminal organizations in the world and who was labeled a massive threat because he was able to defeat Killer B the guy who carries the Gyuki aka Eight Tails. In the end Naruto and Kakashi need to save her again. Also against Madara when Kakashi just said they ended to use team work and she jumps right in where Naruto and Sasuke need to save her again and after that she could only wonder if Sasuke still cared about her. I don't do think Sakura is useless, however; she was useless during part 1. The only thing she could do for the majority of it was hold a kunai and stand there while Naruto and Sasuke have to fight the real threats. She does become more powerful, but that brings the next problem. Sakura did become stronger, but even then she still needs to be saved by either Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi or some other character. This is also something I have a problem with, Sakura just became a Tsunade clone at the end of the series. What does Sakura do which is different from Tsunade? Anything Sakura does Tsunade probably does better, at least Naruto and Sasuke have different style than Jiraiya and Orochimaru. Sakura may be strong physically however she is weak mentally and emotionally. Chapter 693 showed her at her absolute lowest when she got on her knees and was pathetically pleading to Sasuke if she means anything to him he should stop. Sadly for her Sasuke gave 0 fucks and Naruto was left with the job with fighting him. When Sakura ended up with Sasuke she lost all respect for herself in my eyes, you don't marry a guy and have a kid with him when he tried to kill you multiple times and treated you nothing more than trash and an afterthought. The only reason why that happened was because Kishi needed to cure the thirst of some fans while Sasuke needs to repopulate his clan some how. The only people I saw Sasuke actually care about was Itachi and Naruto he gave 0 fucks for everyone else. I repeat again I don't hate Sakura, however; she's one of the worst written characters I've ever seen and for you Sakura fans out there I mean no offense. At the end of the day it's Kishi's fault though Sakura had good moments, but he fucked them up.

If you thought the only people Sasuke cared about were Itachi and Naruto, then you don't know Sasuke's character. He 100% cared about Kakashi AND Sakura because Team 7 were like his second family, Sasuke even admitted that himself. As for Sakura personally, in Part 1 Sasuke saw her as someone he felt the need to protect and he was happy she had feelings for him and wanted to do so much for him (again, he admitted this). The reason he was so cruel to her in Part 2 is the same reason he was cruel to everyone, including Naruto, he was being blinded by anger and hatred. Remember, Sasuke didn't understand anything about the bonds he made (including the one with Naruto) until AFTER his fight with Naruto. As for you losing respect for Sakura for getting with him, then I guess you also have no respect for Naruto, or Kakashi, or anyone in Konoha who's on friendly terms with Sasuke (which is everyone). Also, you should be more pissed about the fact that Kabuto and Orochimaru get forgive instead of Sasuke, they did far worse shit and did less to make up for it. You're also wrong about Tsunade being "better than Sakura" seeing as Sakura surpassed her.

Sakura is so disappointing because she had so much potential to be one of my favorite characters. She started off as an annoying girl that only cared about getting in Sasuke's pants, then after repeated rejections, she started to work hard to be a better teammate to Sasuke and Naruto. Then her character development took a nose dive when she let Sasuke leave the village. She even went as far as asking to join him and become a traitor herself. After she was rejected again, she trained with Tsunade and actually got pretty strong and learned healing jutsu. She even took out an Akatsuki member in an epic fight. But then she took another nose dive when she failed to kill Sasuke when she had the chance (who at this point was trying to murder Kakashi and Naruto). See a recurring pattern here? Her love of Sasuke is a major flaw in her character. She doesn't care about her friends, her village, even herself, she only cares about being with Sasuke. Sakura should have had enough self-respect to stop throwing herself at a guy that hates her guts and focused on being a better konoichi. She should have learned that protecting the village is more important that her personal feelings. Maybe she should have joined ANBU as a tracker ninja to stop anyone else from betraying the village. I guarantee that fans would like her a lot more if she did something badass like that, but instead she remained useless almost the entire series and is literally only in the story to have Sasuke's kids. That sucks.

There was a point that I used to like Sakura and NaruSaku when I first watched Naruto. Once I started getting more into the series I saw how she plays a role in the story which made me dislike her more and more. My main problem with Sakura is that she turned into nothing more than a second-rate clone of Tsunade. Right down to the strength, temper and medic skills. (Tsunade has boobs though.) At least Sasuke and Naruto had unique traits that separate them from Orochimaru and Jiraiya.

