For everyone saying that the businesses need the lot I'll have you know that this lot is VACANT. There are currently no businesses in the lot. The SINGLE sign, I'll have you know that wasn't obstructed came ONLY from one entrance WHICH THEY BLOCKED OFF WITH A CONE SO YOU COULDN'T ENTER THAT WAY TO SEE IT. They Failed to mention that. Do business and keep the receipt? There are no businesses. Each one in the next plaza have their own parking lot designated for their area. No one parked in front of or next to the working businesses. If they want to make it an enforced area they could have posted their signage on the light poles INSIDE the vacant unused area. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing. Hiding signs and amassing all of their vehicles to attack the area and up charging in hopes it would keep people from pressing charges or hope that they couldn't pay it and they can go and resell the cars which couldn't be bailed out. This company did not have insurance while they broke and damaged vehicles and stole money inside the cars. You have no idea the hell we have been through over this blood money scam.

They did this many years ago. Especially the Tow Guys. They’ll have a spotter with a radio or on the phone. Once someone parks and walks away that spotter will notify one of their drivers around the corner to tow it immediately as you are walking away from your vehicle.

These people are parking in a private parking lot meant to serve those businesses at that lot. Those businesses pay rent to have a parking lot to serve their customers. If the lot is full then their own customers/potential customers have no where to park. Every adult should understand this concept. Just because there is an event at Sunset Park doesn't mean someone gets the automatic right to park in someone else's private lot. So apparently these businesses must ensure that every parking spot ha its own signage.

Tow-away signs at shopping centers, apartment complexes, etc. are pretty standard now. The question is where was this Ren Fen being held and how much on-site parking did the host property have? Usually Ren Fen type events are held at fairgrounds or ski resorts during the summer so there’s plenty of parking.

The first year I tried "going" to the Ren Festival I decided to head home after looking for a parking spot for an hour without luck. Followed the arrows indicated and saw the towing signs and no parking signs and decided it wasn't worth it. The next year we decided to go, we actually did our research and went early. They also have handicap parking available right near the main entrance. Don't blame the event for your inability to read and just follow what you see others doing. If your car gets towed, that's on you.

LVRenFaire's site lists the schools where you can park your car and take the free shuttle to and from the event. The busses run continuously from open to close.

The problem that with that is when the car is on a street it is on public city property when the car is in a parking lot it is on private property and business owners get tired of people parking in their spaces that are not going to the stores that are in that parking lot and they want that shit towed away I used to be a tow truck driver that did this for a living so the car is on a city street the city has to have it towed not a private owner it's not parking lot that is privately owned and is towed by the property owner

Why would you boycott the Renaissance Fair for this? They have no control over the commercial parking lots where the towing was happening, and went out of their way to provide plenty of parking and free shuttle services to auxiliary parking. Anyone parking in these commercial lots was just being lazy.

On Friday I met the Tow truck company owner at a park on Maryland Parkway and wigwam as he was metal detecting and told me they towed 200+ cars. This event also did not accept cash payment for entry, News should have advised the public this. Just imagine people who got towed showing up expecting to go to event by payong cash only to be denied.

All of the official event parking was free, including the shuttle services to auxiliary parking. It's true they didn't take cash for tickets at the gate, but that was just for entry into the fair itself and was posted all over the place and on their web site.

This is one of the two times a year I use public transit to get to my event. Because parking is so horrible, the event sets up shuttle rides from a more remote location. You get dropped off right at the gate instead of hiking miles. Our cost was $6.00 round trip.

Again, there was no parking inside the park unless you were handicapped. All parking areas inside park were reserved for handicapped unless you parked all the way in the back by the Pond. So over 500 parking spots reserved for handicapped parking only. Remember you can not pay cash for tickets to enter the event, you must use 3rd party unsafe app online to purchase tickets. NEWS never reported this.

This just isn't true. I parked at sunset Park near the tennis courts this year. Only a few of the closer lots were designated as ADA. They also had free shuttle services from Del Sol and the nearby middle school. If you didn't know where to park you weren't paying attention.

For several years illegal Parkers have been towed. This is old news but there should be more parking available because you can't get any parking next to the two schools in last year they had parking at the sports complex on Las Vegas Boulevard and they had big tour buses that provided shuttle service to the Renaissance Festival. But if you've been going there for several years you know better than to park anywhere in that area

When I went on 10/13, police shoed off multiple tow trucks and told them they will get arrested if they towed any vehicles away due to inadiquit parking for the event and they were the closest parking. The officer also told the trucks that there is inadiquit signage and what they are doing could warrent a investigation for fraud and theft. How do I know? Because the guy was about to tow a car away and chewed the truck out in front of everyone.

That shooping center is barely even open. Most of the complex has empty units, with a very small number of them not being open. If anything most of the customers there were from the renfair. Police were also shooing tow trucks away thretening arrest if they picked up vehicles. No business was effected, if anything they made a lot of money during the renfair.

When the parking lot is full, Vegas culture is to park around an event or in spots where you're not blocking anyone. This comes from being in a city where local events hardly ever have enough parking. To be fair once your in Vegas long enough you pick up on this.
