Note: - don't sit between the shade and the sun - sniff water upon the nostrils 3x - pray fajar on time - don't walk/wear one shoes and one barefoot - dust the bed before sleeping while saying bismillah

Interesting hadith. Never heard it before. I remember a couple of times sitting in between the shade and the light on a bench and I felt really weird both times amd never did it again. I never knew why. Its interesting to note that in satanic belief systems, there is a concept of "light and dark" being on an equal footing, they believe that Good and bad is all the same, trying to get everyone into their "gray area" through their agenda's to confuse people and get them away from Allah. I thought even symbolically this hadith was interesting in the sense that shaytaan sits in between the light and the dark, almost metaphorically saying to never ever "sit" in the gray area in your lifestyle, it will confuse you and you will go astray. The right way has been made clear from the wrong way so stay on the clear path.

Guys pls don’t tell me we actually believe this 😂 I mean this just sounds like a bunch of nonsense, no?? I’m not trying to be offensive or anything but seriosuly - I cannot sit in between shade and sunlight?? Also why do we trust the hadiths when they were written decades and generations after prophet mohommed peace be upon him was alive. Doesn’t this make the hadiths an unreliable source for our knowledge of Islam, because the Quran says that passing down information by writing makes it viable, but passing information down my listening and telling someone else this info is unreliable. I think the hadiths even say themselves that not everything it says is completely true. Again this isn’t supposed to be offensive by any means - please research this up urselves and correct me if I’m wrong on anything 😊

Belief must be based on understanding and not blind faith. If blind faith is in principle belief then we can follow any religion without proof. Refer to Surah 2 verse 260 and Surah 9 verses 30-31.

Musnad Ahmad 15421: Narrated Abu Ayyad from a man among the companions of the prophet: the prophet forbade sitting between the sun and the shade. He said: “It is the seat of the Shaitan”. [1] Hadith Grade: (Sahih) according to Al-albani (Sahih) according to Shuayb Arnaut Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When one of you awakens from his sleep, then let him perform ablution and sniff water into his nose three times. Verily, Satan spends the night in the upper part of his nose.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3121, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 238 Narrated 'Abdullah: It was mentioned before the Prophet that there was a man who slept the night till morning (after sunrise). The Prophet said, "He is a man in whose ears (or ear) Satan had urinated (in)." [Sahih Bukhari, Book 54, Hadith 492] Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “None of you should walk wearing one shoe; you should either wear them both or take them off both.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
