I was baptized last year, September 2020 walked outside at 3:00 AM the morning after and looked up at the sky clouds rolling. The moon was full and bright beautiful morning, from horizon to horizon the clouds moved across the moon lit sky. Then in an instant they stopped, when I say stop it was like someone put the brakes on heaven stood still it lasted until I took a step forward and it began to move again. The next morning 8:00 am my bowels had turned to water. I am 55 and have never had diarrhea and this was water, after that for 5 months I waked in sort of transcendental state. I lost all of my long term memory overnight and everything I looked at if it were living had a glow especially in the eye. If it were concrete or something not living it had a numerical representation of some type, (unless like a flower it had a numerical meaning) I am not a spiritual person but I have always believed in god. I lost 20 pounds and my hair turned at least three shades whiter in the space of a few months. Anything with a pattern was numerical, the numbers in someway were words.. Lights were 10 times brighter than they are now. Peoples eyes had small rectangles of light instead of pupils almost like they had a mini projector in the eye projecting a screen on the face of the eye. I saw in the eye of some total blackness no pupil total black but it shined like some black glass marble. I saw more than I can write three books on, I had dreams as it were inside dreams. I saw colors that have no color, I heard sounds that were not sounds.. Sings and wonders, somewhere in the bible it talks about a guy name Ezikiel he saw some wheels and colors and he sat for several days astonished. If he sat for seven days for what he saw in a few hours in surprised I lived through it. One thing I remember is total and complete fear at times when I say terrified I mean trembling. The orders of magnitude of power were so incomprehensible to me that I felt like less than dust or dirt I would have felt good thinking I was even a worm. The only thing I could say they gave me any relief was hallelujah.

So you are in agreement with Bill that Jesus had to be born again and that Jesus was not God, just a man rightly related to God?Because if Jesus was God when he performed the miracles he did, then that means we cannot perform the same miracles as Jesus did as Bill said. This leads to this question. Is there any miracle greater than one who becomes born again? Spiritually dead, now alive in Christ? That should be the focus. How many people have been resurrected by any of these so called apostles? How many have walked on water? How many have been crucified on a Roman cross for the atonement for sin? According to these so called self proclaimed apostles we are to do greater works than Jesus.

That is not true. Jesus performed miracles so that the people will believe in Him. That was the whole point. So that the world will believe that He is the Son of God (John 10:38). Jesus was rejected by His people even after all the miracles he performed to prove to them He is the Christ. He sent us the Holy Spirit to do what? To remind us of everything he taught us (Word) and to comfort us in a challenging world. Take up your cross and follow him and trust the Sovereignty of our Lord.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, "Verily, verily I say unto thee that except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Accept Jesus as your savior, repent of sin, ask the Holy Spirit to indwell you and baptize you with power from on high, and then dwell in the Word of God, praying in tongues as often as possible. You will hear the Holy Spirit and when you hear the Holy Spirit obey and be led by the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit minister through you. It is not your ministry. It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit being ministered through you. Don't pursue a life of miracles. Obey and follow the Holy Spirit that dwells in you. Then people will be healed, delivered, helped, blessed and become born again.

Jesus is the will of The Father. His actions, His lifestyle. " As He is ( now ) , so are we, in this world." 1 John 4 Jesus kept God's commands. Psalms 19 Tha law of the Lord is perfect. God's laws are Eternal and perfect. They Came From Heaven and nothing from Heaven gets deleted. Psalms 119: 44 I will keep your law forever and ever. Isaiah 2 speaks of God's law during the millennial reign of Jesus. In Matthew 5 Jesus says that not one jot or tittle of the law is done away with. We walk this out in action and in The spirit of the law." Paul explains this by taking Torah and making it useful for every day of Our Lives. His example was, "you will not muzzle the mouth of an ox as it's grinding at the mill" Paul says that this is not speaking only of an ox is it? Jesus came and did the laws that he was to do perfectly because the law of the Lord is perfect. Psalms 19 He didn't abolish one laws because they're perfect. Until Heaven and Earth have passed away, not one jot or tittle of the law is done away. In Matthew 5 Yeshua, Jesus says that anyone who removes and teaches against the law is removing his place in the Kingdom. He says that the ones who teach the retracting of his laws will be least in the Kingdom. Paul speaks of it as making it to Heaven as but as by fire. We keep all kinds of laws anyways. But to say that the law is done away with is ignorance of the word. 2nd Timothy 3:16 all scripture. All scripture is for instruction This is why Yeshua, Jesus said " depart from me ,you workers of lawlessness. Not one jot or tittle of the law is done away with." Right from the beginning God said "it's not too hard to keep my laws of life. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God's laws are too hard. Traditions of men. Talmudic laws of Jesus day by Pharisees ,made the law of God of none effect. Man shall not live by food alone but by every word that precedes from God's mouth My prayer is to see signs and wonders confirming God's perfect laws. I love Bill's Ministry and I believe that as he recognizes that not one jot or tittle of the law is done away with and that we are keeping the spirit of the law perfectly and that as in the millennial reign of Yeshua spoken of in Isaiah 66, Zechariah and so many prophetic chapters we will be keeping the feasts of God and his law forever and ever because in them there is eternal life. It's easy to place far too much confidence in signs and wonders as tools to bring people to faith in Jesus. The problem isn't that the signs are themselves weak, but that "a wicked and adulterous generation seeks after them". The Bible gives repeated examples of those who saw remarkable signs, yet did not believe.

