The single most important item in a skincare routine (am), is spf. A lot of people tend to forget that. It's way harder to fix sun spots (etc) than to prevent them

I've gotten my routine down to 3 things: Cetaphil cleanser, tretinoin, and tallow balm. My skin has never looked better and I'm frequently mistaken to be younger than I am.

Teen in the 80’s. Cuticura soap was still around and did help with acne. Started using spf daily in the 90’s when Olay added it as a daily lotion. I still use the Walmart version of it everyday. The best part of getting older was losing the acne! Will take my crows feet any day lol. Use an inexpensive retinol at night and a mild scrub every morning. Best old school product you can still find is queen helene cocoa butter body lotion. Used after a daily shower it keeps your skin smooth! About $5 at my local dollar store.

I was a teen in the seventies. When I got that first case of acne, my mom got me a bar of Cuticura soap. Worked a treat and I had good skin all the way through those acne-prone years. Haven’t seen it in years.

I’m a little bit of both. I love classic skincare because it was simpler, and it paved the way for what skincare is now. As for new skincare, I love how much more science is involved, I just don’t like how excessive everyone has become about it. I love skincare, but I don’t buy the newest stuff simply because Sephora carries it.

Also for all the Ponds lovers, they have multiple foaming cleaners online. I cannot find them stores. One is a charcoal and one is for blemishes. They also have a small tube of a color correcting cream with myristic acid I found at CVS 😊 I have used before and they are nice, I have just simplified my routine down to products I personally love and will use regularly since finding them a few years ago.

I remember when skin care was fairly simple, I did my beauty training about 25 years ago, there was all those expensive brands but it was fairly basic. Cleanse, tone, moisturizer. U had add on sales which was eye cream, neck cream. Then there was the inclusion of the same product line in body cream, lip treatment, hand cream. I do all this but I do have treatments but I also love training devices on your skin that train the muscles. Just a great video!!!! Thanks ❤❤❤

I like the less is more skincare routine of yesteryear but the products are so hard to find today. I can still find the small blue German tin of Nivea crème in the shops, I am using that, it's lovely, I'm delighted to hear you say it may fade dark spots, I welcome that. I managed to find the classic Crowe's Cremine cleanser online. As for settling for what's on offer today in my local shops I use cleansers made by Lush (the Ultrabland) and Japanese cleansers, I'm using a foaming wash by Curel. I want to try the Japanese sunscreens that function as a moisturiser. I have tried a sunscreen by Paula's Choice, it was good.

Neutrogena face wash is great followed with Cetaphil face moisturizer with spf15 are my go to. For makeup remover and face cleanser Dickenson's witchhazel soothing cleansing cloths. Still keep and use ponds cold cream when needed. Vaseline is always in my stash and has many uses. My 3 favorite body moisturizers: Nivea cream is a staple in my stash along with Curel in a pumpand Derma E body moisturizer in a tube. I also use Jason apricot face scrub about once a month. I'm 63 and have very few facial wrinkles. People often comment on how I dont have wrinkles. I always sunglasses and a wide brim hat when out in the Sun.

Fun video, great job. I do want to point out that we have been lied to about sunscreens, skin cancer rates exploded after people started using sunscreen (rhe chemical ones). Titanium dioxide and iron oxide are fine, those are sunblock. Sumscreen on the other hand experiences a reaction when it comes into contact with UV rays and becomes carcinogenic.
