The best salesmen in my experience, weren’t in sales. They were in operation, or techs. They simply talked about what they knew, and were really into it. People can pick up on that. They gave two shits about selling something, but they were super knowledgeable and the selling just took care of itself.

Fantastic video. I’m a sales guy. I like this approach. - Do a good job - Work hard - Be an expert I would argue that if you strategically work less hard - and by that i mean get the prospect to do more work i.e. ask them questions to get them to sell themselves on buying - that’s even better

You are right man. I went to sales classes and it was all a psychological wrestling match technique with the customer. I find the best sales technique is someone who believes in their service and products.

I agree with your philosophy but disagree with your real estate example. If you watch million dollar listing for example, they all promise the seller high sales of their property to get the listing, but then ask them to drop their price later because they know it isn't possible.

@@hotkeyafl the realtors I know that I’ve made a lot of money really know their shit. But let’s say like you were a realtor and you were having a slump on your sales. I think you would gain more from research on the market and finance then you would from some “sales“ training. I guess more or less what I’m saying is if you want to sell something the best place to start is by learning everything you can about it

disagree. otherwise the manufacturer would be the distributor calibrated questions > product knowledge

The manufacturer is the distributor for goods that people actually want, for example cocaine. If the product requires a bunch of psychological jedi mind tricks to sell, either the product fucking sucks or the salesman doesnt know shit or perhaps both.

Completely and respectfully disagree. In plumbing and service sectors in construction sure, youre right with your honest and expertise approach. But car dealerships specifically are designed to move low grade product at the most inflated price possible. Lots of people go in knowing they shouldnt be getting another car or an upgrade but their vanity and allure for something they cant afford is too much. So when they get a snake of a salesman, they dont care as long as hes willing to dance, charm and look shiny while doing it.. Theres a big difference in selling plumbing (a necessity for 1st worlder) and selling a luxury (a 2nd car to people that could get by on their beater already). Worked in car dealerships since I was a child, most customers come in wanting to be lied to and made to feel special to begin with. The salesman feeds directly into that need. Nobody calls a plumber/hvac trying to be sold a dream though, they just want the thing fixed and to be explained the issues in laymen terms.

@@AsviniKumar4747 you just described people that you don’t need to sell to. I’m sure there are discerning customers who are tougher to crack. I’m sure you can think of customers that you didn’t sell to who bought else where. Do you think more expertise in the industry and products would help you close those sales?

I say keep it simple stupid! Lol ! I say being honest and know your product the jobs will sell themselves! Told I am remodeling a new house I just bought! I heard every pitch from the big companies you could imagine! 90% percent of the time I went with solo owners because I was better able to negotiate and they for sure had less over head. So I felt I got a better bang for my buck! When I did have to use a big companies I made sure to research going costs and rates! I feel the customers need to become educated also so they won't be taken! I work hard for my money and I'm not going to given it away to some slick Rick because he sounds good! Rock on!

I kind of agree and disagree on this point. I want to buy a used car because I have none and a brand new is too high on my budget atm. But like you laid out pretty well, the industry is already set to pull the rug on you. So I either save it to buy a brand new or get used from a reputable store which ain't gonna be cheap.

Have you ever though that your perspective overlooks several key considerations? Large corporations invest in sales teams, not just to waste money right? No because this approach has been proven to benefit the company significantly. And an salesperson's role is not merely to provide answers, because the customer doesn't always know what they need. Right? So to ask the right questions is how sales works that guides the customer towards recognizing their own need for the product or service, something you clearly don't know how to do in any of your videos. Have you ever though it would've been worth to work smart and invest time in studying sales instead of working hard like taxi drivers? You clearly don't, because you would've had the same results in fewer years. However, it appears you prefer to adhere to your current beliefs rather than acknowledge the critical importance of sales, potentially opting for hard work over smart strategies. Because lets be honest, people are more lazy to think then work? This mindset explains why others achieved success way faster and bigger then you. Have you ever realized you exchanged the one thing not replaceable for money, time? So it's understandable why you now have anxiety and smoke, you exchanged labor for income without fully leveraging the power of sales skills and save time because you're lazy.

@@AnotherMovie well, I’m sure you’re right in many ways. But I’m not sure if you really countered my point that the best sales technique is expertise. Expertise can’t be taught in a one week course. Let’s say you sell business to business software. Let’s say you have a rudimentary understanding of the software and are three months into your career selling it. What do you think is going to be more beneficial for that salesman? A deeper understanding of the product and service he is selling? Or some phrases he can say whenever he gets a certain response from customers? See what I’m saying? I have consistently been a top sales performer everywhere I’ve ever been. I have changed the standards of nearly every company I’ve worked at. I turned $7000 Into a multi million dollar company in a short while with my salesmanship. But my salesmanship is not smoke and mirrors. It’s a real product and service. If you believe in what you’re selling and have the confidence that comes from being a true expert, you become unstoppable. I’m a high school dropout dude and I can sell to billionaires. I’ve done it. On Thursday I have a meeting with a literal billionaire about a multi million dollar project I’m going to sell him. The method used to get the sale will be my credibility and expertise. By focusing on the product and the service and delivering it in the most effective way possible, you will generate more sales than your peers.
