Sold a few things over the years, only had a couple of issues where one item got damaged in post and another got lost in post. Luckily eBay has measures to solve these for the most part. The seller fees though, it would be so much easier if they treated them the same way as PayPal rather than billing you later.

I've stopped selling phones on eBay. Sold spotless phones and about 4 months later the buyer knackers the phone and then puts in a claim which eBay always sides with them. It has worked in my favour this week though when bought a pixel XL they said was new and it wasn't as battery only 60% on accubattery and had a SIM card in so got full refund. Daft thing was I even offered them just to pay £60 for new battery and they ended up with nothing as refused.

I sell uniforms and the most I got charged was $2k. I mean I love selling there for my business since I only sell physically on the weekends and all week I’m just working on my eBay orders. I like the new payout system tho since it’s direct deposit to your bank.

i stray away from using ebay purely cuz i know i can get something thats higher quality for a tiny bit more with next day delivery on amazon. the last thing i bought from ebay was my phone which was a slight hassle as i had to send it back and the seller had to send another one. he told me to not submit it as a return on ebay and i was slightly worried i was getting scammed. luckily, i didnt get scammed but because of the hassle, ill probs stay away from ebay lol

It's even worse for the people that sell on this site. As a buyer ebay is excellent and I buy the stuff that's cheaper than amazon on there. But as a seller though there's absolutely no protection and you run a risk of getting scammed on every sell.

I only sell on eBay when they have reduced fees (-70% or 1€ flat fee), which they regularly have 😊 Recently sold a camera for 600$ and only had to pay 3€ in fees, which is cool. It's also more comfortable than selling on craigslist or fb marketplace, as you have protection and don't have to meet anyone in person. I also find that you tend to get way more money than on craigslist, probably because there are more possibly buyers.

Ebay sucks. Tried to get my money back from a scam seller that has been out of business and they keep making me wait. Over a month and I’m still fighting them on this. The only thing the company send was a tracking number and nothing else. Because of that, I have to wait. Item has not moved at all from Florida. This company is going down for sure. Ebay has no idea how to work with customers that’s for sure. I’m done with them.

eBay sucks BIG TIME! If you are a seller, be prepared to say goodbye to all your profits. There won't be any left after all the fees. Instead, sell on Bonanza, Facebook, or Mercari.

Sold an iphone on ebay for about 300 - customer complained something was wrong with it and it got lost in the mail. Ebay took 300 from my account and now i didn't have the phone so i basically lost $600, after a while i couldn't even find the listing because they decided to fucking remove a bunch of listings from existence

ebay blows hard, less users every year, less sales every year, more fees charged to sellers every year, the algorithm is a complete f...uped mistery. It doesn't matter how much you invest in buying more inventory, sales just decline year after year, they are extremely weak compared to Amazon. I am actively moving away from ebay, sick of it really.

Agreed, I was charged tax and charges twice on the same item after a bidder wouldn't pay the first time. Took 3 months to get 120 euro in charges back from ebay not worth the hassle.

They forced me to change my payments from going to paypal to my bank account. eBay fixed the fees by just giving you a payment with the fees already taken out. Con: payout dates, not immediate payment.

Here before 1000 views. Before even watching the video I know the fees suck, buyers scam you and ebay does nothing about it. Ebay takes days and days to give you your money. Ebay doesn't let you do negative feedback anymore. And yet the only reason I'm still on the site is because of the exposure compared to any other one. I think most of us can agree.

Heh, no. I don’t agree. After this last time selling and seeing that EBay agents will fuck you over and conflict each other on the advice they give, the convoluted website... I just don’t feel like EBay is looking out for it’s users, and their support is hot smoldering feces. I’ll be voting with my wallet on this one, and saying fuck you, EBay. it used to be much easier. Now it seems like a total shitshow.
