The tiny bottles are my favorite of your finds. I thought about you two while watching another KZbin channel that had a pair of peacocks on their property. I yelled out, “Shwoos!” :) My favorite part of these mudlarking videos is the round up at the end with the history and you two all cozy inside. I love seeing which animal is sitting behind the window and always want you guys to let them in. I think your bouquet of pheasants will be tame soon and you’ll have to give them pet names, too. ;)

The little bottles held contact lenses up until the mid 1990s . They had a rubber stopper and a metal cap was crimped over the top to seal them in place. Of course they were probably used for lots of other purposes. As an eye doc I opened thousands of them. If you have a local optometrist who is about 60 years old (give or take) they might still have the hand held crimper pliers, metal caps, rubber stoppers and could quickly seal up all kinds of goodies in your little bottles. What a monster tip you're onto! I don't know why but teapot spouts remind me of a snooty schwoo! Also I recently saw a bottle with a label on that said it was tooth liniment . Your history in video is so much more interesting than the history books were at school. But then the items you were finding were sometimes still in use when I was in school. Insulin bottles still look quite similar to those from the past. I love the bottle stoppers! They are much more interesting than the bottle tops today. Please stay safe and be careful! ❤
