@@sgowens197 Different recruiting services have different rankings but technically under Head Coach Mack Brown, the University of Texas had two #1 recruiting classes. The first was in 2002, and the second was in 2005. LSU doesn’t have the #1 recruiting class every year but Tiger Nation expects them to win or at least compete for a National Championship every year because of the level of talent they have. The point of the video is great recruiting classes doesn’t always equate to success on the field. Boise State have had great teams with all 2 and 3 ⭐️ players. The year the Patriots and Seahawks played in the Super Bowl neither team had a player above 3⭐️s. I can give multiple other examples. Being a 4 or 5 ⭐️ player doesn’t mean you will automatically become a great player or a team with a great recruiting class won’t always translate into success on the field.

@ I’m not doubting anything you said I’m just basing it on what I remember. It was 20 years ago so I don’t remember; however, I do remember watching it on WAFB (here in Baton Rouge) after ESPN covered it because this was the rankings: 1. Texas 2. USC 3. LSU 4. FSU 5. Miami They were bragging about the stellar recruiting class LSU and Les Miles had. One LSU fans was saying they should have had a better class. I was thinking, shut the 🤬 up. Let some of those players come to Southern and we will be good! 😂🤣🤣 The two previous sentences is what I REMEMBER THE MOST!
