So Shazam definitely was the first DC movie I have liked in a long time. It managed to get what Marvel 'sSuper hero movies get right every time... Heartbreak, friendship, working together/unity, adventure and a bit of humour.

@@Existentialprophet First of all, the director's name is David F. Sandberg and although he's a somewhat new guy on the scene look him up next time before you make light of his career. "Shazam!" Is an underdog victory for the character and the director. Also, David F. Sandberg's "Annabelle: Creation" helped push The Conjuring franchise past the 1 billion dollar mark. Secondly, there is a reason I didn't put Wonder Woman in the same discussion as Aquaman and Shazam. In no way, shape, or form did I consider Wonder Woman an underdog film, Wonder Woman is amongst the most popular DC characters that DC has to offer and the formula for a triumphant film was already there: established character in 1 film, female empowering symbol, first of it's kind in that department in modern day comic book films, etc. And thirdly, Shazam was a lower budget film and on a smaller scale but how does that translate to the cast and director not working hard on the project? Unless you were there and can confirm they were half assing this project don't down play a crews work ethic. In my opinion the crew put it in work and the movie being a success is their reward. So yeah, Aquaman and Shazam (made fun of and lesser known characters) having successful movies makes my DC fan boy heart happy. Underdog victories 🔱⚡.

Zachery Levi was perfect for this movie(he is a kid at heart) or any...what I loved the most family...love...having eachother backs...and the movie itself did not take it that SERIOUS or dark...I laughed especially the first half hour of the movie...the end with the family...was definitely not expecting Adam brody and Meagan Good❤❤ You had to throw that last part 😁😁😁 Definitely Combo Price especially if you compare it to many other DC movies...expect aquaman and wonder woman...

Was absolutely AMAZING, it’s definitely my favourite dc movie and tbh it beats ALOT of marvel movies!, it was probably the best movie of 2019 (apart from endgame, even though it’s not out I KNOW it’s going to be amazing)

Jack Dylan Grazer was indeed spot on for Freddy Freeman. I love how you compared it to early 2000s family films that were released near Thanksgiving/Christmas. I did feel that from the movie. You know The Grinch, The first Harry Potter film, etc. Excluding the violent/horror-esque boardroom scene, Shazam comfortably fits with those movies.

I love that scene where billy gets his powers so much. If you’ve ever seen Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam, it’s almost shot for shot the same scene. It really makes it feel like the creators care about source material and knowing the character they’ve developed.

I went and saw this during a early fan screening and this is one of the best dc movies of all time. This felt like a marvel movie with the balance of tones. My favorite thing about the movie was that they had the child billy deal with adult issues like what happened with his mom and had the adult billy/Shazam deal with what every kid’s dream of if they were older and was the humor of the movie.

I just Watched this and i really enjoyed all the comedy and humor and tropes done in it. It is really refreshing to get a good vibe while watching a DC movie now a days. My only complain from this is that i wish they had more action moments, specifically serious action moments. Cause there were times i was hoping to see a cool fight but it constantly got side tracked for a joke moment. Just wish they kept that a little more balance but over all still an enjoyable movie.
