Yeah, like they should do an origin were Sidious had met gravest first before he passed him on to dooku. Only he would recognize his true potential. Then later, after grievous his death, I would imagine sidious still has some further use for him like he secretly cloned him while he cloned him back and returned after he was defeated by Vader. Like grieving is going to return the favor for him.

for a jedi who hasnt had a lightsaber duel since training a huge cyborg unnatural quick with 4 blades coming at you also a bunch of highly skilled droids with force pikes is honestly scary. Dooku was the separatist leader but the general was the face.

He was a Jedi killer, one who loved instilling fear even into their Order's more powerful Jedi. He was a General, one who most certainly struck fear into the hearts of the Republic, a tactician with a solid mind and capacity for leadership.

Genuinely one of the most formidable duelists ever. I always thought he was so cool as a kid, and even now I think he’s awesome. Just imagine if he was force sensitive. Admittedly his power would be limited from the lack of biological mass, but even just the slightest bit to enhance his senses and maybe let him use basic abilities like force push, pull, or choke.
@stop736

@@blacksabbath5300 I felt, and still feel, the same as you! I like his character, and there’s plenty more to him out there that’s really cool to read about if you’re into that kind of thing. The movies definitely don’t touch how big of a character he was. Being trained by Dooku in fighting with a lightsaber definitely made him really strong, force sensitive or not. He was so fast he was basically as quick as someone that is force sensitive! I’m such a nerd about him…😂. Star Wars in general honestly! I grew up seeing the original trilogy. But I love the prequels more and more every year! Because of characters like Grievous!

@@stop736 I’ve been recently getting back to it a little more. I just haven’t felt the same about Star Wars since Disney told us the best parts aren’t canon anymore and made so much garbage that feels like fanfic. But one detail I liked about grevious is I believe it was mentioned somewhere that between his training and cybernetics, he could break down the exact lightsaber form and specific use of it that his opponent was fighting with and essentially adjust to perfectly counter them by mimicking a counter form or using a style unlike traditional lightsaber forms. Just imagine how insane it would’ve been if they had made several models just like grevious. Like, what do you even do when there’s 5 grevious replica on the other side? No blaster bolt is touching that. Most jedi can’t fight one, much less multiple. Heavy artillery? He’s so fast he could likely avoid it. And then considering he’s mostly cybernetic, modified versions of that frame are a possibility too. Imagine a stealth variant that could be an assassin, a heavily armored cortosis frame, one with blasters and flame throwers, etc. I just think the non generic kind of cybernetic idea with him was underused in general.

Dooku was the embodiment of the old dog trying to learn new tricks. He is biased and has a pre-conceived style of his own. While this is good in some cases because he can understand a broader vision of The Force, it is also his main limitation because he cannot fully submerge himself into the dark side, which is basically do whatever needs to be done to gain power.

It certainly wouldn't change events any. I don't believe Grievous would love the idea of knowing Sidious was intending on throwing him away once the Clone Wars were over, but he's also smart enough to know that staying with the CIS is his best opportunity to do the only thing that he still lives for: burning down the republic and killing Jedi. Probably begrudgingly stays on and occasionally tests Sidious with bouts of insubordination where he can, but else wise still winds up dead by the end of the Clone Wars one way or another.

Makes sense as Grevious is the ultimate weapon of the Sith during the clone wars. Allowing Sidious and Dooku, through him to make use of a terrifying and brutal monster of war, committing atrocities left right and centre as he whittled down the ranks of the Jedi in the process of trying to lead the CIS to victory.

Maybe because unlike count Dooku and the other separatists council. Grievous acted out like his right hand, man. Because I have a lot in common they’re both unmerciful they’re both cowards they both have savage minds they don’t care about anyone but themselves . And at least grievous seems loyal to Sidious and doesn’t show any sympathy for dooku it’s like he doesn’t seem care whether he’s been betrayed or not. He doesn’t even care about Dooku either.

Palpatine would probably have altered his cybernetics so that no one recognize him and use him as one of his many shadow assassins . ( probably would've installed a self destruction device too ) Grievous is extremely convenient for palpatine as he is unrecognizable so while vader can be the day time terror that enforce the emperor's will , grievous could have been the false flag operator for either silencing the opposition while incriminating an other or straight up create a problem that only the empire can fix . He also serve as a jedi council master level fighter that is only devoted to him and can slaughter rebels as effectively as vader without the mobility problems .

