100% men don't have a problem with the concept of marriage or how it works we have a problem with literally getting bent over a barrel in divorce court and losing everything regardless why the divorce happened think about it as a man you could have a House a wife 3 kids a good paying job but one day your wife decides she's not happy nothing you can do about it she divorces you kicks you out of your house you can no longer see your kids every day you lose half your money and stuff and have to pay her every week and the worst part ? eventually she will get a new boyfriend move him into your house and now your paying for the privilege of the woman whos supposed to be your wife fucking some other dude in your house

I forgot to add who needs a RR? Can't you just take the train or the bus? Obviously public transport is something the US really lacks. And if you are a family/country man, can't you just chill with a Honda or a pickup? And if not, there are even many Benzes much cheaper than RR anyway 🙂

People who ride buses are regarded as lower than "Women of Walmart" or "Florida Man." Nothing is close enough to get to by bicycle. Bike riders are regarded only slightly better than bus riders. I'm not saying this is "right", but it is a fact.

@@Analymous nah, look at 1 Corinthians 7. Paul explicitly talks about singleness as a gift and while there’s nothing wrong or sinful about marriage, he says when you’re married you don’t have the freedoms to serve and witness for the kingdom that you do when you’re single. Again not to take away from marriage because raising a family and being head of the household is totally biblical and good, but the opportunities to serve and witness are infinitely less after marriage.

@cyclonejane
@cyclonejane Жыл бұрын
@@kebas239 Anecdotes are not evidence, but that point aside, I would argue that the opposite is true in most cases. It is usually the woman’s life that is compromised by marriage: her options for independence and self-reliance are cut off, particularly if she gives birth and particularly if she marries early in life. Most divorces in the US are not settled in the way your friend’s case was. Generally, the assets of both parties are deemed marital assets and split down the middle. If wealthy men marry, they should have pre-nuptial agreements. If the woman had the capacity to earn a living, pay her own bills, make decisions about her own life prior to marriage, she is at least better prepared to take care of herself as a divorcee. Unfortunately, most men like women younger than they are, so a female who has never taken care of herself is at a particular disadvantage. Sometimes that is reflected in the divorce settlement.
@mazipaz9709
@mazipaz9709 Жыл бұрын
I will say this is partially untrue in the cases i've seen where it's the woman paying the alimony and the gentleman taking more than 1/2 of a 401k he did not contribute to. So divorce hit's both parties financially like a ton of bricks depending on the state you're living in. state by state. So the risk is there for both men and women.

@cyclonejane that's not anecdotal, that's the reality that married men face. It happens all the time. "It's cheaper to keep her" is a factual sentiment. The system is easily abused by women, and men know it. Plus there's the emotional risk of being cheated on, etc.

I turned 40 yesterday and am a virgin single male Christian man, 6"2, bald but ok looking (I think), well travelled, level headed, sociable. It's been 8 years since I was properly with someone and that only lasted a few months and the time before that I was in an abusive relationship for a year going back 10 years ago now. I can't believe it's been this long since I was with someone and I'm rapidly thinking it is over for me. What's more is your confidence takes a huge knock and you convince yourself that something must be wrong with you. In my case, it could be the brown skin or the baldness or perhaps I just don't have enough going for me. Women's expectations are so high now that you can't just be an average man. I used to regularly date but even that isn't happening much anymore. I do think I'm not meeting enough women on a regular basis, so the only way I "meet" women are through dating apps. I still seem to get matches but it goes nowhere. They usually just disappear. I rarely even meet someone I want to pursue. The few I do aren't into me and the ones that are, I'm not into. I keep praying and seeking God over this but there still appears to be no progress or hope and as a result, it's no surprise I've ended up in a rut of bitterness. Worse still I don't want to descend into hating women. It may not be too late to meet someone but with age my options are limited and time is running out. I am worried about being left on the shelf and being alone for the rest of my life and dying alone and just ending my life as a bitter old man. My parents are getting older and eventually I will have no one around me.

I mean, I completely agree, but counter point. If every woman you meet is toxic and not worthy of marriage, maybe the problem is you. I have two people in my life whom I love dearly, both of whom are going through a divorce. The first one got tired of having sex with the same woman, and filed for divorce. He spent the past 4 years complaining about his wife, how evil she is, etc. I finally had a long and serious heart to heart with him about his decisions, and at the end of it he admitted that everything in their marriage was actually a result of him refusing to work on their marriage and really only being interested in banging new women. He still blames her for everything, but when it’s only me and him with no one else around, he admits to me it was all him and had nothing to do with her. The other guy simply refused to deal with any issues in his marriage for fifteen years. He also cheated, but he thinks no one knows. So he goes around talking about how his bitch ex cheated and left him. To this day he has no idea that everyone knows he’s actually the one who cheated, because he didn’t realize the way he did it made it incredibly easy to be caught. We don’t live in a society of men. We live in a society of petulant children, boys and girls both. But if you walk around smelling poop all day, check your own shoe. My wife is incredible.

Here is some advice. You attract what you are. If your a trash person your gonna attract flies. Or if you really don't wanna take responsibility. You attract what you put up with. Either way you pick a 304 a girl that was a striper or only fans or clearly for the streets and YOU marry her... that's on you my guy. Lol Just like if a woman picks a man that is a pimp or a Playa. He shows all the signs, has cheated on her before and she STILL marries him. That's on HER.

@@ladyofnoxus6733 I dont think you understand the current state of things in the dating world majority of the time(80-90%) of divorces are initiated by women and its mostly over some rubbish like "we grew apart" the fact whether you like it or not is there is so much incentive for women to divorce its not even funny...even the "playa" hardly ever initiate divorces....im rambling now basically its not marriage guys are worried about its the divorce and with an almost 90% probability the other party will break the contract and still get rewarded for breaking it is insane....better to write a book or something if its legacy you want

Marriage to the right person is worth it. I did it. My husband had a young child and divorce debt, We got married for $50 bucks and we survived. Hell, we have been through some crap. My husband was in an accident and was depressed for 2 years. We had a miscarriage. I had emergency back surgery and am currently going through depression myself after my dad ended his life this year and homeschooling our son and running 2 business. I found my ride or die Marriage is hard. Find someone who is committed to you no matter what life throws your way.

I’m 58 year old, never married, no kids and for the life of me I can’t see why today this is so looked down upon. When I was a kid growing up it was common for there to be older people and even elderly people in the neighborhood who never married or had kids and it was never questioned or looked down upon they were just people who never married or had kids. Both my parents had cousins in their families who never married or had kids. In my own case I was able to be full time caregiver to my Dad in his last days and I can’t see how I could’ve done that married with a family to support. Of course I believe in marriage and family but we have to get out of the mindset that a lifelong single adult has nothing to contribute to society.

A good woman can raise her husband up and help him to mold himself into somebody who CAN support her and several children. She can be his coach and his queen and make him into the hero for his family. If she makes it so the only thing he needs to do is make money, cash won’t be the problem. It’ll be time instead. Women have been told that we are simple creatures that only want sex and food. What we really want is to be the hero of our story. All day, every day we get rejected by everyone and everything. We are told we are monsters and at the same time that we are weak. But I’ve never seen a woman 900 feet deep inside a mine collecting the resources needed to make all the things that make our lives possible.
