Shadow’s portrayal is pretty decent. He didn’t pick a random fight with Sonic for no reason, Shadow seems aware of Sonic’s cockiness and he only fought him to prevent him from causing any trouble. Shadow clearly means well, he just has little tolerance for Sonic’s antics and it’s justified when Sonic later destroys their world

If shadow motives for fighting sonic is to prevent him from causing any trouble, what explains the fact that after he wins the fight by punching sonic straight in the face, he just lets him go on his marry way. The only way fighting would prevent sonic from making mistakes would be if he either restrained sonic after the fight or he outright killed him (which he wouldn’t do). Id say the show could have elaborated a bit more on shadow fighting sonic and trying to talk him some sense

About Shadow just fighting Sonic from the start, I think that energy blast from Sonic's first fight with Eggman, really messed Shadow up. He had this weird prophecy that Sonic would somehow ruin everything, and decides to just beat him up in the hopes of preventing it. That's how I understood that duel at least.

SO, I don't see Shadow as trying to fight Sonic unnecessarily. I think he realizes at this point that Sonic isn't gonna slow down to talk to him, so he has to FORCE him to stop. The only way? Deck him. Knock him out of his pace. I say "at this point" as in Shadow has been watching Sonic get cockier and stop listening to people, even his best friends. I think this is the only way Shadow can find to get him to slow down and listen to him whatsoever, so he's taking what he can. That and he's clearly sick of Sonic fucking things up, he immediately pins the massive energy blast (rightfully imo) on Sonic. TL;DR: I think Shads is superior and has to fight Sonic for him to listen.

Notice when Nine abandoned the gang, Rusty Rose got sad, I think that Rusty got upset because she'll be controlled under the Eggman Council again, not only that but when she met Pirate Amy, she kinda glitched for a split second and canceled her order to the robots to kill Sonic and the others on that pirate ship, She probably got scared about killing herself, at Episode 8 when she's fighting the heroes, she gets more and more expressive, she gets more angry and even freaks out when she sees Pirate Amy again. Rusty is probably showing her humanity, I'm looking forward to her character arc in future episodes.

It's alright so far. My only complaint is that Sonic acts dumb a lot of the time, even forgetting abilities he and others have displayed after a few minutes. They focus hard on him not paying attention to things like his surroundings in order to have him make mistakes to further the plot. Like a lot of things would go differently if he wasn't easily side-tracked. But this is the Prime version of Sonic so I'll have to accept his ADD and see where it goes. Curious to see how he gets the shards when he's unable to touch them normally.

Honestly I absolutely adore Sonic Prime! I'm rewatching it for like the third time and seeing all the tiny details is awesome! The little flicks of characters ears, twitches of eyes, and the animation in general is AMAZING! Yes it has its flaws, but it is definitly my favorite Sonic show

I have many thoughts about this show i wanna get out real quick -overall i really like this so far and like the plot and the animation so much -for characters i really loved nine, rusty rose, and renegade knucks, knuckles the dread and rebel rouge -sonic himself is very interesting as he’s a bit more kid friendly but still has the base things that i like about sonic, and giving him a character arc feels very interesting -my only negatives i have right now is the flashbacks can be a little too close to each other making them a little repetitive and I personally think the baby eggman is very annoying -i love how after these 8 episodes i still have many questions and look forward to more the show has to offer -for theories and questions my major ones are what role shadow will play, if we will see more chaos emeralds, rusty roses backstory, if we will see anymore dimensions, and if we will learn how the egg council came to be

8/10 is a good rating. I feel like the biggest flaw with it is that Sonic feels way too dumb and immature (especially compared to the rest of the cast), although that might be because of how Sonic was portrayed in Frontiers. Like it feels like they saw the snark and mislabeled the source of it. Normally, the snark comes from Sonic being optimistic and confident, and while still present, a lot of jokes and Sonic's behavior in general in Prime so far makes his brain seem a bitless wrinkly than it really should be, like how he forgot about his hover shoes in the pirate mini arc immediately after discovering he has hover shoes. It stands out even more since he used his new gear a ton in the previous mini arc. Sonic may not be especially intelligent, but he's not dull either and quite quick witted (fittingly lol). It seems like they did it that way so they could avoid the issue of a perfect protagonist, but I do feel like they took it a little too far. He seems much more mature by the end of the season, so hopefully that trend continues into the future of the series. If it does and they don't drop the ball with the rest of the story, Sonic Prime will undoubtedly be the best animated Sonic series to date.

