I went to a strip joint once, but I was in no mood for a lap dance, and frankly I didn't find the girl attractive either. I tried to be kind about it and offered the going rate for a lap dance, but she didn't even have to dance for me for it. Instead she was furious, told the manager I sexually abused her (complete lie), then I explained my side. Why was she so angry?

you missed it by a mile, the reason I use to go to strip clubs and escorts was because of the EMOTIONAL ABUSE I WAS RECIVING FROM MY EX GIRLFREND, SHE DROVE ME TO A DARK PLACE OF INSECUIRTY AND ESCAPE. Before meeting my ex I never once visited a strip club or paid for sex, my ex girlfriend made me hate women and reduce them to just a butt and tits because of how evil she was. so no not all men who seek prostitutes come from a broken home. many times its their wife who drive them there.

I think she’s overlooking the group of men who pay up front to get around dealing with the nonsense of conventional dating. Why spend precious time and money trying to “ court” a broken single mother, when you can make an explicit arrangement with a woman upfront? For many men, sex is still a desire but the concept of exposing yourself to all the negatives of relationships is not appealing.

I’m a male with anxious attachment…far from avoidant. I’ve had childhood trauma on multiple levels. I always sought sex workers. My body count is staggering. Psychologically it was connected to my lower self worth and abandonment fear. The sex kept me from feeling those wounds and numbing those traumas. Luckily I’ve worked hard with an attachment trauma therapist and got away from the need for validation from women and other external sources. It’s hard to heal but very doable.

Men who are visiting strip clubs or sex workers are not looking respect from those women … they couldn’t care less. They are looking for a service. - Former security guard
@dinos9607
@dinos9607 Жыл бұрын
I was just explaining this above. Sex like anything else can become a service. Clients want the sex, not seeking connections and respect. Men could not care less what the prostitutes think of themselves or of the sex they have with them, they just care to receive a service that worths the price tag, that is all. Sadia also lies when she says that all or most prostitutes come from childhood abuse. I am using prostitutes for the past 5 years after my divorce and I have seen prostitutes that show signs of past abuse, childhood or not, these are detectable by their demeanour, either unpleasant or depressed - and of course I avoid them. The most common case of how a prostitute becomes one, is that of a poor girl that started having sex 15-16, she started having multiple boyfriends, thus losing her value in the romantic market and then deciding to just monetise her sex better in the prostitution market rather than in the romantic one. The other alternative would be cleaning stairs or picking cotton in the fields or something. You can't take seriously Sadia's view or any woman's one at all. Women hate prostitution because it lowers their own value in the sexual market place, that is all.

@@nickhexum01 Exactly, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, it is consensual sex like any other. I can tolerate negative reactions only by people who are against sex outside marriage - there it is understandable that they have a moral code of theirs that does not accept sex if not within the confines of marriage. However, I can't tolerate hypocrites who accept and even promote sex outside marriage but somehow their pseudo-morals make them cause an outcry about prostitution. These people are the definition of hypocrisy.

Some guys have spent years being used and abused by bad women and being emotionally and financially wrecked by them that they're just sick of it. Personally as an autistic guy, I am not psychologically equipped to deal with how insidiously manipulative women can be. The gaslighting in particular; I'm very trusting and honest by nature and the gaslighting really crushes me. No matter how much a man comes to distrust women, the need for intimacy will likely still be there. Escorts pretty much become a means to have that physical intimacy without needing to go through all the drama. Another thing that I think makes a lot of good guys give up on dating is that, women seem to have a subconscious need to be treated like absolute crap. I kinda remember the second I subconsciously gave up on dating. I had recently gotten out of an abusive relationship and had joined a new Discord group with some people I met in FF14. One of the guys during a raid one night was talking about how annoying girls chase him despite him treating them like absolute garbage because he wants them to leave him alone. The harder he tries to shoo them away, the more he would be rude to them and ignore them and insult them, the more they would stick to him. These girls happily let him use them for sex. Meanwhile, the one girl he was interested in and nice to and wanted to actually date, she wouldn't give him the time of day. He wasn't even that attractive; it was like they were relentlessly chasing him for no other reason than he just treated them like crap. Some guys just morally can't be that guy and would rather be single than be a douchebag. For me personally, I want to be a loving, faithful partner, and be a good provider. But its almost like, as much as women complain about men not giving them that they actively sabotage opportunities to get it. At least with an escort, you can treat her with warmth and compassion and still have your needs met. Dating has become like a gacha game; you can throw butt loads of time, money and emotion into it and still not roll the character you want. It's a very costly and draining zero-sum game.