Dooku and Vader were more similar than not. They were both elitists about the Force and those who wield it, they respected and were absolute masters of lightsaber combat, and they both hated cybernetics (yes, Vader abhorred the pain and claustrophobia his armor gave him. Plus his injuries had severely weakened his connection to the force). Palpatine on the other hand, had no other standard than power itself. He didn’t worshiped the Force in any way, he just saw it as a tool for power. So he knew that things like the Death Star and Grievous were extraordinary, even if they were not influenced directly by the force.

If I could revise Star Wars, it would be the following: Shmi is a Jedi, not some low slave. It is unnecessary since Luke's first spot light is on Tatooine. I would say Shmi is originally from Tatooine and that offers some sort of connection between Luke's uncle and Shmi. And I'll even make Shmi someone who came from slavery herself, but I wouldn't make her a slave as there is more material having her be a Jedi for why Anakin eventually leaves the Order or betrays it. I would make Padme a Sith and the apprentice of Sidious who defeats Tyranus. Not Anakin. Anakin is brought to the Dark Side first by seeing his mother get abandoned by the Jedi, then drawn closer to Padme in which she works with Sidious to push Anakin further from the Council even while his mother had previously made Anakin loyal to the Jedi. After falling in love with Padme and finding out she was a Sith and responsible for the death of his mother, he ends up choking her to the point that she is dying while in labor. This is when Anakin faces Obi-wan and loses while Padme gives birth. Effort to save Padme proves fruitless as the extent of the force utilized to break her windpipe is too severe and there is not enough time to put Padme in stasis so she can worked on in having a cloned replacement. She is barely able to use the force to sustain herself as she gives birth before she dies. It is the fact Anakin killed Padme that ultimately turns him to the Dark Side not the dream of losing her. He tries to honor her memory by turning to the Dark Side as she had done. It is his love for Padme and his regret for killing her that ties him too strongly to it as Darth Vader. Also it is defeating Grievous that required him to become cybernetic and become the Darth Vader we know. After Padme's death and Anakin becoming Darth Vader and Sidious's new apprentice, Grievous goes rogue as being a monster without Jedi to hunt makes him a threat that must be dealt with. However, Anakin cannot beat Grievous each time he encounters and barely survives, losing a limb and choosing a cybernetic replacement to better enhance his physical abilities to match the Droid General. Do know it was Grievous that hunted down many of the Jedi until the Inquisitor Program is established which wasn't intended by Vader to kill Jedi, but saving force sensitives them by making them useful for the Empire. I would keep Grievous as his 2003 self. He cannot use the force, which is his only weakness, but physically he will dominate any foe unless they exclusively rely on it. This is why Sidious speaks as he does about a light saber. I would also make it possible to regrow limbs instead of gaining a cybernetic, although it is possible to have a cybernetic limb, it is not an automatic replacement for one that is lost. Typically, you'll just have a new one grown and then attached to your body via surgery. It should be fine since it your own limb biologically identical as such. You have to choose to have cybernetic parts I would also keep the Clone Troopers but also include Storm Troopers as both are a necessary function for the Empire after it transitioned from the Republic. Heck, I would even include Battle Droids. There is a value in diversity given it is effective in having such a variety of soldiers. Clone troopers act as the commandos and type soldiers in a squad. The Storm Troopers are not as good, but don't have to be. It is sort of an open door to become better should you survive long enough, but since Storm Troopers are never on par with Clone Troopers, they always fall short of reaching that threshold, but this is never made apparent so the availability of Storm Troopers is always present and because it is an ever present occupation with the "promise" of a greater life in the Empire, there aren't as many rebellions and issues in the Empire. Droids provide functions that Storm Troopers and Clone Troopers are unable to do and are more expendable offering a false premise that Storm Troopers are protected and valued by the Empire as there is something beneath them. Just something so inexpensive to mass produce that it doesn't matter in the long scheme of things, only the trick of psychology placed on the masses that they matter and have a future if they serve the Empire. Talent in the Empire is always given an officer position rather than becoming an Enlisted Storm Trooper. Do know there are no enlisted doing any other job but being a Storm Trooper, they have droids to do everything else that related to what I had just stated. So there is also that quality of Starship Troopers in which you must become part of the military to gain citizenship, but if you don't have talent, you will become one of the infantry (which for the Empire are the Storm Troopers).