I just LOVE what they did with amy and rouge in the prime universe. Rouge isn't overly sexualized and her new outfit is amazing, her character is fantastically written too, and Amy isn't an annoying stalker but rather a sweet kind person who can kick some butt when it matters. She even gets mad at sonic when he doesn't appreciate the palm tree surprise!

Sonic is an over the top crazy cinematic universe, Sonic's weaknesses can be exploited and other characters can counter or deal with stuff etc. Sonic can have flaws but he shouldn't have many, as that DIRECTLY goes against what made Sonic SO DAMN COOL in the first place. That's why Unleashed and Black Knight are so insanely brilliant, they have Sonic grow in strength, but they pit him against enemies or situations that directly counter him. Sonic is confident, Sonic is powerful, Sonic is a character who prefers working alone. Example: Enerjak killing literally everyone but SIlver's powers being the perfect counter against something that was able to defeat even Sonic. It illustrates Enerjak's power and it makes him feel like a menacing threat, and it gives SIlver a lot of respect. Say what you will about the comics, but they do what Prime is doing way better. Characters aren't useless and they are still extremely powerful, making for some insane action, plots, etc. Hopefully by the end of Prime Sonic grows into his Frontiers self, or an element of that at least. And Rouge's VA sounds how she basically always has? I've never gotten that vibe, Rouge since SA2 has been way more then some degenerate character, and if it takes her outfit changing for you to realize that... well ya' need help lol

Gotta say, I love Nine's personality and design. Idk what it is, but if Sonic needs a reboot for the modern day, maybe they should've added cloths to their main cast to instantly boost their personalities. Blaze, Nine, Boom Amy, and even this alternate Big the cat look great with cloths(Big with a fishing hat + vest would look good too). I still prefer the tv show Boom Sonic's personality and Boom Amy's too(Amy in Boom is perfection for her character imo). Pirate Knuckles has a really good personality too, I agree with Sonic :') I only fear Sonic will dwindle with so many spin offs though... You have the 2D game's universe, the Adventure universe, the 06 universe, the boom universe, the forces universe... the Movie universe, and now the Prime universe(seems like a reboot too). It's hard to talk to people about Sonic when they aren't already into the fandom

It would be a cool thought/idea if the Shatter-spaces are very deeply infinite in universal breaching that we could see in a final battle against the Chaos Council would be having Sonic fight alongside other versions of himself {like his other transformations}; i.e. meaning we see Sonic Prime's Modern Sonic fight alongside with Classic Sonic, Darkspine Sonic, Excalibur Sonic, & Sonic the Werehog from other Shatter-space dimensions/universes (and maybe both Modern & Classic go Super Sonic for a nice touch).

After Sonic Boom, it was refreshing to see Sonic's team with old designs. And Amy seems normal and less obssesed with Sonic. Knuckles in normal shape and not stupid like in Boom. And Sonic Prime gives an opportunity of characters from different perspective. Nine for example, he never met Sonic.

