Buffalo is made by Japan vendor, thus should be much more secure than made in China and even made in Taiwan ones. Many Chinese in Taiwan are more loyal to China than to Taiwan.

I have three. Two TS-XL/R5 and one TS5410D and they are good and quite. Once I go over 100 TB of space I will go away from These, but until then I will Stick with these.