You have not been meeting the right women. Consider your values. Because one of the probems with prostitutes is that you can get more than you paid for. Like, a disease, robbed, arrested, or even killed. I am a mental health professional. I have worked with people with addictions, many of them convicted criminals of which a large number are prostitues/escorts. They are sociopaths and don't care about you. When they see you, they see dollar signs. One woman I worked with had a habit of getting the men that she had sex with drunk or high, and once they were passed out she'd leave the room after stealing all their money and credit cards. Eventually she got caught and ended up in prison for 3 years, but by then, she was pretty well stocked. The great majority of the women I worked with were infested with STDs. Is that a surprise, though? I feel truly sorry for many people out there who are trying swim in the cess pool of dating and mating. There is a huge disconnect, and it's a full on war between men and women.

Remember, you need to learn how to be attractive to women first, or they won't care if you're a good provider, caring, compassionate, loyal, etc. "Douchebag" was obviously attractive to women. Every man who struggles with women must learn to be attractive first, and then he will start to have options

Few thoughts on the whole escort thing. 1) The statement of men dealing with escorts about 'they cannot get those women so at least let them pay for it'. Men are always paying for it, so this an indirect way in obfuscating that truth. It should never be obfuscated. All women are escorts in some form, period. The questions are: What is the medium of exchange (Some combination of Time, Effort, Resources), what is the duration, and what is the depth of the entanglement (Emotional, Financial, Exclusivity, etc.). Society has blessed certain avenues for intimacy and shamed other avenues. Society does this as a means of control in an attempt to force certain outcomes. It doesn't mean there are not prospective positive benefits to society's way of engaging in intimacy vs the other, but it is always society looking out for its best interest, not the individuals in question. 2) Emotional Intelligence is catch all made up buzzword psychobabble. Ask 5 people what it means, one will receive 5 different answers. It doesn't exist, speak plainly. 3) Escorts allow men with money to experience those women without rejection. Yes, this is correct, and? 4) I don't know what fantasy land the men falling in love with their escorts comes from on any measurable scale. I'm sure it happens, but not in any noticeable numbers compared to the number of individuals who engage in the activity. I'd love to see the study giving credit to this comment and pool of people asked, controls, etc. (That last part is facetious, it doesn't exist.) Don't take anything of the above as an endorsement of sex work. I just get peeved at thinly veiled attempts to degrade/shame men on this subject, instead of earnestly looking at the 'why' of the activity, and its prevalence. Same goes for the pornography narrative.

And yet she lies when she claims that prostitutes, all or most of them, come from abuse. Prostitutes do come generally from lower socio--economic backgrounds and often from broken homes but other than they were not abused in the sense she insinuates. The typical case of a prostitute is that of a poor girl who has had sex at 15-16, got abandoned by her boyfriend, then found a new one and a new one and someone left her pregnant and she either kept the child or she aborted it and having lost touch with the "romantic game" she decided to monetise her sex. Good for her. These are for the most women who would be forced to become cleaning ladies or working at menial positions in a factory or in the fields. To avoid that "fate" they prefer prostitution because they personally find sex work as less tiring, more flexible and by all means far more lucrative. Prostitutes earn on average between 5 and 10 times what they would earn in a job that would correspond to their skills or better say lack of them. I am a client for years and I talk with them and most of them genuinely admit they love their work, mainly for 2 reasons : money and the time flexibility : they can start and stop working anytime they like, these are women who can't work in a fixed timetable, you can't lock them in a factory or in an office cubicle. She also lies about "connection". Sex with a prostitute does not differ from a hook up like the hook ups she promotes, maybe not directly but certainly indirectly. We don't live in a world where sex takes place inside marriage, most of sex going on takes place outside marriage. Hook ups for the most. And the only difference between prostitution sex and hook ups is that the man does not have to pay as much and he does not have to lie and manipulate. Because let's face the elephant in the room : for the vast majority of men to have sex, they need to lie and manipulate (at least by a little if not by quite much) and then spend quite a lot (often exorbitant amounts of money) - the latter being the winning point for women in this game, a point which is threatened of course by prostitution. For all Sadia cares, prostitution lowers the price of sex and that is why she speaks so negatively against it and lies about it.