I have more thoughts on how I think shadow can be like here. But I am just going to talk about the ending of episode 8. When Shadow brings Sonic into the void, he would be glaring at sonic. Sonic would be going on with his "I don't have time to deal with whoever you are" thing. Then Shadow would say, VERY sternly, "SHUT. UP." Sonic would be silent, very unnerved at the way Shadow said that. Shadow would then say something along the lines of "Go home?...GO HOME?! HOME DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE BECAUSE OF YOU! I tried to warn you, I tried to tell you what I saw when that burst of energy hit me, but you wouldn't listen! The home you want to go back to? The home that I swore to protect? IT'S GONE! All because you wouldn't listen! Like I said I have more thoughts on shadow, and this is a rough draft, but I wanted to say what I think would go down. Also, I would've said the this show would be set in an alternate universe where Sonic would be new at this whole thing, and that although he does care about his friends, his ego still hasn't been put in check. Would also probably change the name of the show to Sonic Shattered or something along those lines.

2022 is the year of sonic! Sonic Movie 2! Is the movie that truly broke the bad video game movie curse! Sonic Origins! Exists... Sonic Frontiers! Is one of the greatest games this year! After a long 5 year wait, we finally got a sonic game worth all the hype! Sonic Prime! I would LOVE to see other games as shattered spaces, imagine Sonic just falling off the sky (again) and as he looks up whle in the ground he sees Amy's dress from Sonic and the Black Knight. (Sorry I love that game I couldn't resist--) But yeah I also would like a Boom shattered space, not because I liked the show (which, to be honest, I kinda didn't but it's fun anyways) but because I love Sticks and the Boom version of Amy and Tails.

I’m probably the only person in this universe that didn’t like how Sonic was getting smacked around so much, like I know Sonic is not a god and that he should not be portrayed like one, but at the same time he shouldn’t be getting ragdolled or pushed by ordinary badniks. Also another thing, it’s not that SEGA is portraying sonic as an all knowing protagonist, it’s just that his friends aren’t doing anything and his foes are to weak.

I love this entire show. Just everything (well almost everything). I like this Sonic portrayal. I just adore him. It isn't my favorite as Frontiers is my favorite Sonic. I love them for different reasons. The pace is off definitely but it could be worse. I love all the Tails'. All hold my heart here. I just dont have a lot of words for just how much I love it besides I love and adore it.

I gave this show a chance. Bad news is, Netflix is recommending more cartoons, and it's not even the good ones. Good news is, it was worth it. I'm in love with this show. Deconstruction is my favorite element in a story, especially when it is its main factor. The prime examples of it for me are Thorn, the Chaos Council and Nine (I'm only gonna focus on Nine and Thorn for the rest of this comment though). Nine is an amazing and interesting partner to have. Tails is a funny prey to play with. It's a shame Nine can only exist as long as reality remains broken. It would be so good to see those two meet. (I incline my head a bit for my hair's shadow to cover my eyes while twisting my mouth into a predatory/Joker like smile) I truly love the contrast between innocence and efficiency. Sometimes by watching both tear each other apart. Sometimes by watching both balancing each other out. This Kitsune and baby fox present a rather unpredictable duo, as I don't know if they work better as a team or as rivals. And just like Momobami Kirari, I sometimes love what's unpredictable in order to test myself. What do you think ? Even if my wished meeting is impossible, I hope Nine at least meets Thorn. I think those two would get along pretty fine. Even if she's slightly more selfless, she's still as ruthless as him in the name of her goals. But just like him, deep down, she also cares. For few, but they do.

I don't know if we'd be able to see the boom squad or any classic universe for the sole reason being that in each universe we've seen, there's no alternate Sonic (or shadow) and I'm wondering if it's because they got absorbed into the shatter space unlike the rest who were split by it, the others are broken pieces of alternate versions but Sonic gets to keep being the only one.

I really love this show. i admit i wasn't really feeling Robot Amy at first but the more you get to know her the more you start to really feel for her. I really hope Blaze comes up in the series but I feel like they probably wouldn't do that. we lucky we got Shadow. but here hoping for Comics and other characters cross over.

I don’t know, maybe Amy will be able to be turned-back. They did it several times in the comics and were able to get through to Sonic’s Uncle Chuck even after he was robotized in Sat A. M..So, maybe there is some hope.
