In Linux opening blender is just works all the time while on windows sometimes you need to update your graphics driver and if your using Wacom tablet, sometimes you need to restart. Imagine restarting your PC while working on a texture because the pen pressure isn't working

been using Linux for years . my windows 10 was garbage , hanging all the time even after new install

Well I'm still a windows slave, but as I've said I will 100% use it for big project rendering, cuz if I, for example, need to render something out and change something I can do that 30% faster on Linux. So yeah

I used mint (Cinnamon Edition) cuz it's very easy to navigate as a inexperienced linux user (it is very similar to windows) and it's just great for beginners, so i'd highly recommend trying to out.
