I wish more parents/carers knew this, oh course exams results and academic are important but I think a childs emotional and social development is actually more crucial to support and help develop like their confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and overall help them to become a kind caring person with good manners 😊 xx

So true and so important. More teachers are needed that think like this. It's become such a hectic chaotic unpleasurable job for so many- for so many reasons. I cry when I hear teachers like this. Never stop being kind and believing in those kids

I am a horrible tester, always have since I was young. I always understood the work and made great grades, but when it came to standardized tests I had anxiety and would blank. Because of all of that it has helped me be the mom I am who doesn't give two poops on the scores because I know they mean nothing. I always ensure my children get wnough sleep and eat prior to test days, but on our way to school we do our affirmations, prayers, and on those test days I say all anyone can as of you is your best. If you do your best I'm proud of you because no one can ask you to do better than you best. You are smart and no test can measure that. I truly love ya'lls podcast/youtube because it gives me an insight of how as a parent I can help their teachers help my children better and help advocate for teachers better. So thank ya'll for getting this out there.

I wish more teachers had this mentality. I understand the pressures and expectations that teachers go through and it’s not far, but those little things help troubled students today become great people tomorrow. I still remember every teacher that did stuff like that for me. I unfortunately may not remember their names but I remember what they did.

oh my goodness! thank you, I don't know how long I've been trying to say this to people. Schools in Australia aren't listening, my sons school keeps dismissing me and then they say they will help him and never do. Yet when his at home doing his homework he does it perfectly. Thank you for sharing this. x

We need to get this message out to more parents. If kids can’t regulate their emotions and learn the social skills to function in society, no amount of “book learning” will make up for that loss. Teachers need to help parents understand this. Too many simply don’t seem to these days.

Probably because he did it himself and as someone who sometimes paints their own nails it’s really difficult to get the right hand so I just give up sometimes and only have my left hand painted😂
