At university, I did a module on Phillip II and the lecturer was a Spaniard. He HATED that awful Spanish Armada movie. He was great.

Absolutely love these, is there any chance of a series of videos like this about the Holy Roman Empire and its aristocractic details? Material involving medieval period often shys away from Germany and its HRE history due to ww1 & 2 taking the spotlight. Would love to understand the politics, structure, baroque & gothic as well as where the classical mythologies originated like vampires, Frankenstein etc. your so talented in this I have recommended you to several people already.

This was great, although I'd add that we know that the Irish don't have any ancestry from the Armarda, it's a fun tale but the genetic research has disproven this. It's just a genetic variability that is found within a localised population.
