I think the valve will remain open till defferential pressure is maintained 20 bar. Whenever there is a change in pressure either upstream or downstream the valve will close thus it maintains 20 bar pressure in the line. Is my understanding correct.

Control valve will not close becos the shut off pressure 40 bar is higher than 20 bar design oressure of the valve
