Back in the days I had the Bose sound dock 10, the b&w zepplin, the beats by Dre beatbox, Phillips alarm clock dock and more. Every room in my house had a dock for my iPhone and iPod. Once they introduced airplay I sold all my docks and moved to AirPlay speakers.

I remember not being able to afford an Ipod but really wanting a specific Ipod dock. Had to get a gross looking adapter that cost way to much at an old school specialty audio store.

i still have my bose dock speaker it has a lightning connection! i still use it to this day and it still sounds good. it also has a 3.5mm input for an aux cable. so i have hooked up to my tv!!

Bose sound dock had better fidelity than most of their other products and most other brands as well. I still own one and its the best portable speaker I have heard so far. Bose should have worked on a better work around solution rather than abandoning the dock.Big mistake.

Never liked the speaker docks. I had one from Sony Ericsson only because i got it for free with the w710i. Back then it sounded good but almost never used it as i usually used the mps-60 speakers because they where also portable. I've passed certain products i liked just because of the docking capability. It's because i was aware of the changing ports if there would be a need to upgrade and make your docking station worthless. I think Bluetooth speakers also made speaker docks obsolete as it's much easier to just tap your phone to connect using nfc and be able to still use your phone freely. Aaron it would also be nice if you could do a video on unconventional audio products like the Bose sleep buds, Sony Xperia ear duo, those neckband straps etc.
