the two sodas and two beers thing doesn't mean that they should or could do it every day or every week, that was the MAXIMUM. So if they go for drinks on Saturday they can only have 2 beers and that it's all, and if they don't drink at all the rest of the week it's fine, doesn't mean they HAVE TO

Depression had made me stop eating instead of eating more. I ended up losing over 25 pounds in the course of 3 months and had severe dehydration.

What they're not doing is breaking down why. Sugars, especially processed sugars cause increases of dopamine in the brain very similar to that of cocaine and heroin. If a person becomes accustomed to consuming a lot of sugar that also means they become used to having unnaturally high levels of dopamine, when you have too much dopamine and can create more instantly on demand rather than working for it you will become depressed, and stressed. The things you used to easily enjoy, the hobbies you invested so much in, ect become bland as the sugar fueled dopamine rushes exceed everything else. Cutting out sugar will also come with withdrawal effect and in some if they consume a LOT of sugar can experience withdrawal effects similar to those cocaine... Sugar is the most addictive drug that nobody knows is a drug.

This isn't necessarily wrong or right, its correct for some people who are less healthy but I eat relatively healthy and I have been for years because of my depression, yet it hasn't made it better. Even when I was first diagnosed with depression, I was a very healthy person, it always depends on the person. You can't always beat depression from changing simple things, sometimes its just too complex and you have to figure out what you need to repair in your own mind, which aren't always related to how others are.

Pinuh I think they mean people who constantly eat take out because maybe they feel to down to cook but then eat unhealthy and feel worse, just to get them started healthier not , necessarily everyone you can be depressed no matter what food you eat or money you have, it's just time 😞

@@TheJazGrant You're right, circumstances matter almost as much or more than your diet. I can't eat nuts because of allergies but I cook 95% of the family's meals. It doesn't help. My family is too busy to have a sit down meal together more than twice a week and the stress of always needing to cook has led me to stop doing hobbies I once enjoyed. It's to the point that sometimes taking a bite of food alone triggers a depressive episode that wreck the rest of the day.

That diet just sounds like eating proper actual food. Throw in the occaisional sweet thing and I am all for it! I personally have found that eating loads of fruit and vegetables (while not changing anything else (this often includes eating unhealthy foods)) has made me feel physically better.

low fat, low sodium, ect. can cause you to be depressed and unhealthy. if you don't want the fat don't eat the item at all because chances are the fat is there to help you break down what your eating. just eat as less processed foods and make better choices and avoid low anything. that and cut sugar intake because sugar can make you moody and depressed.

This is a painfully true study. Because when I was eating unhealthy I was feeling very depressed and uneasy all the time. I'm talking about Ramen, Twix, milk chocolate, you name it I ate it.... After a while I just kept not eating because I didn't know why I couldn't shake the habit of craving unhealthy foods but still feeling very bad about it. It took me to get on this bulking diet where I have to look at a lot of carbs and proteins and manage my sugars to realize that like hey this isn't that bad. It's okay to enjoy the food you love but I don't exactly eat for Taste anymore.. but the moment I go back to eating sugar it just puts me back in this depressed head aching State all over again it's just something I don't want to go back to.

It can beat depression, Sure. But it doesn't sound healthy at all. Including Soda, Red Meat into diet, not to mention beer! Drunk person can be happy, sure. But is drinking healthy? I am not discrediting this study but the sample size is too small and they have only consumed one diet (modimed diet), please add more subjected later with various different kinds of diet.

Milk and eggs cause depression but not because of karma, milk has lactose and most people can't digest it, and eggs have choline which can cause depressive symptoms. Organic beef or lamb usually doesn't cause this though

Yo it could be a food sensitivity, it's usually the morning toast that causes that for most people, gluten is a real killer. Milk (dairy) with the cereal is also a killer, so are eggs for some people.

SCREW this video. This is so... STUPID. I was happy when I could just eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted without a care in the world. I was happy. I was 56 kg. But then I installed this app... and set the goal to 51 kg in 4 months or something and I thought that would be more than easy because it would just mean to give up eating the whole candy and just have half of it or something...BUT NO. IN ORDER TO EVEN MEET the calories and not go overboard I had to give up all of the sweets, snacks and guilty pleasures. I could only get full and stay within the calories if I ate meat, veggies and oats and milk daily. And it's killing me. I'm crying I'm always thinking about food, I can't go on with my life normally because I'm just sitting and waiting for my next meal and then crying when I see that 1 quarter of my calorie budget is already spent if I have a slice of bread.

Don't waste your time. The video doesn't explain whatsoever the connection between the good or bad foods and depression, nor does it explain why the effects presented even happen. There may be no sugar in the foods, but the presentation is as sickeningly saccharin as it gets.

Don’t believe this crap. I have depression and eating candy and snacks makes me happy. I tried eating 100% healthy for 1 month and I felt more depressed. I’m normal weight so it doesn’t give me anxiety.
