Some say you need to persevere in faith or faithfulness until you die to be assured of eternal salvation. Therefore, you really are not sure until you die. The unanimous consent of early Christians was that a person is capable of losing salvation by committing a grave sin without repentance as John spoke about in 1.John 5:16-17.

The believing thief on the cross received eternal life the moment he believed on Jesus Christ. It seems that Jesus also wanted him to have full assurance of it when He said to him, Today, thou shalt be with me in Paradise.

The thief also did not believe in the death, burial and res. of Christ, so does that mean we do not have to either? Jesus said in Luke 24:47 that repentance and remission of sins to be preached in his name would begin in Jerusalem, this happens in Acts 2, the thief had been dead a very long time...

Well according to GES, after you have been saved, you can do whatever you want and you will still be saved. GES believes you can "walk in darkness", 1 John 1:6 and you can walk after the flesh, Romans 8, you can " Depart from the faith and give heed to doctrine of demons", 1 Timothy 4:1 and that you can have " an evil unbelieving heart that causes you to FALL AWAY FROM THE LIVING GOD, Heb 3:12 and heaven will still be your home. Commit adultery, fornication, lie, steal, murder and never repent or confess your sins.....GES says that you can do so 24/7/365 and heaven will still be your home, OSAS.....

You sin a whole bunch , don't you ? So do I , and every other mere human ever , according to Scripture . Bible clearly states that one transgression disqualifies one from Kingdom entrance . So , Kingdom entrance is predicated on a PERFECT RIGHTEOUSNESS that must "exceed that of the Scribes and Pharisees" who look to their Perseverance in Performance (works) as a metric for Kingdom entrance . Wrong criteria (Ephesians 2:8-9 ; Romans 3:20-5:11,11:6,29 ; Titus 3:5 ; Philippians 3:9) . It's a really GOOD thing Jesus took our place as the Perfect Propitiation for all the sins ever committed , or NONE of us would ever make it into His Kingdom . You deny His PERFECT work of Redemption when you posit behavioral performance (works) as the Decisive factor in one's Everlasting destination . Contradictory to Every conceivable Evangelistic/Everlasting Life Eternal Justification before God passage in the Bible . Working for and earning/meriting/being paid for/being rewarded with/DESERVING the Free , Unmerited , Unearned , Never Deserving Gift of Endless Everlasting Life cannot make sense to a little child , or anyone else who is truly invested in the pursuit of Objective Truth . Yet , your entire affirmation reduces to just such demonstrable absurdity . Looks like you think your behavior (works) is BETTER than Free Gracers, and others , with ZERO way of actually knowing that . "Noone is good but God alone" , Jesus plainly stated . And you ain't God , dude . So , you're stuck in an insuperable dilemma . You can delude yourself with thinking your "Stuff don't stink THAT bad!!!" , and when you hit the Finish Line , see what Grade is on your behavioral Report Card . Or , you can rest in His doubtless Guarantee of irrevocable Everlasting Life simply by childlike faith in Him FOR it: John 1:12-13,3:1-18,4:1-39,5:24,6:28-47, 10,11:23-27,20:31 ; Acts 16:31 ; 1 Timothy 1:16 ; Galatians 2:16,3:26 ; 1 John 5:1,10-13 . Totally apart from taking Credit/Meriting/Working for/Deserving the Free and utterly Gracious Gift : Ephesians 2:8-9 ; Romans 3:20-5:11,11:6,29 ; Titus 3:5 ; Philippians 3:9 ; book of Galatians . Your message Utterly Ooozes with Self Righteous arrogance borne of self idolatry that takes away the Glory due to the One who Finished all the work of Redemption that His Free and Never Deserving Gift of Endless Life can indeed be without Cost to all who "thirst for the Water of Life"(John 4:10-14) .

Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone AND TO BE HOLY, WITHOUT HOLINESS NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD. 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 IN FLAMING FIRE TAKING VENGEANCE ON them that know not God, AND THAT OBEY NOT the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ 9WHO SHALL BE PUNISHED WITH EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power. 1 Corinthians 10:21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription “The Lord knows those who are his, and, “EVERYONE WHO CONFESSED THE NAME OF THE LORD MUST TURN AWAY FROM WICKEDNESS.” Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him being abominable and disobedient, and unto every good work. 1 John 2:4 He that saith I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

@@beautifulllstars GES is very patient and open for debate as they are very confident of their faith in Christ and theology. You’ll see Calvinist sites that block comments and Catholic channels that have an army of people ready to rebuke any contrary comment with wrong theology. GES is very open and not defensive about their beliefs.