I just add one thing about the exposition (and mentioned in the comments of another video) Naruto vs. Pain. While we saw the epilogue of the destruction of the Leaf, we also saw Sakura, who is fine (shocked, sure, but physically fine) and she got Katsuyu close to her, who is narrating her the highlights of the fight. And there comes the moment where Pain stabs Naruto in his extremities with his chakra rods to inmobilize him, and he is about to capture the Nine Tails. Sakura was close to the battlefield, Sakura knows Naruto's defeat means Leaf obliteration, she is Naruto's teammate and her best friend. Not only that, she had her strong fists that cracks the ground (very useful, by the way, considering Naruto was impaled in that ground). She had the responsibility to do something... No, Sakura was entitled, as a MAIN CHARACTER, to go there and help Naruto. No need to actually defeat Pain: just stall some time for Naruto to recover, for a rescue team arrives to save him or to be injured and, with that, generate a reaction in Naruto. NO NEED TO CREATE ROMANTIC MISUNDERSTANDINGS WHATSOVEVER!, because saving her teammate was the right, logical thing to do. But Sakura stayed there, in her place, moveless and hopeless, watching how Hinata, a SUPPORTING CHARACTER, would do precisely the feat Sakura should do. Everybody knew Hinata couldn't defeat Pain, but thanks to her (well.. thanks to her being stabbed by Pain), Naruto freed himself; thanks to her, Pain must ran away from the village to fight better against the Nine Tails; thanks to her, Naruto meets his father and made the plot advanced. Hinata did something proper from a main character, but then Sakura fans console themselves by saying "But Sakura healed Hinata" Come on, people...

We all know why Kishi made Hinata do it . The editors told him to , or else , he wouldn't let Naruto completely forget about that until Neji's death . But once again, Naruto told everyone to stay away; and they all know, in mortal danger Kurama always comes out as an act of self preservation. I basically think that Kishi sucks at writing female characters Like Sakura is basically useless in first series ,and the beginnning of shippuden she become useful and pretty much forgotten Ino is quiet okay in first series ,she has a good family bloodline and I actually liked her personality and looks ,and her back stroy as Sakura's child hood friend and she seems to know what suppose to do during times but she is pretty much never appear in shippuden Tenten never relevant ,at all Hinata ,despite that she had lots of fanbase due to her personality but she never kicked ass in any fight ,and the fight with pain is ruined by awful animation I dont wanna mention Karin and her "Sasuke plz bite my arm "thing the younger generation of females never get any spotlights and I hate that how Kishi make every female characters motivation is love ,like Sakura loves Sasuke ,Karin loves Sasuke ,Hinata loves Naruto , I am not sure about Konan is her motivation of love of Yahiko or following Nagato because of love of Yahiko ... I completely agree with you, even if I'm late to this ^^" The problem has been that Naruto, Sasuke (who are mains too) got a lot of panel time and crazy power-ups. Kakashi is more or less okay, even tough Kishi confessed showing him less because he was far more popular than naruto. So that leaves Sakura, he sould have find a way to balance her panel time and show her growth. Because then when she does appears after pein arc it was mostly for love interest and drama purposes and then punches things and got kicked/sideline. It's a bit disgusting cause at the end of the day, female or not, she's part of the main cast, the story, her story her goals are importants part of the plot. You can dislike her but you're not supposed to ignore her importance. However the way she's been handled if you take her out of the story. think hard about it. Replace her with a secondary charcater that appears from time to time (I.E : to heal) then there's no differences !! It souldn't be that way with main characters ...

I definitely felt the same way. Sakura started out incredible and strong-willed. She was willing to set her personal feelings aside and think like a shinobi. Then it took a nose dive when it came to Sasuke. Her inability to kill him isn't an act of 'compassion' or the strength of her love for him. Rather, it's an act of weakness. Sasuke would've respected Sakura more if she went through with the act. Even if he survived or she failed, it would've showed him the power of her convictions. it would show him how she possessed the Will of Fire, protecting the 'King' over her love. She would become a true shinobi. You mentioned Temari as a strong female character. Her name automatically popped up in my mind too. Another good female example would be Kushina. Not only does this woman take matters into her own hands, but she also thinks like a shinobi when push comes to shove. She isn't crying and begging Minato to stay with her and the baby when 9 Tails attacks. Rather, she's the one telling him to go. Even when she knows there's a possibility Minato will die, she puts the welfare of the village above her personal feelings. When Minato decides to use Naruto as a vessel, she fights him. But eventually she concedes and realizes Minato's choice is the correct one. You'd think Sakura would be like Kushina. It's possible to still love someone while still thinking like shinobi. Naruto learns this himself. He isn't willing to let Sasuke go, but isn't going to concede to him either. Realizing that neither of them will step down, Naruto is prepared to go all the way until they both end up dead. He concedes to the idea that this might not end pretty. Sakura, on the other hand, lacks this conviction. She doesn't want to entertain the possibility of losing Sasuke. She'd rather huddle in a corner, crying, and thinking about the good ole' days than accept his potential death. In Star Wars, Yoda advises Anakin Skywalker to 'let go'. That's the lesson Sakura needed to learn in order to fully mature. In her refusing to kill Sasuke, she only demonstrates an inability to let go.