I found her articulate but not amazing. She comes across to me as a mild narcissist. She is slightly demeaning in her view of men who use prostitutes. the reality is not all men who go to prostitutes the same and not all prostitutes the same. i know a semiplegic guy who is very good friends with a prostitute. he has many female friends but evidently he not good enough for em despite being a sweet guy. The prostitute althoug paid takes really good care of this guy and makes him happy. It's not a cold, emotionless, relationship as sadia would frame it. the reality is having a sexual partner is a matter of luck: looks, personality and money you have. There's actually many men who can't have sex and it's not because of low self esteem, it just is the sad reality of their circumstance.

Finally Chris got it right. Women exchange sex for resources. Either through marriage or sex work. Now that women have their own resources their demands from men have become just impossible skewing the market. Legal sex works evens the playing field. This situation can only be remedied through legalizing and destigmatizing sex work. This will make women's expectations realistic enough to form connections. Every woman who is against sex work will couch it in the language of exploitation to sound noble. However, essentially she is acting out of self interest to keep the price of sex high. Such women have no concern or empathy men.

I agree we should not play the marriage or relationship game especially given current divorce laws. I am not sure why we should not play the sex work game. What damage does only fans actually cause?? On the other hand smart women on only are making a lot of money. The opposition to sex work comes from elites who want to eliminate sex work to make marriage the only avenue for sex and to force people to play the marriage and relationship game. This is not in men's interest. Se we need to ensure sex work is legal.@@KirosWinstone

Imagine you had to sell your body. Would you like having people you don't know and probably despice use your body for sex? Would you like to be used as a disposable thing? Would you like your daughter, your son or sister to be a prostitute? I do know that a minority of the sex workers enjoy their job, but I believe that most sexworkers are selling their bodies out of desperation. Prostitution should not be option for survival. Instead we have to offer more help to the people who struggle. Saving women, young girls and young boys is simply more important than mens need for sex. Your life isn't ruined if you can't get a prostitute. A sexworker will most likely end up scarred. Ban prostitution!

I would also like to add, as an ex stripper but also a deep romantic (I know right, how do they go hand in hand?!) that women have been taking money (or “resources”) from men since time memorial. Whether you do this within a respectful marriage, a loving boyfriend/girlfriend relationship or whether this is a transactional thing, women get things from men, and men also get something from the woman. I cook and clean for my husband and raise our children, and have done this now for 15 years. He provides financial support and a great life for me and our children. I adore him! When I was stripping, I was taking the fleeting financial opportunity - but everything comes with a price. My husband no doubt is paying for me - do I sit back and do nothing? All relationships have some element of transaction - let’s be realistic! The difference is, when love and respect and friendship is involved, because to take that away, reveals the stripper and the customer, the hooker and the trick, the one night stands etc etc.