1Corinthians 2:5, “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God..”(KJV) This verse is not a supportive verse to conclude that “in the power of God”, means signs, wonders & miracles. But, we do see in the scriptures God working through Paul in signs, wonders & miracles; no doubt about that. This verse, tells us more than anything else that, preaching strategies entered on the wisdom of men - around emotion, entertainment, and human personality - may yield response, but not results for the kingdom of God. If someone’s faith is in the wisdom of men, and not the power of God; if someone can be persuaded into the kingdom by human wisdom, they can also be persuaded out of the kingdom by human wisdom. And so, Paul was determined to totally rely on the power of God to draw people to the Saviour, not his own abilities as a preacher! Paul was certainly a man who could reason and debate persuasively, but he didn’t use that approach in preaching the gospel. He made a conscious decision (“I determined”- verse 2) to put the emphasis on Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Paul was an ambassador, not a salesman.

Good question Adam. I suggest you ask Jesus why he almost always USED prophesy, signs and wonders as part of his methods to reach people. Why does it have to be either/or? To be "Christ- like", as you suggest and I agree, means precisely to DO things LIKE Christ Did does it not? "He had compassion on the crowds and healed them". Putting your neighbors needs before your own fear of failure and looking foolish if they are not healed with you pray for them. Let us love like Jesus loved, Let us minister like Jesus ministered! I'm giving myself to pursue that. It's not easy and it feels humiliating to the flesh at times. But people know I care for them and that hear that God's loves them when i pray for them.

Maybe about 4K ministry students per year being schooled on utilizing the prophetic, built up in faith to minister supernatural miracles to the world has something to do with it. Maybe Bethel music dominating the worship scene has something to do with it. Maybe a cultural shift in the church toward the experiential has something to do with it. Maybe a presence culture believing that God's very presence will produce miracles on the spot has something to do with it. Maybe the call to empower EVERY believer, not just a few select leaders, has something to do with it. Maybe a radical call for Kingdom generosity has something to do with it. Maybe a church that actually believes Paul's teaching in I Cor 14, calling the entire church to pursue prophecy has something to do with it. Maybe visible signs and wonders like gold dust, feathers, and clouds has something to do with it.

Now, I did a little research (after ascending from my cave) and here's what I got: " Bethel Redding has become associated with certain phenomena that are interpreted by the leadership and the congregation as manifesting the presence and glory of God. The phenomena include the appearance of “glory clouds” and gold dust and “angel feathers” falling from the ceiling (or perhaps from the ventilation system). Some of the phenomena, such as the “angel feathers,” are easy to critique. Nowhere does the Bible say that angels have feathers. Rather, angels are spiritual beings and most often appear as men. To assert that feathers falling from the ceiling must be evidence of angels nearby is absurd. Likewise, in the Bible, whenever the glory of God was manifest, the universal response was fear and conviction (see Isaiah 6). The response of those in the Bethel movement is usually wonder mixed with excitement, dancing, and recording it with cell phone cameras. While these particular phenomena are never mentioned in the Bible and are somewhat eccentric, they are not the main problem at Bethel. Your conclusion is from critics who interpret Jesus through the OT instead of the other way around. When were people overwhelmed with fear and conviction in the presence of Jesus? The were DRAWN for the most part due to His compassion, healing, and love. The OT conveys transcendence. The NT conveys immanence, both true of God. Why choose the OT over the New? God is fully capable of manifesting exactly how He wants to manifest, bringing great sorrow or great joy. It is the time of JOY.

Juhani Pitkäkari Your facetious comment shows you know nothing about this man, his ministry and God’s desire for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry. Read Ephesians 4 and Hebrews 5:11-6:8 and a host of other passages to learn that an effective pastor must actually build on the milk of the gospel to produce mature, meat eating saints. That the church in the west has lost its saltiness and is trampled under foot by men is proof that evangelical pastors and theologians have failed the last two generations by not knowing how go beyond milk to serve meat. As if that were no bad enough, many have built an entire theology to justify such malpractice. Thank you Bill for preaching the whole counsel of the word of God.