I personally tried to like her throughout TBH. But her terrible treatment of Naruto(who actually liked her wanting nothing but her happiness/safety) and totally forced/superficial obsession with Sasuke(who didn't want anything to do with her when he wasn't nearly killing her while he was a rogue terrorist) annihilated her characterization. And look at her now, whatever development she accumulated is gone, now she's just a housewife with back problems while Sasuke is off for 10+ years leaving her to raise Sarada alone. But ah well, as long as Naruto is happy with Hinata. In a way, it's a fitting conclusion for Sakura, she definitely deserves Sasuke and his coldness.

Everyone else had real goals other than getting stronger hers was so bare bones to the point where she almost got murdered by sasuke and she still loved after he never even showed love for her. Hinata at least got stronger, beat her shyness and actually gave a damn about Naruto not just for looks and was willing to sacrifice her life against Pain just for a legitimate reason. I like this dude. I couldn't stand most of the female characters in this series, outside of Tamari and Tsunade. I think it boils down to the creator not knowing how to write a female character, similar with DBZ, name TWO females in that series that didn't bore or bug you. Sakura is a result of Kishimoto daydreaming about Kakashi giving Naruto and Sasuke a deep private lesson. Sakura got no storyline love. She is a good character but she has nowhere near as much scene development as the other main characters. She would have done well as just a support character. Not as an equal counterpart. I think she got sidelined by Tsunade. She is a Tsunade clone. Had to wait for a superior Sakura to die so Inferior clone Tsunade could take over.

As a side character Hinata doesn't get enough screen time. But for the time she gets, it always shows her improving. Sakura on the other hand gets A LOT of screen time and is the main heroine but she barely shows any growth at all. Until recent Kishimoto didn't write Sakura as a strong heroine. +Jameela Gill It is true that she does have her flaws, but being one of the strongest Kunoichi in her village, can't really give that to her, because she was the only one personally trained by Tsunade (when she returned in Konoha). If any of the other girls were trained by her instead, we'd at least expect them to be incredibly powerful. So the feat, isn't really much of an accomplishment. We'd actually count it against her, if she fell below that bar. Consider: Shizune was about 5-7 years old when she left with Tsunade. Skip forward to part one: She's about 25-7 and what can she do. She went from a civilian to able to match a trained Jounin (or special Jounin) in combat. She got a formal education and what we could assume to be a doctorate in medical healing. This was all done, when Tsunade gave her full focus to one person overtime (while forcibly traveling the lands). Shizune was able to fight off Ninja that were given proper instruction on how to be and fight like a Ninja. Gained the same level of education that Naruto and other characters went through, and is able to apply her skills in a meaningful way. Sakura really only surpasses Shizune because one: She already received (basic) Shinobi training as well as a proper education. Tsunade only had to focus on making her skill set grow (while staying in a single place). Imagine if she had trained Hinata (or any Hyuuga for that matter). The Gentle fist style used in conjunction with Tsunade's strength technique, would be overkill. Hiashi was able to kill a man with a single strike to his heart, now imagine what would have happened if that strike also had the ability to level buildings and mountains too. So again, Sakura doesn't really gain much if we examine in a equal opportunity stand point. We don't necessarily know anything about other female Shinobi of Konoha, only teams 7-10, so there could have been women with better control then Sakura. Even examining a prior generation. If Kurenai (when she was a kid) could have been trained by Modern Tsunade, she probably would have been hailed as the next Kushina or Tsunade.