I get what people are saying - in a dream world, love would be pure and selfless and perfect, and everything would be 50/50! But, with any long term relationship, the power dynamic shifts continuously, and you “bring things” to every relationship. The man might bring stability, finances, protective nature and calm. The woman might bring positivity, beauty, organisation and outgoing vibrancy. It’s all give and take, and a continual balancing act. Women have been looking for providers since the dawn of time, and men will always be attracted to youth and beauty. It’s a trade off. To tell a young and beautiful woman not to monetise or use her beauty for gain, is like telling an intelligent competent man not to use his intelligence to make money for himself. I’ve been happily married for 10 years to my husband, we have three kids and a happy home. No disrespect to KZbin culture commenters, but notice how these celebrities philosophise without having a lasting marriage, or even being married ever before! Maybe it’s time to watch “Pretty Woman” again!

I'm impressed with how spot on Sadia is. I've spoken to alot of sex workers and the majority were sexually abused as children, so for them the act of sex lost its special status. Then as they got older they learned that giving men sex was the easiest way to gain resources from them. On the other side the men who are addicted to the industry go there because they were rejected by women. Either they were in long term relationships that fell apart or they just got sick of being rejected by women at clubs. It's to the point now where the thought of dating a regular western woman makes them cringe. Then there is the money factor. It's a common joke that a girlfriend will "spend all your money", but its actually seems to be true and most men accept it as a part of fulfilling their biological need for sex. In most cases visiting a sex worker is much cheaper than maintaining an expensive girlfriend - you get your physical urges sorted and you still get to live your life. I daresay alot of violence and abuse towards women could be avoided if the perpetrators had access to sex workers.

I'm a sex worker and I'm more disgusted by men that I meet in everyday life. I wasn't sexually abused as a child. What made me separate sex from emotins were men who have been treating me as a sexual object since my early teenage years. I've been harrassed by men in everyday life countless times and the people who dated me always pushed me into sex really early. It's like it's a normal thing these days to sleep with someone on the second date. As you can guess, the sexual experiences weren't really great (I guess the men "knew" everything they knew about sex from porn...) and it took me many years to discover my boundaries, likes and dislikes and be able to communicate them. So once you're offered money to sleep with someone and you realize you get pretty much the same experiences like when dating, why not take it? This way I at least get something out of the dates. Even if the sex isn't that great, I still get paid. Oh yes, and I have had some long term relationships too and I loved those people. That didn't make sex anyhow better though. Maybe during the honeymoon phase and it sure feels better to sleep with someone you feel comfortable with and who knows what you like, but otherwise it's just the same.

I appreciate her input on many things, but I have to say as a sex worker, this is not completely true - I was raised in a normal two parent household, never had any kind of abuse. The reason I chose to do sex work is because it is easiest money there is, and there are only two options for women - get something in return for sex or give it away for free, and in a capitalist society where time is money, it makes zero logical sense to have sex for free, because most men do not view sex as “sacred” or “special” anyway. Most men are transactional therefore it only makes sense to deal with them in a transactional way.

It’s such an interesting subject as not many professionals talk about the actual psychology behind sex workers. As an independent escort here in Australia, I could absolutely relate to this part as I have thought about it some many times: "The reason why emotional disconnection is so important for the customers is because a man who understand emotional intelligence and a woman’s emotion wouldn’t feel comfortable having sex with a woman who he knows doesnt want to be there. A guy that normally has emotional intelligence would think oh gosh, she’s probably not enjoying this and oh gosh what trauma led her to get here? I don’t want to have sex with somebody who doesnt want to have sex with me. But the man who skips that emotional intelligence and just want pleasure will not even think about the emotional trauma that got her into this position and will just think as long as she pleases me I don’t really care what it took to get her here." It feels like talking about it would hurt too much, so we just go about our business and hope for the best. Thank you for the great episode, I love your work!

As she discussed, a lot of professional men who are financially secure use services provided by escorts. Escorts come from a variety of backgrounds and have a variety of reasons for becoming one, much in the same way that their customers use their services. Married men and single men both see escorts. You can't paint everyone with the same brush. There are also escorts that are not objectively good looking in the same way that you have clients that are objectively good looking with emotional intelligence. At 3:20 and onward: thats a really controversial position in my opinion. Here, in Germany prostitution is legal, and i have NEVER heard of a man renting a hooker to „boost his ego“. There is also not neccesarrily a psychological reason for why men use hookers. We are simple animals. Men want to have sex. Convincing a woman to organically give it up is difficult, time consuming and expensive, and has a very low success rate. It is thusly simpler to just pay a whore and be done with it.

