I remember this commode and the black tile. It’s much easier to keep clean now I’m sure. I suggest you steer clients like this to one of the programs like Clean Mama or Flylady so they can create order in their own world once you start them off clean and lovely, and don’t take away an opportunity for some other more troubled person or family. Of course you’ve done a beautiful job for them as usual!

Looks great Barbie! I was able to get my friends stove clean on the top of those individual circle cap things on top of the burners. Three of them were light blue and one was black. I thought that was the color, until I started scrubbing it and it was also light blue, Lol. I used steel wool and the razor scraper and with some time and strength and persistence it finally came clean! I think oven cleaner would have been quicker!

You are working so hard. Here's a tip for stove: always have tall bucket for soaking. Put stove burners in with very hot water and your choice of degreaser, vinegar, dish detergent, ammonia. Do this when you first get there, also put oven cleaner in oven. This saves you time and effort.

I used to use scrapers at my old job. The one you were using on that stove top would only last about a wee before they went in the trash. The best ones have a peg that holds the blade in place.
@donnathomas9437 Жыл бұрын
Nice job, Barbie. I,ve heard you can spray the burner grates and oven racks with ammonia{ probably full strength} and place them in a garbage bag. Close it up tightly and leave it till the end. It is suppose to loosen the dried on black stuff. Probably you would want to do it outside.

What is extra thick bleach gel? Is it called that on the bottle?
@butterflybaby4292 жыл бұрын
@@mimosa27 yes, Clorox sells it, the cover says thick coating formula and also says clinging bleach gel. It is used for the toilet but works on rust, stains, hard water, and even to whiten grout.

I just used Walmart store brand spray bleach cleaner, just over $2. a bottle, ( not called bath cleaner) yesterday on white shower grout and it worked amazingly well. I sprayed it on the grout heavily, then left it there at least 30 minutes. After cleaning the other areas, I looked in the shower and was thrilled to see the black mold was gone! I rinsed it away leaving an amazing white shower. It hadn't been that for a long time. I had tried many cleaners that said they were for mold and mildew, but none of them worked. This one being specifically a bleach cleaner did the job. Try it. Good luck!

The last time I cleaned my sister's stove I used ammonia, I know it stinks and you have to be in a well-ventilated room, but it sure beats scrubbing until your fingers are sore. Her stove would be black with burned on grease very much like the one you cleaned in this video. What I did was pour straight ammonia in the burner wells, then I'd take paper towels and lay it on top, then I'd take a heavy duty garbage bag and lay that on top to keep the ammonia from drying out, then I'd go do something else and let it sit an hour or more, you'd be amazed at how much less scrubbing you'll have to do. For the grates I'd put them in a heavy-duty plastic bag, pour ammonia in the bag (half a cup, seal the bag, put the bag in a cardboard box just so the bag doesn't break as you move it around) and put it aside and let the ammonia fumes do the hard work. After everything soaks wash with hot soapy water, you may have to scrub some really tough areas, but it will be a lot less scrubbing and scraping.

This is a You Tube Video of my favorite "Hob Scraper". Yes, I had to order it from the UK (I have not watched this video so maybe you can get it here now), but it is far and above any scraper I have used in my 55 years of cleaning of homes. Recently, our plumber put in a new kitchen sink for us, and had the old sealer to remove. I was watching him and said STOP! lol Gave him my scraper, and he said "If this is missing when I leave, you know where it went!" I had a few others so I told him to take it. It is awesome. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3Stn4aQqNuro80