Jeanluc Ocasio Sakura wasn't the only kunoichi to train with her or TRY to train with her. Tenten tried but realized that she couldn't learn it and decided to continue fighting with weapons. Ino was a student of tsunade too. She just couldn't keep with sakura and wasn't able to unlock the seal and isn't as advanced in medical ninjutsu as sakura. Hinata is a too fragile person to endure her training methods in the first place. Secondly, as you realize, most, if not all, of her students have EXCELLENT chakra control and chakra distribution skills. Because the technique of chakra enhanced super strength needs that very ability to work. Hinata has good chaka control but sakura has AMAZING chakra control skills. Sakura has the ability to focus massive amounts of chakra to any part of her body to do a ground demolishing attack and is able to regain and regenerate all her chakra in a second without wasting any chakra. That makes her IDEAL for the technique. Shizune herself praised sakura because of not only her amazing skills but of how she was able to perfect such an amazing technique in so little time while she herself couldn't do it from all the years she's been training. She also praised her because she was able to summon a lot of katsuya from the forest despite it being her first time The fact that sakura's a medical ninja is proof that she has better dodging and evading skills and combat speed. Yes her title is "world's strongest medical ninja". But remember who's title that was. Tsunade's. That means sakura is either rival to or superior to her master.

Damn she was loyal to sasuke for the whole of shippuden. She and naruto are forever loyal and he himself recognized that and said sorry to them Sakura only liked him for his looks but after a while she honestly cared for him and his well being and she didn't want him to go into darkness because truly loved him. Sakura has gone through a lot of shit for someone she only thought of as good looking. She thought many boys were good looking. If she really didn't like him besides his looks then she and naruto wouldn't have gone through so much for someone she only thought she good looking and nothing more. She even risked her life twice for him. You don't do that for someone who you just like. You do that when you're in love He hated her at first but during the war and the 2 years they spent together, he fell in love with her, married her and gave her a daughter. In emotional strength hinata is not very good either. I have to give both girls a 2 out of 10 in emotional strength because BOTH of their emotional strength sucks. Hinata risked her life for naruto and that was very sweet but she did so without any plan or strategy and almost died because of that. She is also only really determined or motivated to do something if he cheers her on or if he is involved in one way or another, which is bad. So both these girls get a two out of ten. Sakura has done more for naruto, but that's solely because she's on his team and interacts with him more and saves his life more. But I respect your opinion and thanks for sharing it ^^

What a lot of people forget is that Sakura used to be fucking smart. That was her whole thing, she was a straight A student that liked Sasuke but between her repeatedly proving ineffective in actual combat before becoming a Tsunade clone and Shikamaru taking the title of the "smart character", everyone remembers her as a useless character with a hard crush. If she had more character development and kept her advantage of being one step ahead of the knowledge game she would have been a great character. Of course though, it is known: Kishimoto can't write good female characters.

At the beginning of the anime it was she who explained the concepts of chakra and jutsus, as well as hand positions, ironically the moment that for me her character changed for the worse over time, it was when she cuts her hair to free herself, give to understand that "she is no longer the same" well of course, now her character will be based on loving a terrorist psychopath

This video is a medcine. I swear I got Triggered out of No where just remembering her shallow stalking Lust for Sasuke. Sasuke rejected her at the begining of the series. She should have some dignity and stay away from him. If the roles were reversed and Sasuke was the one all over her, he would be a creepy stalker dude. even his " hot " factor wouldn't matter because he is a guy. Well im a Sakura Fan but i must admit i agree with most of what you said she has taken a fall backwards and its very frustrating watching her with so much potential and not being able to use it properly and i blame kishi for that if he knew he couldnt write her properly then dont make her a main character and since the manga is coming to its climax so kishi says there isnt much hope for her to do anything now unless she does something extremely amazing which probably wont happen .. gud rant lol

i think it's funny that we're given high expectations for her potential in the beginning, but throughout the early portion everyone basically goes "she's a generic ninja" she had no specialty besides high chakra control and Kakashi implying she'd have some sort of genjutsu abilities. Kishi later introduces Tsunade, Jiraiya and Orochimaru then does this sort of cloning plan with these characters and genjutsu gets thrown out the window and gains the same set as Tsunade