As a man who has seen plenty of female betrayal, I do not want to further subject myself to emotional or financial pain. Just within a small circle I witnessed over 10 cases of female betrayal or monkey branching. Personally I do not wish to pretend or lie to women just to obtain sex because marriage is not one of my life goals. Hence I pay for 53x, have women friends just for female companionship. By paying for 53x , my needs are met hence I have strength to resist temptation from the wrong type of women.

I'm always so shocked to hear about women being ruthless to each other. I hear it a lot, but I never encountered it in my life. I'm always comfortable about talking about achievements to my friends, and hearing they did something great always made me happy and proud - that I'm friends with such amazing people) I do cherish my male friends as well, but we are not that close. And if we were, it would look... a little inappropriate if we were. I hug and hold hands with my female friends, and no, not doing it with male friends.

I am retired USA army and I been all over the world, when I was in Germany, it was just more like fun, to go to the Red light area of town, but when I was a good relationship here in USA, I never would go to a strip clubs, it was situational depending what was going in my life. The strippers, I met many of them here in USA, would try to make some type of mental connection with you like just talking to me for 5 minutes, like some type of mental control, I would just laugh at the stripper and tell them they are nothing but a rental. Many strippers try to tell me they are the hottest most sexy thing alive when they to get me to go a back, room where they 100 for 3 songs, I would just laugh, becasue i been to Russia and had many girl frinends.

She tell’s me . You know there are guys in this world that have No Game. They don’t even know how to approach a girl let alone talk to her. There are some guys that ain’t what you’d call handsome or cute. No woman ever swipes right on these guys. These guys have done everything the magazine article, the books, the love gurus have said to do. They’ve bought flowers, candies, clothing, jewelry, shoes , expensive dinners. You name it. But still no women are even slightly interested in any type of contact. All these guys are hoping for is a little human contact. If it turns into more so be it. Now, the women who are willing to make contact with these guys are what I see as Angels. Though the rest of society only sees them as Sex Workers. They get paid,. Yes Because it’s WORK!!! So what!! But tell me what’s the price of flowers, clothing, jewelry These guys are humans that need just some human contact. They’re not asking or even hoping for more from women. They’ve been rejected , denigrated, used for material and financial gain with nothing in return.

Well is very difficult to have “no game” I speak from experience I was really a loser when I was younger with girls. Truth is it’s most about charm, you just have to develop it. You need to truly love women and connect with them on an emotional level. You need to overcome the fear of rejection and have some personality. Then you’ll start attract women like magic. Trust me I have been the guy with no chance now all changed. It’s all on your mind….

As a Muslim, I believe that Islam is fair to women. They are mothers, sisters, and wives. Their primary role is to take care of the husband and children. So, if you want to destroy any society, start with women. We have to return to our nature. We are all complementary to each other, and each one performs the role for which he was created.

*I like escorts for a few reasons that aren't being considered here. First and foremost - convenience. Other routes to sex aren't guaranteed, they a require a large investment of time, effort and money, and they carry a substantial risk of some form of emotional pain to both the woman and myself. Whereas an escort eliminates all of those factors and gives me what I want for a relatively small fee. The appeal of this benefit should be obvious. Secondly, **--and this is perhaps less obvious--** Escorts permit you to relax and behave in a way that is independent of winning their approval, which is extremely liberating as a man. When you're conventionally dating, you constantly have to balance being yourself with being someone she approves of, and you're under way more pressure to perform in bed as well. But with an escort - I can say what I like and be myself, and I don't have to worry about whether I perform or not, because I've already satisfied her financially (paradoxically, the lack of pressure makes me perform really well.)* *Sadia has some interesting theories but despite her dogmatism, that's what they are - theories. Sometimes things just aren't as deep as she thinks they are.*

She’s right. Women don’t support other women, and you can easily see this as when a guy approach a group of women, the friends will always try to find reasons to reject the guy, even if the girl is feeling him. It’s their way of sabotaging other women’s potential for sex or relationships.

