I completed 12th now so this video is got to be too helpful for me .... The problem among engineering students is that they don't know what's happening outside the world and how it's working . Their thinking mentality is like if we go to college we'll be in a good job with good salary but the reality is totally different that they didn't even imagined. No one telling them the reality neither school nor college . Students must know degrees are just a course like online course engineering courses only have basic & fundamental rather than not giving knowledge to get place in a company so they've to do more research, gain knowledge, should choose a domain they like and gain knowledge about that domain. Cracking only college cources won't help you enough but it's important . If u studying in a good college you may get placed in a company but it won't last (if only with college course)

In my opinion, the problem with engineering students is that they don't know what's happening outside campus or how the world works. The student perception generally is that if I go to college, I will get a good job with a good salary, but the reality is different. Neither school nor college informs them of the reality. Students must be aware of the fact that the job market values degrees from colleges the same as any online course. Engineering courses are focused on teaching you the fundamentals of domains and not about your employment opportunities, so the students have to learn the existing domain options and explore the domain of their choice. Successful completion of a degree from college will not provide you with all the knowledge, but I feel it is also important. Completing a degree from a renowned college may help you get a job, but in the long run, it is your performance and skills that are going to ensure your job security.

It is simply a demand supply issue. In a single year 15 lakh engineers pass out and 2.5 lakh engineers get jobs and this number is a big number in itself. Only 16% of all Indian students study engineering, 84% (nearly 2 crore students) study non-engineering courses like BA, BSc and BCom.

In India,Engineering degree en composes with sixty Four subjects in forty eight month of span. Each subject has only 1.3 month time to learn in college. university expects very intelligent students only as per their education planning. our society is under developed in its capability, To master any subject it needs minimum 15 month time to learn thoroughly. Freshers are very pathetic in this situation. we found many educational business man. There is no caring Leaders.

Main reasons for unemployed engineers are 1. Lack of industry, govt, defense & academia collaboration & coordination in designing courses. 2. Too many low quality engineering colleges. Close them down if they fail to meet quality standards. 3. Very less knowledge on inter disciplinary subjects like social sciences, finance, humanities, law etc apart from engg subjects with students. 4. Person who scores consistently well in maths & science from class 5 onwards above average 80% minimum should only aspire for engineering. 5. Not able to qualify/pass the GATE exam.

% is not the right metric. The engineer % of population is very high. For example, out of 100, 70 are engineers. When it comes to 1 lakh, 80k are engineers. And 20k get decent jobs and 5k get excellent jobs. Hence jobs are more in Engineering sector, with majority in IT. Wrong metric which is popularised and people misunderstand.