Sakura Haruno wrongly judged by Naruto Fans While I was watching some KZbin reviewers videos about Naruto Manga latest chapters ( 631 and 632), I noticed how the character Sakura Haruno is wrongly judge by this so called Naruto “fans.” As we all know, the character of Sakura is the main female character of the series or as many fans see her the series’ “heroine.” All throughout the series of Naruto, Sakura is being called the most annoying and “useless” character; which she is obviously not. In the interview that appears in “The Art of Naruto Uzumaki,” Kishimoto is asked what is his ideal heroine type for what he responded: “I don’t have a definite image of what a heroine should be, so even when I try to draw one, she doesn’t turn out like a typical heroine, She just looks like a girl who can’t understand men… That’s the way it usually goes.” With this we can tell female characters aren’t Kishimoto’s strength. Next, he is asked if that was what made Sakura charming for what he responded, “Probably. I DIDN’T create Sakura to serve as the story’s heroine, I suppose. I just thought it would be interesting to have a character who was slightly irritating, but who had a good head on her shoulders. I created Naruto first and Sasuke next, and then finally Sakura. But she is a great character. She’s cheerful; she is a leader type. Her energy and her flirtatious spirit around Sasuke are her defining characteristics.” Did you all read that? Of course you did. From this response should be clear that Sakura isn’t actually the heroine in this manga/anime, meaning that she isn’t obligated to be Naruto’s girlfriend at all. So, there is a 50% she will be Naruto’s girlfriend and 50% that she can be Sasuke’s. Now, Kishimoto described her as the leader type; throughout the manga we never get to see this “leader type” until this week chapter(632). In the first page of chapter 632 who we see leading Team 7 was Naruto until the last page in which Sakura is a step ahead of Sasuke and Naruto, who will be protecting her back from now on. That doesn’t mean she is necessarily stronger than Sasuke and Naruto, but she isn’t weaker. Many, many fans said that the end of this chapter ruined the chapter just because Sakura was saved by Naruto and Sasuke at the end and she said “Sasuke-kun,” however, that’s not what Kishimoto tried to show the fans, but the fact that they are a team once again like in the old times. As for the “Sasuke-kun” everyone gets so annoyed about, remember, Kishimoto said that her flirtatious spirit around Sasuke is one of the characteristics that make Sakura, Sakura Haruno; without that she would be a completely different character. Along with this, fans found “cocky” ? Sakura’s thought at the end which was,” Tsunade-sama…I think I finally caught up with them.” No, she wasn’t being cocky at all, we can tell that after her FIRST attack Naruto and even Sasuke acknowledged her as someone they can fight side to side; and the single fact that Sakura could do a jutsu that even Shizune, who have been Tsunade’s pupil for way longer time than Sakura, can’t do. So please, give it a bit of thought and give Sakura Haruno the respect she deserves. And remember, if you are truly a Naruto fan you won’t hate ANY character because they are all just amazing just as Kishimoto’s way of writing and art style. The book, “The Art of Naruto Uzumaki” is filled with Kishimoto’s art of the first season of Naruto published by VIZ Media on October 2007. All the images in this book are poster-like and in full color; there is about one hundred pages full of his amazing art followed by pages in which Kishimoto describes each image. There is also a small section called ” The Making of a NARUTO Illustration,” in which is shown step by step how Kishimoto draw a Naruto poster as far as how he colors it and which tools he used. Another section shows the twenty weekly Shonen Jump covers in which Naruto was featured from 1999 to 2004. At the end of the book there is an Special Extended Interview with Kishimoto in which he reveals the secret behind the creation of the World of Uzumaki. It's not being selfish. She saw the danger that Naruto was facing just to save his old comrade. She even state that she'll stop being selfish and help Naruto to search for Sasuke during the beginning of the arc. But after in pain invasion and Naruto got beat up from the lighting shinobi. Sakura felt guilty and want Naruto to stop. She knows that reasoning won't help alone, she had no choice to say "I love you" to hope that Naruto will stop his pointless search. Sakura's feelings are still unknown to Naruto so I won't call it a total lie. A lot of people get upset of this, but they never check the bright side of why she did it. I mean she didn't come all the way in the middle of a town just to troll with Naruto; she's not that kind of girl. She is a true kind friend.

Bruh. I like Sakura, but yo, I sooOOooo agree w/ how bad she got it from Kishimto. Friggin Kakashi failed at helping her develop jutsu, she had epic parts in the Garra rescue arc but DAMN, it's like..nothing else until the War! She keeps getting saved, Kishi never let her fight Sasuke like she SHOULD have instead of once again, getting saved, etc! So far as SS goes I like the ship only because if mothafkin' Naruto can call Sasukeee his bestest pal evar after ALL the sht he did to him, then her marrying Sasuke is completely understandable. She even looks like Amy Rose (only because of her pink, mid-length hair, to say the least) who is the Princess Peach (who should NOT be the main female character for being prissy AND useless, as opposed to Rosalina), and both should not be the main girls of their franchises because they go head-over-heels over male teenagers (Sonic the Hedgehog and Sasuke Uchiha, who are far more underrated and specially powerful and super-popular), have arch-rivalries with other female teens (Rouge the Bat and Ino) and are deliberately defenceless (the worst part of that is because they decided to be sexist with it because they are girls).