The point she mentioned about emotional disconnect between escorts and their clients does make a lot of sense. I consider myself to be emotionally intelligent even though I couldn't get laid without the help of escorts. As someone who doesn't have experience with women my mind almost treated them as an alternative to dating, especially after getting rejected dozens of times. the thing is even if you try to humanize those hookers it can't work due to the time & money limitations & they want to make money and do it as many times as possible, so you have to be kicked out. Therefore, it is very limited even if you try being a gentleman with those prostitutes.

Sadia is just a cup of poison in a pretty package. Don't believe her. She is pouring scorn, contempt and judgment on people who must be suffering a lot inside. All the while she is trying to pass herself off as some kind of healer or teacher. Missing is empathy or understanding for any of the people she discusses and judges. She has no wisdom. She gives off cold arrogance. To me it seems like she is the one who is lacking in love and can't make and meaningful connections. Morally, I don't judge people who are looking for warmth, love,etc, even if they are wounded and incomplete and maybe can't make the journey. I feel compassion and I wish these people well. Religion teaches that love is a mystery and blessing and it can show up anywhere, even in the deepest personal darkness. That is something worth believing in. Sadia is the type who wants to cast the first stone..

I felt like the comment about girls who work at strip clubs was insensitive and ignorant. “They are ruthless with how they are taking money from men”. And men are at a strip club because they want to have a human connection with these women, get to know them intimately, gently touch their souls? Nope. They are there to entertain themselves and exploit these women’s bodies. Like, be for real, connect the dots. Women become detached because of men’s cruelty and insensitivity, which is also what happens in sex work, like y’all are saying.

Sadia, I guess you don´t understand men´s psychology. I started going to prostitutes, when I became 33. It was never a problem to me, to get hot chicks into sex or a relationship with them, but with paying for the sexworkers, everything got much easier and quicker. Once a sexworker asked me, why I am paying for women/sex, she said I´m very good looking ( I worked during my university as a model) and I have a good sense of humor and as a consulter, I´m doing good money, so why pay and not do a relationship/marriage with one of the hot chicks I date ? I just said to her, that I didn´t pay for the sex. The directly said, that I just did it 5 minutes ago. I only smiled to her and said : " I paid for not having a stupid or uninteresting conversation before we had sex and that I can leave after finishing without listening to other endless uninteresting living-stories. She got it and laughed... Today, with 53, I quit using their services 6 years ago, but I´m still not interested in a relationship with todays stupid women (not in an intellectual way, more of behaviour). And my parents are still happily married for 54 years, so don´t come by a broken family...

Every man is paying for it one way or another. As long as you understand she is not yours, it’s just your turn, don’t get emotionally involved, you are only paying for your physical needs, then everything will be fine. Not everyone hires an escort is looking for a girlfriend or a relationship, actually it’s quite opposite.

There is so much condescension, moralism and prejudice in what she claims without any proof. Most prostitutes, especially escorts, do this job essentially for RATIONAL reasons. as a "regular" woman they simply noticed that most men only wanted them for sex (being a "girlfriend" does not automatically give you the benefit of an authentic, sincere, emotional, empathetic relationship! especially when we see the type of toxic relationship in which modern women get involved, allegedly out of "love"...), and rather than being an object of desire for nothing, they did it to earn a living . Most sexworkers are balanced women (much more than the majority of Western women and other "girlfriends") who know what they are doing and stop when they want. Clients are not one type of man, they are of all types and reasons, since times past men have "dated" "non-regular" women (legionaries, traders, adventurers, sailors...), even the men of ms Saadia's family. .. I am passing over the clients who would be these "emotionless" men, whereas it is precisely this type of man who most attracts regular women in modern societies, who see it as a way to live out their Drama... Sexworker dont care about drama, that's what you meant by "disconnected from emotions", I think...
