Being a perfectionist I always put pressure on myself to always feel, be and look my best. I recently turned 22 and felt emotionally overwhelmed trying to explain why I feel that way so I can "fix myself". My sister then told me that it is completely normal to feel that way sometimes AND so important: That I don't always need to try coming up with a solution but instead to just "be" without constantly overanalyzing myself and let go of that fixing mindset. Because oftentimes we think that it is not acceptable to have these off days, so we tend to blame ourselves for feeling that way. But in order to grow through things you have to go through things. Some things you just can't control right now but trust me everything is temporary ☀️🌻

THIS!!! it's okay to not have the answers all the time. Not everything needs a solution, like you said we just need to "be"

agreeing throughout this entire video... I can tell you've already grown so much since your last few videos and I'm very proud! you nailed it within the first minute, self care has already become commoditised and a trend/aesthetic on social media but those actions are basically useless unless you commit to building that foundation of self esteem and self worth like you mentioned. one thing I wanted to add about validating your emotions and experiences - we definitely need to do this for ourselves, but hearing someone else (my therapist lmao) finally validate what I'd been through was completely lifechanging for my healing as well. also you made me remember that the most deeply content time in my life was when I was writing those I am statements daily. so happy you are on this journey and I'm looking forward to more videos like this!

When I want to love myself and know our shortcomings, then we will fix them. For example, inside me, I feel like there are a lot of things that I haven't fixed, but I can still love myself now. Sometimes I'm confused about where to start. I can only look at people. What seems perfect in every way makes me more insecure, and I try to start improving to be better at what I can't do.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video Nil ❤ I’ve been struggling with these lately, happened the same thing to me that I thought I was great until I started going to therapy and now I’m opening the bag that kept me numb and allowed me to pretend I was doing great by rationalizing my feelings, this video made me feel less alone in this process so I cried a lot, but this felt like a hug 🫶🏻 thank you infinitely

I'm having a really hard time believing that I'm worth loving. I have weird kinks, I'm extremely socially inept, and I've had people call me whiny, entitled, dishonest, creepy, narcissistic, and a lot of other things. The worst part is that I'm worried they might be right. Sometimes I wonder if it's a good thing I'm perpetually single, because I don't deserve to be loved.
