I remember long ago when I told my Dad that all I wanted to do was sew, sew, sew. After that, I had medical issues and decided to retire a few years early to have a big surgery. Now I’m able to sew and embroider as much as I want! 💗

Hi Delilah 😊. I totally agree that family can be very excited about your sewing abilities. My son, asks me the most to sew. “Hey mom can you make me a tool holder.” “ hey mom can you fix my zipper.” “Hey Mom can you sew me two horse blankets 😳”. He always has a project for me and he’s genuinely so grateful and uses what a make. My husband too and my son in law as well. They ask me to sew the most. My daughter and daughter in law rarely ever ask. Isn’t that funny. And I love it. It makes me feel so good to be able to provide them with a skill they can’t do. I get a lot of joy sharing it with them.

My little grandson absolutely loves the pajamas I make for him. His mom, my daughter, never seemed to care about the lovely clothes I made her growing up, although I always had to hem her jeans.

Hi Deliah, I couldn't agree with you more about feeling some of us start something then start another project, possibly without finishing the first project. When I finish a project completely, I sometimes doubt myself that the product came out 100 % to my liking. I do however, enjoy making tumblers, sublimation projects and I am a beginner at machine embroidering. I also enjoy watching your videos. :-)

I just sewed my first collar with collar stand. Always been intimidated, but I just decided not to be afraid to try something new and it looks great! Now I want to make them all the time.

I made some collard shirts with the stand for my little girl and loved how it turned out! I know the feeling, i agree that is a great skill to accomplish as you have to have the stand and the collar come together just right and when you do ....its a masterpiece! 😊

Thank you for your video/message. I was raised by great aunts and they thought me to sew at an early age. At 74, I still like to see. However, I was given an embroidery machine. I’ve had to watch a hundred videos to learn how. (Not too savvy w USB’s, downloading, thread counts and needles, which it didn’t come with hoops, etc.) Nevertheless, I am so very excited to try! You have inspired me! Thank you!!!

I do love to sew, but sometimes my lack of organization slows me down. I really need to work on this problem ! And I've found that when I do start a project I don't like to stop and I'll work at it for long periods of time when I can. Over the years I've sewn costumes for school plays, masks of course and also items for local animal shelters as far as community contributions. Delilah, would you share the valentine cat embroidery pattern that you stitched on the video? So cute !

You might be right? I don't create disney shirts and The fabric I buy is licensed so I thought I would be covered by that but you're right its the same concept of embroidering disney and selling it, I don't think you can.

So after work, I'm on the machine. Oh and @craftymom9649 I'm also new to embroidery, got a new machine for Christmas that I can sew with and embroider. Sew much fun!
